Very authentic Ny style pizza. Friendly service and even though this pizzeria appears to be in a gas station , it has a separate entrance and isn't in the gas station. It took me several years to get my wife to go there and we will definitely be back. read more

Very dissapointed in sals pizza the last 2 times we ordered, pizza was either burnt or cold upon delivery. Prices are high and orders were wrong.....buyer beware. Sals was good in the past, but lately it's been bad. Pat is the manager and has more excuses than toppings. Just saying. I'll stick with Carmines pizza kitchen from now on. read more

The pizza is great however the woman behind the counter literally screamed at me the minute we walked in the door about wearing my mask! Admittedly I took it off prior to sitting down because I was talking to my grandson so yes I should've had it on, but she should have handled it differently in my opinion and not of screamed out with a loud voice across the restaurant. My favorite pizza spot in town. Good crust, the right amount of cheese without it being a mess, and a simple sauce that doesn't try to be the star of the show. They have a lunch combo: two slices of cheese pizza and a drink for five bucks. It's a great deal; you get about the same amount of pizza as you would for their $7.50 mini pizza. They offer it all day, though if it's night you may have to wait for them to make a fresh pie. You can add toppings to your slices, but because the slices are already made, larger toppings won't get cooked like you probably want them to -- so adding, say, mushrooms is a bad idea. Also, let them know whether you want your slices cooked well done or less cooked and they'll gladly accommodate you. read more

Hi Sal - I am leaving you a 1 Star review because you are no longer delivering to my home which is only 2.6 miles away from the store. Oh, and apparently you were none to kind to the employees about the delivery radius and read them the riot act. I am not too disappointed but the delivery driver who I was tipping 20% to is probably unhappy with your "new rules". Great job - at least we all know you really are from New York. Your last pizza was super soggy in the middle and you use way too much garlic on everything too. I hate to say this, but Sal is rolling over in his grave. I have been coming here for years when Sal and his son Mike were running this place. If you don't cook a pizza on a screen the crust will burn and the center of the pizza will be wet and soggy. Always remember when you take over our buy a family business you are representing the past family. If someone says something about your business take it to heart and don't respond like a fool. Wish you the best. Put screens under your pizza and get your temperature checked on your oven. You can fix it before it's too late. You burned my pizza. read more

Absolutely, dissatisfied and disappointed. I ordered a order of hot wings and chicken Cesar salad. First off I received no utensils or napkins and spent $30.00. The salad was brown, the chicken was absolutely dry and disgusting! The dressing tasted like it was mixed with gingerbread. It was utterly disgusting. We decided to try this place one night. I know it used to be an old Villa Pizza years and years ago. It's a little similar to them, as far as the pizza. Their meatballs were 5/5. Very flavorful and soft! Good cheese pizza, great chicken fingers. Their garlic knots are a little too dry for my taste, but otherwise, it was a good experience. I have been going to Sal's for years now and they are one of my favorite pizza places in town. Their pizza sauce alone sees them standing out over many other pizza joints in town, and they have always been very friendly and efficient whether it be for pick up or delivery! Their ranch is my favorite and they make it in house, goes great with their wings. Definitely would recommend getting the medium sauce on the wings, perfect amount of kick and tang! read more

Good friends from NYC had eaten here and promised me this was the best New York-style pizza in Vegas. The place is hard to find even using GPS (it is behind the Arco station, attached to the station's convenience store). To call the ambiance casual is being too generous. Austere but very clean. It appears to be set up to do mostly take out business (and while we were there, we were the only eat-in diners. About 8 take-out pick ups came thru in that time). The folks behind the counter couldn't be nicer, very friendly. They serve a thin crust pizza. One of the pies had the oil dripping off it - very New York. Maybe I have lost my taste for New York style pizza. I just felt it was very ordinary. The toppings were less than generous. Lot's of better pizza in the area. read more

have ordered from Sal's previously with great results last night ordered pizza it showed up only half cooked when we called back to let them know they offered to make a new pizza and when we received it they had made sure they put so many jalapeños on it that it wasn't eatable. This place has probably some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life. I have given this place so much business and the special pie creations are consistently perfect every time. Had a half cheese, half veggie. Great crust & perfect amount of cheese & veggies. Distinctly not "chain" like. Reasonably priced & delivery available. Pasta & Italian sandwiches are also on the menu, but I haven't tried them. Small, clean dining area. Tried Sal's for the first time tonight with a friend of mine - we did a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 cheese and pepperoni pizza and mozzarella sticks. The mozz sticks were delicious! The only reason I gave 4/5 stars was because we requested that the pizza be a little more well done - when the pizza was picked up, one of the chefs asked if I could check the pizza out to make sure it's okay as he said he thinks he might have cooked it a little too long (which I totally appreciate him asking us to check it before I left!).. and it looked great! I told him it looked perfect! However, when I got home, we noticed the bottom was burnt... the pizza was still good but I probably would have given 5 stars if it didn't have the burnt taste to most of the slices LOL Again, I should have looked at the bottom of it when I was picking it up, so my fault there.. but I'm also wondering if the chef noticed it too lol We will give this place another shot soon and just skip asking for it "a little more well done" next time! Didn't even get to try the food. The customer service alone earned a one star. I had called to place an order for delivery. I couldn't find what their delivery radius was, but I looked it up and found out that I live exactly three miles from the place and since most pizza places limit is about five miles I figured I was good. The guy routinely answers the phone and when we get to where I give him my cross streets, he literally begins to laugh out loud, repeats back the incorrect cross streets, and condescendingly states "Allll the way up there? No way, man. Sorry." As I attempt to correct him of the actual crossroads, I have to pause and wait for his snide chuckling to subside. I once again repeat the crossroads and he quickly responds "yeah, we don't deliver there, either, man" and begins to chuckle again. At this point, my mind so trying to gather what is so unbelievably funny... I inform him that I'm a simply three miles away, thinking he may still not be understanding where I'm located. I was essentially met with a "yeahhhh...we're still not gonna deliver there." I canceled the order and hung up. I've never known a pizza place where you had to literally live next door to get it delivered. I ended up ordering from a place called Pizza, My Dear and it was fantastic! NOT TRUE. security cam shows no one at the door at all. my phone doesn't have a call from them and we have 4 dogs that go crazy when someone is at the door. so they're lying. the person who answered their phone was RUDE, talks over you, cuts you off, goes away from phone without saying please hold and didnt really care at all. i had to ask if it was their first week on the job. got a refund. won't order from there again. read more
