I needed to have 9 lined drapery panels hemmed (3 different lengths) and the seamstress that I usually go to quoted me $48 per panel. I decided to look elsewhere and came across Salsauli's on Yelp. I was a bit nervous about trying someone new, but decided to go for it. I brought the panels in for them to look at and was told it would be $30 per panel... Quite a difference from the other seamstress! I was told that they would be ready in two weeks, and was happily surprised when they called me after a week and a half to let me know they were ready to be picked up. They did a beautiful job on them and all of the lengths were spot on and even! Their shop is located on front Street in Danville and is run by two sweet European women. One thing to know is that they do not accept credit cards. They informed me of this when they called to say that my drapes were ready for pick up. I appreciated the heads up, as I was not aware of this and would not have been prepared. I will definitely use them again when the need arises! read more

My wedding dress fit perfect after the alterations. They did such an amazing job working with my heavy beaded dress. I needed to relocate the zipper, take it in all around, and added tie bustles to hold it up. The quality workmanship is amazing which is why they're always busy. I fortunately found this business on Yelp. For many years I went to a tailor in Walnut Creek, but I found the owner was very inflexible in getting things done in a timely manner and her prices went up substantially. I called this business on a Tuesday and spoke with Heidi. I informed her that I'm going on a trip to Europe and need my jumpsuit altered by Friday. She told me to come in soon and that she will get them done. She was so friendly and warm and promised them by Friday. I received a call from her on Thursday to inform me the work was completed and I could pick them up. She did an absolutely beautiful job on hemming the lining as well as the pants and putting in a hook in the top to secure the closure. On top of it the price was very reasonable. Thank you Heidi! The alterations here were very high quality and done right on time. We had a wedding dress and 2 gowns done. The sisters who own the business and do all the sewing had good ideas on fixes and made last-minute changes quickly and beautifully. We had ordered extra lace to add straps to the wedding gown. They found just the right sections, trimmed it perfectly, and sewed them on so they looked like they had been part of the it from the start. I brought in my 40-year old veil for them to press for my daughter to wear. They handled that with care, too. Can't say enough good here! read more

Salsaul's WRECKED a brand-new-with-tags still attached pair of $300 white slacks over a simple hem job. They left huge black charcoal hem lines on fabric and then proceeded to hem each leg unevenly from front to back. Please see pics posted. The back of the slacks is at least 1/8th of an inch shorter than the front on one leg and a 1/4 of an inch shorter on the other. Needless to say both legs are completely uneven and neither leg is the length I requested. They also remove the tags and threw them away. When asked for a refund of the $20 cash the owner laughed and hung up on me. I will be filing suit in small claims court. read more

I just picked up my dress that I had hemmed today. It's a bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding next month and all it needed was an inch taken off the front of the dress. The ladies were super nice and stayed a little late to take me when I first went in because of my work schedule. The one thing I forgot to ask before is the cost. They charged me $85 just to take off an inch on only the front of the dress! If I had known that, I would've done it myself for free. They are really sweet ladies but crazy over priced. I think I'll only go back if I need major work done on something so the price will actually be worth it. read more

The charming, lovely ladies that own Salsauli's Tailoring are amazing with their expertise in tailoring and attention to detail. Heidi and Guity have many years of experience, and Heidi learned how to tailor from her mother who worked for Michael Kors (perched upon a shelf is a photo of her Mom with the designer in his younger days). I've brought them formal gowns, one of which they suggested adding bra cups so the outline of a bra wouldn't show on my back through the thin, light colored silk. Smart! They've also repaired holes in sweaters, altered jeans, keeping original hems and they once repaired a silk blouse that was coming apart at the seams, into it's original condition. I don't think there is anything they couldn't do. A good tailor can often be expensive, but I've found pricing to be quite reasonable. Head to the ATM though before you pick up your garments- they accept cash only. read more

Wow! I can't say enough wonderful things about these two ladies. They completely SAVED me and my wedding dress cap sleeves! I brought my dress to them 2 weeks before my wedding because I was unhappy with the way the sleeves had turned out. They had a very positive approach and were ready and willing to fix it at a very reasonable cost. Oh my gosh. these two ladies are fantastic!..and I mean this in NO small way! My daughter had a wedding dress "fix" that needed being done (one week before the wedding!), and by golly, they got it done...and beautifully, too. On top of that they detailed my cocktail dress for the rehearsal dinner (which turned out gorgeous), and let out my hubby's costume for the reception (it was a costume wedding reception ala Pre-Halloween). Everything, and I mean all of it, turned out beautifully and on schedule. This was no easy task, by the way, as one of these ladies was traveling back and forth between the hospital, caring for her husband at the same time.
