I never got to try the food I was so excited I found a new Yorker here who said this was the closest pizza to the type we have at home. On the upside they do have philly ice . My main problem was while the young lady was making my Philly Ice the gentleman who was making the pizzas took a phone call on his cell phone had it in his ear holding it with his shoulder while constructing someone else's order of pizza I watched Tim put on the marinara, the cheese and then the toppings all with no gloves all without skipping a beat in his conversation unfortunately I have not tasted the food nor will I because I don't know where his hands have been a waste of $20 read more

I'm a little late in posting. But my office had a party last Friday. We had a large order. 11 pizzas, 25 mediums, 25 hot chicken wings, garlic bread, and cheesy bread. Order was ready on time. Service was excellence. I believe, Jo helped us. (I hope I got her name right). Excellence food. No leftovers at all. I go to Sal's when I can. It is a 13-minute walk from my office. Best pizza in town!! Pizza is a a food group on the food pyramid in my book and after trying different places around Vegas for years this is our favorite go to spot. Sure there are other fancier places out there but we love a good old fashioned greasy, cheesey Brooklyn style pizza and this place hits the spot every single time. This is definitely the closest to a New York slice I've had in Vegas. And their ranch is delicious! We always order extra! The customer service is also impeccable. I moved and when I ordered online it ended up reverting to the old address so the pizza got sent there. Definitely not their fault!! We don't eat pizza as often as we used to, my teenager tries to eat super athlete healthy, tonight was an exception to our routine and Sal's cheese pizza is her favorite. So I decide to surprise her and order a large pizza half cheese for her and other stuff for us. I tell her that I ordered Sal's and she's excited on her way home from practice. I walk in the house and open the pizza and...... :( ALL the pizza has yummy toppings. I pick up the phone and call (because it's likely I messed the order up on the app - technology, ya know?) and they were so great! Sal's checked the order, found that I, indeed, got it right (Um... go, me!) and offered to deliver me a replacement pizza! Who does that anymore???? WOW!! We've lived in the area for 25 years. Must have driven by this place a million times and often eaten at the Arby's close by. This was our first time eating here. We were looking for a close 'family owned and operated" pizza joint where you can get a couple of slices for lunch. Man...THIS IS IT. Two slices of some of the best, thinnest, crispiest cheese pizza and a drink for $4.99! Even with the economy the way it is, we can afford to eat at Sal's. We look forward to trying the Stromboli or calzone in the future. Our server, Jo, was a hoot! So friendly, so helpful and seemed to be glad that we came in. We will definitely be back--frequently. Ordered through the website on a sunday at 4pm, after an hour an 15 minutes I called to check on status. Was told it "should" be on the way. So I waited another 25 minutes, still no food. I called back and spoke to a manager who raised his voice at me and said it "should" be on the way...when the order finally arrived almost 2 hours later, cold pizza and soggy fingers. There are a lot of good pizza parlors in and around Las Vegas; Sal's Pizza is NOT one of them. I can't figure out why they have any favorable reviews on Yelp! My husband and I ordered a basic small cheese pie. It was very greasy with what tasted like from a jar tomato sauce and meh crust. We would have done better to have run to the Little Caesar's across the street. Could have spent a little less money there for a little larger pizza and the quality would have been about the same. But hey, what exactly should we have expected from a pizza joint run out of a gas station??? Not customer service. Customer service isn't something we should have expected. We actually planned on ordering a couple slices, but when the gal at the counter said the wait would be 10 to 15 minutes for the slices, we decided to go ahead and get the small pie since the wait would be the same. We didn't wait 10 minutes, not 15 minutes, but a half an hour. In this time we saw delivery drivers come and go loaded up with orders. When my husband went up to the counter to ask about when ours would be coming out, the lady running the oven was totally rude, smirked and said "we got really busy." No "sorry." No concern for the satisfaction of the paying customer! Lastly, both my husband and myself have concerns over the cleanliness of the restaurant. When employees obviously care so little about the customers they serve, it's hard to believe they would care very much about the tidiness of a kitchen. read more

Sals is a legit gem. Don't let the location fool you. Yes it's connected to a gas station but they are cooking up some goodness. Always fresh. Never had a bad pizza from Sals. The investment in the quality of ingredients are definitely there. There's no half stepping. You get nice full layers of sauce, cheese and toppings. Great little spot, my wife and I came while in town for Thanksgiving and were more than satisfied. The atmosphere was great, the $5 pizza combo was perfect and likely some of the best in Henderson. Pizza from a gas station!? Bad idea. Just don't do it. So...you are here on Yelp reading reviews and are wondering if you should roll the dice and order pizza from a gas station. Let me give you some advice: DON'T DO IT! The pizza here is overpriced and terrible, the staff is rude and unprofessional, and I have concerns about the cleanliness of the food prep. If you want nasty overpriced pizza, Sal's is your place. But you should consider going to Little Caesar's across the street for mediocre pizza at half the cost. Or better yet, go to any of the great pizzerias within 5 minutes of here that aren't in a run-down AMPM gas station. You're welcome. read more

My husband & I own a salon down the street from Sal's, we've been there for over 6 yrs. They used to have a guy go around to businesses in their delivery radius to leave menus. This guy popped in a couple times leaving the menu. After the 3rd time, we ordered, & have continued to do so for the last almost 6yrs. We ALWAYS get the pizza. Haven't tried anything else because we love the pizza that much. Our 1st delivery guy was great, a couple times he brought us a free side of ranch because "it's homemade & the best!" We agree, it's great! About 2 months ago, the delivery guy dropped our cup of ranch, I told him it was fine & he could get us next time. Guess what? He was back in less than 20 min with a new 1 AND got us the next time! As long as we're eating pizza at work, we'll be getting them from Sal's! read more
