My natural hair is thick, wavy on the inside, half straight-half wavy on the outside, and it just wasn't working for me. The perm procedure took place (slightly different from the traditional, normal straight perm process since she did the neutralizer step while my hair was soaking wet dipped in their washbowl.) She also cut my wet hair while it was still soaking wet immediately after rinsing my hair post the breaking bonds step, instead of blow drying and flat ironing it (other places cuts ur hair while its dry). After she blow dried my hair after the final rinse, she charged me $270, different from the price she gave me at the start of the process saying "haircut itself is like +$30." I won't ever be returning due to this scammy malpractice *** update below: I told her that I prefer English but doesn't mean my Korean sucks which would cause miscommunication in the pricing. I was never communicated in either Korean or English that the price was an estimate, I was given a solid price no range or the word "about" was used during the call. I was never informed before the service that there would be extra steps in the service due to my hair condition - this should have been communicated before so I can decide whether or not I'd be able to pay the extra $20, instead of receiving upcharge price after all those additional "steps & curls" which I never asked for. The curls could have been done with a curling iron myself after the cut + perm, I never asked for permanent curls. I never had a single bad of this experience at any hair salon. I took him to a new stylist at Elle after Judy left and she butchered his hair so bad loll so I went on a mission to find her! I don't write reviews often, but hoping to help her build her clientele because she is so good. My DH is crazy picky about his hair and he has a hard time finding someone he likes. After finding Judy and going to her this year, he was so upset when Judy left Elle and the previous salon wouldn't say where, so I went deep diving the internet and found her! She cuts my 2yo boys hair soo well. She is also so sweet and great with babies. So patient and has a quick hand, so she doesn't make mistakes even when they move. Also my toddler remembered from the previous salon that they gave him a lollipop after his haircut was finished, but this one didn't have any so I told him they ran out. But the Judy was so nice and went back, and remembered some lollipops from her bag and gave him some!! he was overjoyed loll It's so hard to find a good place to take baby boys, and I'm so glad I found her again and will be her forever customer.
