I think that most of us have experienced asking for a cut exactly as it was cut the last time and take one inch off, and yet getting a different hair cut and/or not the right length. I did not wash my hair for three days to make sure the process took but once washed, you could not tell I had a Brazilian blow out. My hair was super frizzy and not stick straight like the one I received in Dallas. Danielle said that depending on how straight I wanted it she would increase the tension during the process. I have been going to Joy for almost a year now. I have always felt relaxed with Joy and the…read moreservice she provides. My biggest concern was that I was beginning to show hair loss. I noticed about a year ago that I seemed to be seeing more of my scalp on top. I discussed my concern with Joy and she was very upfront about the causes that could be causing it. Since she is a hair loss specialist, our next conversation was about what we could do to prevent more hair loss and try to get my hair to start growing back. Needless to say, I was open and very ready to get started. We are now about 2 months into treatment and yep I am seeing a difference. I have followed the steps that Joy set up, a special shampoo and another product that I massage onto my scalp, laser treatments 2 to 3 times a week. The owner Maggie and her assistant tried to fix my hair and only made it worse. I looked worse leaving the salon. I suspect her products were old and this is why my color did not take correctly. Maggie then charged me double the price saying it was my fault that my formula did not work. I paid the amount and then the next day called Maggie to discuss why she charged me double the price and she basically said no refunds and hung up on me. I reported this incident to corporate aveda. I have been going to aveda salons for 15 years and never had a bad experience until I went to this salon. I would not recommend this salon especially if you are a blonde!!
