Here I am Yelping about another CFS. I guess I can't help the desire to review stuff with which I interact in business like I do restaurants, etc.
So - Salson. Mixed bag sometimes. Sort of run of the mill CFS. They do unload quickly, and many times, I hear from drivers, they don't have long wait times (unlike what I hear about St George and some others, where drivers sit forever). All good.
If you're only looking to retrieve your cargo from a consol box, and don't require any special handling, or need a container broken down, they'll do it. They don't do small handling jobs particularly well or quickly - and they charge more than many other CFSs for them. Whereas some other CFSs will do small favors for you sometimes, that seems to be unheard of here. If you don't have an account with them, the best they'll do is release a shipment on a faxed-check with an overnight tracking number. They did once sit on a check of mine for two days before even realizing they had it, after I called accounting and accounting checked with the front desk.
I also recently needed one carton out of a particular lot handed to FedEx. $50 handling fee - check-by-fax - sent them the label by email. All worked out. Sent my driver - got the shipment. Guess what - they never pulled the carton. Urgent shipment where they needed a portion (any portion) early. It sucks, but honestly, I have to only compare them against the others - and these are just logistics machines - only a very small few stand out.
