One of the worst, if not the worst, Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. All around, the service, food, and drinks were horrible. We were seated immediately and waited about 10 minutes for a waiter to take our drink order. I ordered a draft beer (couldn't really mess that up), but my wife ordered the only margarita without orange juice in it (at least that's what he menu said), but when it arrived, there was orange juice in it. We looked around and only a few people had ordered margaritas, which should've been our first clue. How can a Mexican restaurant not have good margaritas?!?!? My wife ordered the guacamole and Mexican corn. The waiter made the guacamole table side, so at least we know it wasn't pre-made hours ago. It was decent, nothing special. The Mexican corn was horrible!! It was frozen corn, and was not good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and it was probably the worst I've ever had. It's was just grilled chicken topped with some sort of sauce loosely wrapped in a tortilla. It was topped with a bland green sauce that was very unappetizing. Also, they didn't serve a side of beans! I don't think I've ever been to a Mexican restaurant that didn't serve rice and beans as sides for any entree. Needless to say, we will not be returning here and caution anyone who has had real Mexican food to avoid this place!! read more

My family used to drive by several Mexican restaurants to get to Salsa's Bobby Jones location. We couldn't be happier that they've opened a new one closer to home. We go every week now! Wonderful and attentive service. Excellent food and specials. Been going for years and can still find new things on the menu, but the pollo con crema is my go-to. Horrible service. We spent almost 3 hours there and had the worst experience. The hostess kept seating tables before us, so we were stuck in the tiny lobby with 3 little kids for an hour. We should've left, but we kept getting told a large table would be available soon. They could've pushed a couple tables together, rather than seating everyone that walked in after us. Then the waitress was incredibly rude to us and made no acknowledgement about the wait. I asked her for some water for my son and she yelled at me to wait, and then of course never brought it. A manager came by and asked if we needed anything and I finally got a cup of water. It was ridiculous. The food is good, but there are a ton of Mexican restaurants to go to in Augusta with good food. Save the hassle and go to a place with decent service. I will not be back. read more

I went there for lunch this weekend. This was not good food. I was convinced that the real chefs were off and maybe the waiters were cooking. The last time I checked. A quesadilla had two tortillas and had cheese inside plus the chicken. This had chicken ( not sliced, and one tortilla folded over on itself with the cheese sauce that is served with the chips just poured over the top.) It was served with a small amount of chopped lettuce, onion and tomato. Nice try amigos. You will not get my money again. read more

I have been to this location three times since I have moved to GA a few months back for taco Thursday. Literally everytime i have been there my tacos have been either too cold, too soggy so I have to eat them with a fork, or terribly tasting and I couldn't eat them. They have messed up my order everytime to including either forgetting tacos or completely bringing the wrong ones. They also spilled water all over my phone. Terrible service and terrible food. I decided to try another local Mexican restaurant, and Salsa's happened to be within my line of sight. The drink specials were decent, and the margaritas were not watered down. The food was good, but I ended up feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. I ordered the BBQ pork nachos, which were fine, except for the fact that they consisted of about 12 chips and a little BBQ pork. For 8.99, I would expect much more food than what I received. I figure that the cook was either trying to pretend he works as a much nicer, fancier restaurant, or the owner was being cheap. Hard to tell. The chance I will be back is slim, since there are better places out there. read more

Pretty much like every other mexican restaurant in augusta, nothing special by any means. If you've ever lived out west you know all of these "mexican" restaurants in Augusta are about as Mexican as I am.... which is not at all... Buuuut if you're looking for the usual plate monterrey's/poblanos/salsas whatever, you can find it here. I'd recommend the Pollo Con Crema or the Fajitas. Also, chesse dip for the chips is pretty good here, but again same as every other mexican restaurant in the south. Aside from food quality, the atmosphere of this restaurant is nice and it's new and clean. Our service was good and they had a special going on for $5 half pitcher margaritas so that was awesome. read more

Coming from California I know what good Mexican food is. My hubby and I were out today doing errands and came across this place. Skeptical at first because I wasn't sure we would find Mexican food that we would like in GA. But we gave it a try and we are glad that we did. It was good and very tasty to us both. My hubby had the Tropical Burrito with a Corona and I had the Three Taco Special with a Jamaican Sunrise. We were pleased with the service and the prices. We will for sure be back again. read more

My husband and I came here for Cinco de Mayo, because our favorite Mexican restaurant (Monterrey was packed- what a mistake! The wait was long, but expected, however it felt like going to a picnic. Paper plates, cups, forks, etc. Even the margaritas were served n a plastic cup! No beer on draft. (Oh, yeah they had bottle only- served in a plastic cup). They were out of flautas that was on the menu, so the waitress suggested the taquitos. They had an old-greasy taste to them. On a positive note, the food was out quickly. I would give them negative stars if I could. I ordered a simple order of fajitas with extra rice for takeout. My first phone call I got out on hold for 10 minutes til I hung up and called back. Then I placed my order, after getting home and doing few things I sit down to eat, there's no tortillas for my fajitas and they did not give me my extra side of rice I paid for. There food is good but this is the second tome this has happened. Now I'm suppose to drive back up to this establishment to get 2 tortillas. The manager didn't speak English and asked me if I wanted to exchange my food. I don't recommend take out from this place unless you are thorough and do there job for them by checking the order before you leave. I only had a single order can't imagine what would be missing if you had a family order. So food is good but customer service is incompetent!! Make sure you check your order every time. read more

Taco Bell comes closer to authentic Mexican food than Salsa's. I ordered a top shelf mango margarita that was flavored with a peach mix. The Pollo Hawaiian I ordered tonight had two pieces of overcooked, tough, and dry chicken breasts with no flavor or seasoning. Under the chicken were two thin pieces of Land'O' Frost ham slices covered in cheese. The Rice- a- Roni red rice was cold and the refried beans were missing any kind of flavor. I had to ask our waitress, Diamon or Diamond, three times for a glass of water. She took fifteen minutes to process our bill and I had to wonder what she was doing with my credit card. I asked her if there had been a change in ownership in the last 2 years and she said " no; same owners as always". The owners must be absentee owners now. What an absolute waste of money and time; should have gone to Monterrey's. read more
