Barbecue pork brisket with macaroni and cheese and garlic bread
Dawn S.

It's been a while since I have been here. They have an addition which is really nice the tables are beautifully made with a river of resin decorated going through it. Service was amazing from the greeter to our waitress Lynn. We came at the end of the night after I had just got done working a 12 hour shift. Food was served fast drinks were good and dessert was amazing and literally so affordable. Only downfall is they don't do to go orders! I would probably order lunch for pick up some days it's that good! But I will be back!

We went back a second time, my husband ordered baked fish and it was overcooked and dry. I ordered a Caesar salad and it was wilted and just horrible. The place was so loud and every time someone walked by our whole table shook. This place is pretty mediocre at best.

Grilled tenderloin steak tips with mash potatoes and sweet corn.

The food was great, I got the tenderloin steak tips. The mashed potatoes were delicious and veryl smooth. The sweet corn was tasty. The server could of been a little more attentive, but had a good attitude. Overall a good experience...

So. Effing. FANTASTIC! Everything!!

Once again, another stellar meal. Today Lindsay was our server and was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. She anticipated our needs before we could even ask, had perfect timing and was super sweet to my rambunctious little, crazy 6 year old. I could have learned a lot from her in my server days! I would have been in the weeds so fast with how many tables I saw her checking on! My husband had the chicken and waffles, I had the upside down chicken pot pie and my 6 year old had the Tater Keg appetizer as her meal. We also started off with wings and Buffalo Chicken Dip. I'm so glad this place is literally down the street and offers the same quality as any Boston or Worcester comfort-food restaurant...but with a local, family friendly price tag. I, legit, am going to turn into a chicken wing if I keep going there. I can't get enough of the maple wings! I never would have thought I'd like such an "odd" flavor. We had those and the garlic parm...best I've ever had (and I'm not even a fan of garlic Parmesan wings!) My hubby has now had chicken and waffles twice and was equally impressed both times. Service was on point. Food was phenomenal, as usual. Saloon 6 was CLEAN, busy, fast, and the epitome of "mom's cooking".... If Paula Deen was my mom, lol. It's a must stop. Or you can just keep driving and let us locals enjoy so we don't have to wait for a table...

I tried the carne asada and pollo tacos, which were okay, but I do think the food could use a little more seasoning. My friend's al pastor tacos, though, were amazing and easily the best thing at the table. I'd definitely order those next time. Overall it feels a little more like a bar with great food than a restaurant first, but it's a great place to hang out with friends. And I'd go back for some drinks and amazing atmosphere

However, I ordered the the enchiladas rancheras and I was not happy with the overall quality of the dish..... It lacked sauce, flavor, and most of the "love" that goes into a Mexican culinary creation. The actual dish was dry because there was not enough sauce and that's probably most of the problem.... Furthermore, the rice that was served with it was absolutely flavorless tasted like instant Uncle Ben's rice out of the box and nothing added to it..... I feel like for $20. This should definitely be worked up a lot and I also feel like the rancheras sauce is not on par at all. I'm no expert Mexican food cook, but I do know that you want to have a nice Smoky red chili flavor in your ranchera sauce. I didn't get that at all from this dish. I will give Casa Laura another chance.... But I will probably order something different next time.

All shareable, and the presentation is top-notch. We had the Spicy Crab Tostada, Spicy Chicken Wontons, and the Mexican Street Corn "ribs." Each dish was prepared to perfection. The Spicy Crab Tostada, like the wontons, had a light and crispy texture. The Spicy Chicken Wontons were equally delightful. And the Mexican Street Corn "ribs" were a unique treat. They were prepared by quartering the corn cob lengthwise, tossing it in a special sauce, and serving it. The "ribs" effect was that you held the quartered cob pieces and ate the kernels as if you were holding the bones of ribs. Be prepared for a few wet naps after finishing these delicious bites! There are many more enticing dishes to try, and I can't wait for our next visit. As a tribute to the late, great Charlie Daniels (who always ended the musical season at the

On this cool spring visit, we sat inside at a corner table with a nice view of the lake. We ordered: Happy Hour Chicken Tacos ($8) Happy Hour Fish Tacos ($8) Fish & Chips Dinner ($21) Merlot ($9) Cabernet ($11) The tacos are normally $16 for three on the dinner menu, so getting four for that price during Happy Hour is a good deal. Results were mixed. Starting with the positive: the Fish Tacos were excellent. The haddock was perfectly cooked--crispy and flavorful--served in grilled flour tortillas with shredded iceberg lettuce, creamy slaw, pico de gallo, and chipotle lime aioli. Really well done! The Chicken Tacos, on the other hand, were disappointing. The chipotle-braised chicken, along with the toppings, made them feel dense and soggy. Not something I would order again. The Fish & Chips was the biggest letdown. The fried haddock was thin and dry, and the fries were limp and not hot enough. The coleslaw was very good, though. Honestly, if they used the same haddock from the fish tacos here, it would be a big upgrade. Service was good overall, though the dinners took a while to arrive. Bottom line: 3 stars. Still the best restaurant option on the lake, but there's plenty of room for improvement.

Firebrand's did and it was perfectly plump and crisp even from 8 miles away. The wings were large and juicy. The pickles were standard and the sauce was a bit sweet but ok. The wings were good but they charge for sauce which is disappointing but at least they were tasty. That's where the good review ends. Next up broccoli cheese soup. It was thin and curdled. Completely flavorless. Please don't bother I got a black and blue burger. It had dried apples and gorganzola. I asked for mid-well and this thing came out a black hockey puck. Totally in edible. The apple is breaded and fried and then a blue cheese sauce is on top which makes it completely soggy. Terrible. Husband got Cajun shrimp which was in a weird tomato sauce. The okra was so bad he spat it out. It could not even be chewed. Everything needed salt. Pass Diner 3 ordered a chicken sandwich with Nashville hot sauce. It tasted so bad he couldn't eat it. It also had cheese that was burnt under the grill. The fries were terrible. Maybe the grease needed to be changed? No thanks Diner 4 got the mushroom Swiss burger. The photo attached was his bun. He ordered it medium rare it was medium at best and was both dry and dripping with grease which is quite the feat. He choked down half but couldn't go on. Moving along The service was good but she definitely needed help. She was handling the bar and dining room herself so some things took a little time but she was kind and attentive. Having worked in restaurants my whole life I would have to say this place has potential but the cook defiantly needs some training on seasoning and attentiveness. The menu needs to be streamlined too. I would not go back and wouldn't tell anyone I knew to go. We've been home a couple hours and 3 out of 4 of us have stomachaches. There are better places.
