CAREFUL HERE I went in for a synthetic oil change, I had also asked them to check out my transmission fluid. I was told that the price to replace my transmission fluid was $340 which confused the hell out of me. Honda's flat charge for a transmission fluid replacement is 175. If you're going to come here be careful because they'll try to jip you guys out of more money. I also needed a new air filter since mine was super dirty, I told them to replace it since it was a super last minute thing. Another mechanic told me the price of the filter would be 40, I was confused and said 40????? Then he tells me oh no 20 bucks! Like I said be careful if you come here. read more

I had been overdue for an oil change as a high mileage driver for a couple weeks and getting anxious about it, as my daily appointments and family life can make it difficult to clear time to get basic stuff like this done sometimes. I pulled in for gas just as I was realizing I was not going to have time to get an oil change after work the other day, and spotted Sal's advertising a 15 minute oil change like a sign from God. They had me pull in immediately and all in all, took less than 25 minutes at the longest. I knew their advertised $29.95 was for 5 quarts of regular oil, and I knew I wanted 6 quarts of synthetic. They were very clear and upfront that synthetic would cost more and the extra quart was an extra charge. I think I spent $72. Average and fair price for my car. Yes, they do pull the "dirty air filter" upsell tactic like most places. But this is how they make a living and they were totally fine with my declining. Very friendly, and they put air in my tires while they changed the oil. I'll return if I'm in need of my change while I'm in the area again and I recommend them to locals. read more

First of all, they are supposed to open at 8:00 but didn't open until 8:20. Secondly, they charged me $60 when the sign says $25. And they used some cheap off brand oil.. Also, they tried to trick me into buying a new filter by showing me a fake dirty one that didn't even come from my car. Won't be going back there again. Oh, and as I was leaving, another customer comes in and asks how much for oil change and they tell him $30. Rip off. I'll just use my veterans discount at Valvoline! Same price for me. I was here several times during my lunch break to get a quick lube. I started to recognize that they're not consistent in their pricing. I had it done for $25,45,35.... the other day the guy was going to charge me $40, I questioned him and said that I paid lower price here before, THEN he changed his price to $32.... what the heck? I've a had a slow leak in my tire for a few months and can't afford a new tire, so i pull up to an air machine in front of the shop to refill and Sal let's me know the machine is broken and tells me to pull up and he'll fill them. I was so relieved. He ended up pulling 3 nails out of the tire and quickly patches them up. With life's stress and antsy kids in the back, Sal was like an Angel. I haven't had an issue since. Bad service. I had the compressor replaced in September of 2017 went back in February of 2018 same problem. Compressor was replaced I think. Went back in March same problem was told it was normal. Good man Before I say anything about cars, Sal is a standup dude. I had taken my car to get my AC fixed to another mechanic in Long Beach where I live, however, this dude didn't have a clue on what to do. I went there 5 times and wasted much precious time. Long story short I was disappointed and in need of a functioning AC. My coworker of 16 years recommended Sal and he did not disappoint. Within 15 minutes Sal detected the problem. It was the AC knob on my dashboard. Who would have known this except for an experienced and creative mechanic! He recommended I get the part on eBay which I did. That's when I knew Sal was straight up. I could have gotten the part and did it myself but I didn't. I took the vehicle back to Sal and he took care of biz. Cherry on top, I've had this windshield wiper fluid light turned on my control panel for a few months. The dealership told me it was a bad sensor and I didn't want to replace it because it's expensive. It's a worthless sensor in my opinion and I found the warning light bothersome. Sal disconnect the light and now it's off. I just have to make sure I have fluid in there which is okay. I'm extremely thankful to this man who is honest and fair. He looks at you in the eye when he talks to you and he's plain spoken. If this appeals to you, this is your mechanic. He's certainly my mechanic. read more

Went in for an oil change and a tire repair. Wanted $30 for a flat repair so I said no just the oil change. Opened my hood and said oh your oil filter will be $10 more. Needless to say I had no work done there and never will. This was on a Sunday and they had no work at all. I wonder why? read more
