This past Friday, I ordered a pizza. Just a regular cheese pizza. I was told 20 to 25 minutes. I arrived early and sat out front for ten minutes to wait till 20 minutes passed. I had a clear view of the pizza oven from where I was parked. I went in and figured I would be early but found out that one of the boxes on top of the oven was mine. The owner, took the slip out of the box and handed the box to the girl and said it was my pizza. That would mean that they made my pizza in 10 minutes...really? I live in Parkerford which is about 4 miles down the highway. When I got home, the pizza was warm, at best. When taking a slice from the box it was straight....know how the triangle part will bend down? Not this, straight as a board. This pizza was old. Someone probably didn't show up and the owner decided to capture their money from the first sucker. Funny thing is, we visit this place once a month but have found their quality going downhill. Thank heaven we have an air fryer to try to rejuvenate this lifeless piece of food (wanted to use a different word) but it only did so much. Bye Sal's....the old owner a while back was great. I ordered a Turkey wrap with cheese for pick-up. I got home and opened up my order to find a Turkey club, no cheese. I called and received no apology, rather "we heard Turkey club." In my mind, I'm like okay well what about the cheese? Anyways, it's raining and I'm pregnant and I'm like can you deliver a wrap, I'm not far away. "No, bring the Turkey club back here and we'll make you a wrap." That's a NO for me. Seems like a theme in their reviews- young untrained employees taking orders and managers not taking responsibility for the mess up. read more

We were traveling from out of town and looking for some dinner. They were very nice and the taco pizza was delicious.

My boyfriend and I have ordered from here a couple times. They have a pretty good Stromboli. However I only have two stars because there is a woman there (I'm assuming she's a teen working there) that has a pretty big attitude problem. Every time I've talked to her to place an order, she's very short and gives off the impression like she has better things to do. I've been hung up on by her more than 4 times with no call back. So we started ordering from another pizza place Edit 8/28 We decided to try this place again because my mom wanted to try them. We order two entrees and a large pizza around 530 pm and the person told us 30 minutes for delivery. Around 630 we called and asked if our food was still coming because it had been an hour. They told us "it's on the way" we got our food around 650. Seriously? Don't tell us 30 minutes if it's gonna be nearly an hour and half. Then when we got our food, the pasta dish we ordered with Alfredo sauce had no sauce. It was oily and there was some parm cheese on top. It was terrible. The other entree was soggy and the pizza was bleh. Needless to say we really are done with this place now. read more

I stopped in while visiting friends. Tried two slice special. The staff was friendly and prompt. Ordered mine with pepperoni. It was ordered to go. Staff put it on a single thin paper plate inside a paper bag that was not big enough. Less than five minutes later I thought I better check. Sure enough the bottom of the bag was soaked with grease. Lucky I had a plastic bag to put under it to protect my car. This thing was soaked with grease floating on top. So if you need to lube an 18 wheeler stop here and buy some pizza. Years ago I was privileged to work for a gentleman who owned several pizza shops. While there is always the personal taste of the individual who will favor one sauce over another there is one clue to quality. GREASE. Grease means poorer quality ingredients. Cheese made with more hydrogenated oils or toppings with higher fat quantities means more grease. read more

Live right across the street from this place. I only ordered there because of that. But now I'm done. One owner in particular is very rude. Actually, most of the people there are rude. Are they trying to kill their place? The last straw was when they hung up on me over the phone. They said they couldn't hear me very well, and as I'm tying to find a better connection, two seconds into the call they hang up. I have to say, since I rarely order from somewhere different without checking online and reading reviews, I was a little nervous to try Sals since there wasn't too much info. Not many reviews, not a big fancy website, but since it is down the street from where I just moved I wanted to give it a chance. I'm SO glad I did. This is my new favorite pizza in this area, and my new go to for delivery! I can be a bit picky when it comes to pizza, but everything was great from the ordering to the delivery to the eating! I called in to place my order and was told "no less than 45 minutes" which was right on when they arrived! The food wasn't hot but pretty warm so I'm not complaining. I ordered a large cheese pizza and garlic bread, the pizza was cut all the way through, the cheese didn't slide off when I picked up a slice..... I give this place a 10! I would have said before today that this is a fairly average pizza joint. Not today. We're ordered one item. A calzone with a couple of vegetables. We ordered a medium, which turns out to be a gigantic calzone that could feed three people easily, and cost 22 bucks with the two veggies. The folks at the shop could not have known that the order was for someone who keeps kosher, and having cheese, couldn't have meat. They didn't need to know that, the order was for a veggie calzone. We picked it up and got it home. In addition to the broccoli, mushrooms and cheese, the thing was full of ham. We were embarrassed to have put this in front of a kosher observant guest in our home, and called the shop to try to make it right. The calzone maker asked if we had specifically asked them not to include any ham. We said we'd only asked for what we wanted included. They said too bad. They refused outright to admit a mistake and we were just stuck with it. Needless to say we will never return to Sal's. The ownership there must not care that we are surrounded by options for pizza in this town. read more

on Saturday night we ordered 2 pizzas. We waited for 2 hours and only received one pizza. My husband tipped the delivery guy cash and called to complain. The staff & Management were rude, insisted that we only ordered one pizza and refused to help us in anyway. Meanwhile I had hungry kids waiting for their dinner. Today he noticed that we were charged $28!!! For one pizza! This is insane!!!! He called, once again, to which the manager/owner said he would give him $5 back. My husband went to the store, got his money. Not long after he got home he received a call from the manager who told him that that $5 was theirs because they found the receipt and there was a $5 tip written on it. Watch out the owner will try and scam you. He is also very rude and cannot understand simple orders. When I went to pick up the food he seemed intoxicated and tried to give me 1.50 off the order when the order was already over the menu price by 12$ but there was no use arguing since he gave me a dollar and fifty cents off... The food was good but the guy who runs it is a cheat and a drunk. Would give 4 stars for food but the dishonesty just kills it. Never going back unfortunately. read more
