Trusting a salon to do my hair was difficult for me before I found this place. I had been trimming my own hair for about a year or two now and decided to get a professional cut. I called the morning of, made an appointment, and was in a chair within two hours (which was perfect). I was greeted by the receptionist and was looking around at the salon while waiting shortly, which is beautiful and full of customers that seem to be regulars. Brittney evaluated my hair type and I let her know the history of me doing my own trimming. She washed it, blow dried it straight and was able to correct and blend my hair. It was nice that she did not over cut and LISTENED to what I wanted. Now my hair is looking great and healthy. SO SO PLEASED with my overall experience . FIND KAREN PARK if you want your hair done right. She's only at the studio 3 days out of the week but you won't regret waiting for her, plus one of those days is a Saturday! I went from platinum blonde to brown then did a balayage in under a year so you can imagine how fried my hair is. My last hair dresser took a fine tooth comb and teased the ever loving crap out of my hair during the balayage so basically I had a head of weeds. I was ready to seriously go from mid-back length hair to lobbing it all off and Karen told me she could salvage it. I trusted her and she was absolutely METICULOUS in cutting my hair. She cut it wet then cut it again dry and proceeded to trim off all of the disgusting fried bits sticking out of my head that made me look like I'd been electrified. At one point I even asked her to go shorter because I was so frustrated with the garbage pile on my head and she assured me to wait and then decide if I wanted to cut again. I'm glad I did, I've got the perfect length hair, I feel brighter, and I've stopped pulling my hair out looking for loose strands. I recently got my hair done at salon technique and was completely blown away by the quality of the service I received! I initially booked my appointment via their online form and requested to work with their hair stylist, Doug O' Connell. After confirming the appointment, I received a text from Doug the very next day. He inquired about the current state of my hair and asked me to send him a few example photos of what I wanted. Upon arriving at the salon, I couldn't help but notice how clean the premises was. I was greeted by the super friendly front office staff and was offered a complimentary beverage. Shortly after, I was seated and Doug got started. He really took his time to truly understand what I wanted and was realistic about the state of my hair, which he went above and beyond with and exceeded my expectations. I ended up getting an all over color and cut. He was definitely a bit on the pricier side but given the results and service I received, it was worth it and I am looking forward to my next hair appointment with Doug! This review goes towards Doug. I've been seeing Doug for the last four years now and not once was I ever disappointed with his service. Doug specializes in coloring which was what I was drawn to in the first place. I have naturally dark-colored, pretty thin hair and I've heard that dark hair is always a challenge especially when you want to go many shades lighter. I always show him a photo of the hair color I'm aiming for just to make things easier. It's safe to say that Doug takes pride in the quality of products he uses to keep your hair at its healthiest without causing damage. He has always been very gentle with my hair; no rough brushing, no yanking/pulling of your hair. Everything he does is with care and you can see it. Not only does he do amazing coloring, his hair cuts and styling are excellent, too! This salon is modern and so cute. Parking can be tough because this salon sits at a busy intersection in DTF, so plan accordingly! I came to this salon because of Doug. I had to get a new stylist since mine moved away. Trying a new stylist is so nerve wracking! I found him from IG and then read the reviews on him, and they did not disappoint!! If you're looking for a new stylist, Doug is a great choice! Doug made sure I felt comfortable with the style, color, and cut for my hair! He asked multiple questions to make sure we were on the same page. I came in with a old brunette balayage and he was able to bring my drabby hair and brought it back to life! i had to write this review. it has been bothering me. i hate my hair. it was not at all even close to an expectation. my hair stylist andi was about 30 minutes late for our hair appointment. 30 minutes!!! this is unbelievable and he has the audacity to charge a $50 deposit for first time hair appointments to clients via venmo/zelle. like if you are gonna charge me that, you better show up on time to it and deliver results worthy of a monetary non-refundable deposit. i stayed despite this occurring because i had already given him $50. the entire hair appt cost me $325!!!! it looks orange. it is awful. i was under the impression he was stripping hair to get the hair to a certain color for a BALAYAGE. all he did was bleach the crap out of my hair. just awful, dude. this is not a balayage! and you didn't even offer to compensate me for the fact you were late and my appt ran into another client's hair appt. he left me stranded at the hairdrying station during the hair appt once the dryer turned off a long while ago. i had to come to him to ask him whats going on???? lo and behold his other client is sitting there chatting it up. listen. dont waste my time. i pay you over a quarter of $1000 and i just expect some amount of standard. dont book people on top of other people. if you think you wont have enough time, be straight up. THE MANAGER MEGAN advised me that ANDI has a history of tardiness to his hair appointments. BEWARE WHEN BOOKING WITH HIM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. stay clear from this place. Update: still a 1 star. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Megan, this isn't a balayage. It looks like Andi was shadow rooting my entire hair. There is no balayage done. So even if the tone was "to be expected" for 1 session, he 1) didn't do a strand test and 2) after this session, he seemed confused when I asked "this isn't the end result right?" And then asked me what do I mean? What do you mean what do I MEAN? Also, in 1 session...you shouldn't leave a client's hair orange. I am sorry but the amount of stripping my hair has undergone is NOT remotely close to mine and his discussion. And Megan, he was NOT apologetic with his messages to me via Instagram. He tried to EXCUSE his tardiness and then had the audacity to say he was refunding me for the $50 deposit for his tardiness. The $50 deposit wasn't for tardiness or his apologies. I explained to him that the $50 was OVER PAYMENT. HE FORGOT THAT I PAID HIM $50 OF THE $325 ALREADY. SO ON FRIDAY HE WAS REQUESTING $325 FULLY AGAIN. I forgot all about the $50. I gave him $400 to await my change. He didn't even know arithmetic math to give me change. He just kept handing me off $5 and $10 bills. He short changed me of the $400. I told him his tip was $20. So the grand total was $325+ $20 tip = $345. I already gave him $50 Wednesday deposit and then $400 on Friday. This sums up to $450. The difference is what I got back in change on Friday which btw he couldn't even do SIMPLE ARITHMETIC MATH. And idk if he was playing games to get more money or what but don't hand him change if he's going to mismanage it. The $50 he returned to me was the overpayment. Because I gave him $25 tip (after the influx of money he was giving me back and forth and I just wanted to get out of there after being there for 6 bloody hours!!!!), so $25 +50 deposit +325 = he got a $75 tip (a 20% tip) when that was NOT what I was trying to give him. He sure as HECK is not worth 20% tip!!!!! Save your face or I'll start uploading the convo he had with me where he was passive-aggressively trying to clap back at me when he doesn't know math. And if his sorry for tardiness is $50, he actually owes me another $50 currently. The first 50 was overpayment but if he wants to give me another 50, he knows my zelle. read more

The confidence in her vision really made me feel safe! I have had too many haircut horror stories that salons make me nervous. But Karen really listens! It was my first time coming here and was so excited to have Doug do it's magic with my hair! My hair was very dry, has a lot of split ends and needing a even color from multiple hair color treatments. Doug didn't disappoint! He did an amazing job. I love what he did to my hair and the shade that I told him I wanted. He also cut my hair from the yucky split ends that I had for a while. Came out being perfect! I walked in for a men's cut and it was the worst haircuts that I've ever gotten in my life. I went in for a TRIM on my long hair that I've been growing out for well over a year (almost below my shoulder). It's the longest that my hair has been in over 10 years and I was super happy with it but I needed a trim for my wedding day. Just wanted to get it cleaned up, get my side burns trimmed. I also mentioned that I have issues with frizziness so my stylist Copper decided it was best to texturize my hair also started doing this weird thing where he was twisting my hair with this pick thing then put me under a dryer bowl which gave me a terrible looking perm which he claimed gave me volume. Weirdest experience ever. My hair also looked terrible for my wedding which sucked as well. Long story short. My once long hair that I was really happy with looks uneven, limp, thin, and complete garbage and I'm forced to cut it all off now. Copper was a nice person but he did a really bad job and now all the time I put into growing my hair has gone down the toilet and I need to cut it all off. Worst haircut ever and worst experience ever. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

My first trip was not a great experience with the stylist bad mouthing her coworkers and telling me she didn't know how to style my hair. The second trip was fine, but my stylist kept talking to her friend the whole time. My most recent trip, though, was with Jennifer! She's the one the 5 stars is for! Doug is the best! I've been going to him for almost 5 years now and he's the only one I trust with my hair. He did my first balayage and I've been going to him ever since. He does amazing work and I always get compliments on my hair every time! I can be sometimes be indecisive on my color, so I like that Doug is always willing to help me out and makes it happen just the way I want it. A few months ago, I went to get my hair done and thought I wanted to go lighter than usual. Doug did a beautiful job but I ended up deciding to go a little darker than asked. I called around 4:30 to see if they had a walk in available, and they absolutely did! They asked if it was for a Men's cut, and I politely informed them I was non-binary and have longer hair. I could hear the stylist in the background say something to the effect of, "of course! My schedule is open until 7:30!" I was immediately put at ease of any anxiety by Andi, and I knew instantly I was in not only good hands, but safe ones as well. At first looking at Michelle's page, I was so excited to get my hair done with her because her work that she had done was beautiful. Then came time for me to go into the salon and as shown in the picture, I requested something more on the cool side. I did not receive anything like the picture. On the other hand, I did receive something that was more on the warm side and was not blended well. I voiced my concern at the chair saying that I did not see a big difference within my hair, but she claimed that it was lighting. I did not get to see my hair well enough because she took me outside to take pictures and as soon as I leave, and she sent them to me, I noticed that the back of my head at the very top. It was not blended well enough, and you can see where it begins. I was very disappointed that later on I did choose to text her and the salon account. as for the salon account, it did take me a while to get a hold of them. I asked for a partial refund because what I received was nothing compared to what I asked for. For something that was well over $200 I expected something closer to what I asked for if not to at least be the told the truth that I wasn't going to get anywhere near the picture so I could've picked something on the warmer side that I wanted and more importantly at least be aware! I was offered the same hairstylist to fix my hair but that is not what i wanted. As a paying customer i would expected for this to be an easy accommodation but it didn't make sense to me to go back to the same hair stylist that did not deliver what i asked for. read more
