I used to get my hair Japanese Magic Straight in Garden Grove years ago but the lady retired. I decided to Yelp some places to do the Japanese Magic Straight again and found this spot in Fullerton. I came here on a Thursday at 3pm. The process takes about 4 hours. Min Lee did such a good job. It was a similar process to how I did it at the other place but Min Lee made sure to straight iron every strand of hair. She was very intricate and took her time on my hair which I appreciated very much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was such a nice and sweet person. She was afraid I was hungry and offered me drinks and string cheese.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The outcome of my hair was so shiny, silky, smooth and straight. I recommend you coming here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I first asked how long the process is for a Japanese straightening treatment here on Yelp and Min answered almost immediately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called her to make an appointment and she also answered right away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was her first appointment for that day and she didnt just "jumped" into the treatment right away. She assessed my hair first and asked me multiple times to reassure that I wanted straight hair (since she liked my light curls/waves hehe). She definitely knows what she's doing and is very knowledgeable. After the treatment, she noticed my hair was uneven and notified me that I needed a cut in which I agreed to. Days after the treatment, I absolutely love my hair!! I don't have to blow dry it, just air dry and it's completely straight! I am super happy!! thank you min!! read more

I'm embarrassed to say I have not gone into a hair salon since pre-pandemic. I thought I was being smart by cutting my own hair to save money. That's until the last time I chopped my hair off, it was left uneven no matter how hard I tried to fix it. I guess it didn't help that I have very thick hair, with a mind of its own. After casually searching for a salon for months (that felt like years), I finally got introduced to this place through my Mom, who found out through some of her church fam. It appears they have been regulars at this salon for years. We came in at 12:30pm today (with an appointment) and was seated right away which was nice! I've been to many salons where I would wait despite making an appointment. There were two ladies running the salon and I'm allllmost sure the lady we got referred to is the owner of the salon (I wish I got her name, I'll def get it next time). She was so kind and knew exactly how to get my crazy hair back in line. While she was working her magic on my hair, she freely gave tips on how to blow dry/comb my hair which I appreciated so much! I am so satisfied with this place and thrilled to put an end to my pandemic haircuts. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I discovered this salon thru my esthetician Esther Choi who has a space there. Esther is great and so sweet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have been coming to her for almost a year. She does micro needling which has been great for my skin . She has done my eyebrow tattoo which has been a great investment especially for someone like me that has thin eyebrows. I wanted to get a straightening treatment to tame my crazy Simba mane lol I have course, frizzy hair lol Min washed my hair and determined that I couldn't do the treatment because I still had old bleach in my hair. So instead of the treatment, we decided to do a haircut to help with the shape. My hair was longer on one side and needed to be evened out. DON'T GO HERE!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went there yesterday 1/21/25 off the bat Min Lee tried upselling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told her I wanted a simple cut, 4 fingers off the bottom and some layers. That cost $45. My hair was wavey from sleeping in a bonnet and she didn't wet my hair at all and just started cutting dry hair. I could tell it was uneven but thought just trust the process. I should have stopped her immediately. Right after the cut the said she's going to make it wavey. Didn't show me how it looked, didn't show me the layers, nothing and she full on curled my hair. Next day washed it and you can see how uneven it is. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So don't waste your time if you're not a regular client.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For some reason I can't post the pictures I took but I'm not lying when I say it's uneven. read more

Easy, quick, clean, affordable, and a pretty good haircut. Min is also the sweetest lady ever. Compared to all the overprice haircuts in the area, the Hair Force is honestly the best bang for your buck. I always get the haircut I want. Parking is always available and there are good food shops around if you want to grab a bite after your haircut. read more

Great service and expertise! I took my son here for the first time to get a trim for back-to-school. I believe it was the owner that cut his hair, but she was not only fast, she cut it exactly how I had requested it. You could also tell she was very experienced with how she trimmed the edges of his hair and her use of scissors. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Hair Force! May the Force be with you! No, not Star Wars but Hair Force!. Like Luke Skywalker, Min Lee, cut my hair with her Jedi skills and did a great job. I called in last minute and Min Lee took me. I was with the 4 year old and she was very nice to her and treated her nicely. I received way more attention than I normally do and the little once said I looked younger and more handsome! Wow. That's what matters and sealed the deal for me really liking this little shop. Min Lee is all that and I am so happy I found this shop on yelp!. Very reasonable prices and really nice people here. Parking is super busy. I love that they gave so much attention to my hair and to the little one. Great Customer Service and a great haircut AND they squeazed me in for a last minute cut. I got a hair cut and a digital perm from Min for $150, with a $20 tip! [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was very sweet and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The haircut itself only took around 20-30 minutes, and the perm took around 3-4 hours. Overall, I really liked the end result. Also, she has a very cute dog that she brings in! If you're allergic, you might want to take note of that. read more

I got my hair done a few weeks ago, and this was my first time at Hair Force. My stylist Gina, used to work at another salon, but it closed permanently due to the pandemic. She texted me she now works at Hair Force and I was so delighted! The salon was clean and spaced out, and everyone adhered to the covid19 guidelines. I brought my own mask, but Gina gave me a disposable one. I have VERY thick, textured, wavy/curly Latina hair. I felt like a celebrity when all the stylists walked around saying how nice my hair is haha. Really boosted my ego. Anyways, Gina does a great job of taming my puff, and keeping my layers in check. I am trying to grow out my hair really long, and she understands that and does not over cut. I am so happy Gina is at Hair Force and hopefully the salon will be back to being allowed to do hair indoors soon. read more

3 stars because they took me As a walk-in so that's great the color was a box from Walmart when she already started dying my hair I asked to see what kind of product they used so I googled it and the box you can find it at any store for $13 dollars meaning their products aren't quality .. but I couldn't do anything anymore since she had already dyed my hair .. also they charged me $80 dollars . I received service from Min, who was phenomenal! Originally I went in to only get bangs but she went above and beyond by offering to wash, dry, cut and style my hair. I always get nervous with change but her work had me walk out very satisfied. Min isn't only a professional who knows what she's doing, but she is also very nice and accommodating/flexible. Getting to the salon wasn't too difficult, some street parking wasn't too difficult. The salon had a cute and modern vibe to it! I was instantly seated by Tammy and she got to work. They had an iPad at each station, which really made my experience here relaxing. I had a hard gel set on, and Tammy did mention how they'd have to start clean and remove this set. I was charged for removal, which I wasn't the greatest fan of. I asked Tammy for a classic nude, white ombré with a bit of glitter on top, and she delivered! This is probably the best set of ombré nails I've ever had done!!! I've had many nail techs say how ombré nails look better on longer nails, but Tammy made things work with the nail length I was comfortable with! I was a bit skeptical of the longevity since it wasn't the hard gel I'm used to, but this set legit lasted me over FOUR WEEKS (with the exception of one nail that had gel-ex on because of some previous nail damage)! If I were in the area more often, I'd go back to Buttercup in a heartbeat!!!! They are on the pricier side, but you'll be paying for quality IMO.

The owner herself personally worked on my hair, and the results were mind boggling. As an Asian male with mostly straight hair, I was tired of the constant upkeep. After she blow dried my hair, I realized I should have asked for more to be trimmed off. I felt so guilty, but she was so kind and immediately offered to trim more. I went in for a spiral perm with clear reference photos and left with a result that did not match what was discussed and was assured was possible. Within weeks, the curl continued to fall out, and at this point there is very little curl remaining--even with styling products; what a loss of $460! After multiple attempts to follow up with Pamela Coryell the owner and Piage their "perm specialists", I did not receive any timely responses from either. When Pamela did finally reply, my concerns were dismissed and the outcome was blamed on my "hair canvas", including claims that my ends were lightened and too porous. This is simply not accurate--my hair is NOT colored, and I have had previous spiral perms which held well 8+ months and have matched the spiral perm look requested. To be certain I was not off my rocker, I had another salon in evaluate my hair that very same week I got the perm, and they confirmed the perm did not properly take, did not reflect what was asked for and they said I should be refunded. What's most disappointing is the lack of accountability from Salon Technique. Instead of acknowledging that the service fell short, the responsibility was redirected onto me the client! I requested multiples times for a refund and was denied and the only offer sent back was that I could return and re-perm little ares here and there with no promise that they would take! UNBELIEVABLE - I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision. My experience says beware and do not go here. I expected professionalism and accountability, and unfortunately this salon does not hold to this level of professionalism. UPDATE 4/25/2026 JUST RECEIVED A SPIRAL PERM FROM Avy The Curly Girly at a different salon in Fullerton and I got EXACTLY what I asked for (see photo) and to boot... for way less! Dear Salon Owner Pamela and Paige it is NOT my "canvas" that's the issue!
