Dora did my Brazilian blowout and did an amazing job. I've paid more at other salons where my hair did not stay as straight for as long. She was very nice and easy to get along with. I ended up coming back for a haircut and she did a great job of getting rid of my split ends too. read more

The WORST hair experience of my life! I was originally excited because Dora had such great reviews on yelp and she got me in the next day. Initially it was all good and she warned me that my hair might be over processed to get the color I wanted but she agreed to do the best she could for my hair. We agreed that it could be UP TO $300 which of course is a lot of money but I wanted to be quite blonde. After doing one bleach treatment (which wasn't done until 4 hours after the appointment started) she decided to start on another one instead of just toning it, leaving it be and having me come back (like any other stylist would) she decided to continue WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Once the second round of bleach was off she started CUTTING MY HAIR, Without even checking if it was okay with me. I DID NOT come it for a hair cut and would have preferred to go somewhere else to get it cut since I was already displeased with the color. As the pictures show my hair now is ORANGE and about THREE inches shorter than it was before. After 8 hours of sitting in the salon being judged by this woman she says that because of all of the "added treatments" and "the price of the bleach and other products" she would make me pay and ADDITIONAL $150 which she said was cheaper that it should have been. So now the total has been racked up to $450. I am a poor college student with little to no outside support, so naturally having someone add on another $150 to an already outrageous price of $300 for a job that she admitted looked "like a bad dye job" and tried to get me to come in the next day to pay another $50-$100 to fix, is quite upsetting. I wish I had never gone. My hair is orange, short, over processed and has the worst highlights I've ever had. DO NOT GO TO DORA. She saw an opportunity to scam a hardworking 18 year old and she did it. She wouldn't let me leave without paying the $450 and kept insisting it was a discounted price anyway. My hair is ruined thanks to her and I wish I had never gone. If I can even keep one person from going to her I will. THE WORST EXPERIENCE. read more

Absolutely my favorite salon! I get Brazilian blowouts done there all the time and my hair feels and looks amazing at the end. Dora is so kind and listens to what I want for my hair. She will also suggest options for me with what I am looking for in my hair. Salon Salon usually doesn't have a wait but like any salon it is always better to have an appointment. read more

Dora definitely gives it her all. If you're not satisfied with the work that she's performed, she will fight to make it right and looking good! She's been in this area for as long as I can remember and there's a good reason for that. She'll definitely be honest with you but that's what you want! Very knowledgeable. read more

I just discovered this salon, and I love it! Dora gave me the best haircut I have ever had. She was so kind and patient with me, as I was nervous about a new style. It turned out perfect! Dora always does a good job! Appreciated the appointment process incorporated due to COVID-19!

My husband was going to Dora for a couple years, before I walked in asking for her to fix my hair. He has very thick, wavy hair and most places couldn't give him a good cut, but Dora has never had a problem. When I went in for the first time, she sat down in the chair next to me and asked, "what don't you like about your hair?". -- Everything! The cut, the color, the way it falls and I just needed a miracle. She told me what she wanted to do with my hair because it is very thin, which no other hairstylist had ever taken into account. I trusted her enough to let her do what she wanted and have loved my hair for three years now! One of the best tributes I can say about Dora is that she has been doing this for many, many years, yet she continues to pay for training. She is always learning new styles, new techniques and about new products. There have been many times that I have walked into her shop and she is watching an instructional video trying to sharpen her skills, or she is learning something for a specific client. She is always learning and that is the reason I highly recommend her. Too many people go to cosmetology school and once they are licensed they stop wanting to learn. That is not Dora. She is crazy, but you want that in a hairdresser. Go to Dora, you will not be disappointed. Her rates are much more reasonable than most places that give terrible haircuts. read more

Dora is the greatest. She takes the time to know you as a person and takes very good care of her clients. She always does a perfect job on haircuts AND facials, and for a reasonable price. Salon Salon is something I would recommend to anyone. The Facials are perfect, the Haircuts are perfect, and Dora is fantastic. Please come here. read more

Dora did a great job cutting my hair. She really paid attention to detail. Thanks Dora!

Dora has been my stylist for six years now. She is the most knowledgeable stylist I have ever met. She takes time to listen carefully to what I want and makes suggestions that will improve the end result. She will honestly tell me if what I am saying I want done, just will not work with hair. I have not once been unsatisfied with the final product. Dora truly is an artist. She loves what she does and it shows. She has many years of experience under her belt (or blow-dryer) and she is always going to shows and events to keep up on the latest products and trends. It's always better to call ahead but Dora will take walk-ins whenever she can. Besides a full range of styling and coloring services, Dora also offers waxing, facials, microderm abrasion and permanent makeup. I have referred many of my friends and family to Dora and am confident in referring you too! read more

Would you return to a stylist who: Kept you waiting for over an hour? While washing your hair, soaked your clothes so badly they had to go into the dryer there? While you were still in her chair said oh I should have cut more off the crown. That's ok I will fix it NEXT time? The whole time trying to sell you on her facial products? Me either. The other people in the salon all had straight blunt cuts. She does those well. If you have waves, want layers etc forget about it. One of the worst hair cuts I have had in years. read more

I've been getting haircuts with Dora for years. She always gets me in the same day I call and gives me a great cut that works with my hair type. Her prices are very reasonable. There are very few small salons around anymore where the owner cuts your hair. What a gem! I'm new to the area and I was feeling very desperate for a Brazilian Blowout. I found a review on Dora @ Salon Salon and decided to give her a call. She got me in the next day. She also talked me into doing something a little different with my hair and I couldn't be happier! My hair feels great and I love the new cut and look. Dora is a lot of fun too. She clearly loves her job and enjoys her clients. You're not going to go in and get served a glass of champagne, but you will enjoy your time there and leave feeling amazing, or at least I did. She treats her clients like family. She's got my business as long as I'm within 100 miles of her! My hair will never be the same. Thanks Dora! read more

Got my haircut by Dora today. She was very honest and straightforward which I appreciated. She is great at helping you find a cut that fits you face shape. I went in wanting to cut my hair shorter and after she pointed out a few things to me she made me realize that this would make me look less soft. I let Dora do her thing and my cut came out great! Not only did she help me find a cut that's right for the shape of my face she also taught me what she was doing and why along the way. She also wanted to ensure before I left that I was comfortable with it and knew exactly how to recreate the look right down to product application. I've never had a stylist take so much time out to explain every little thing they were doing and why and let me take the time to try it myself. Thanks so much Dora! I will be back! read more

Dora is amazing! I called and she was able to take me right away today. Not only is it one of the best haircuts I have ever had, she went above and beyond to teach me exactly what she was doing and tell me what I should and shouldn't use on my hair. Absolutely love this place! My haircut was only 40 dollars and it is by far one of the best I've had! Dora is amazing! Go go go here!

Can always count on Dora to do a great job! Been coming here for many years. Great service.

Dora is high energy and takes pride in her profession. I travel to Salon Salon from the Kingsland area because Dora is a fabulous hair professional. I like a lightly layered cut and she gives me exactly what I want. However, if you I want a style that will not work for you, she has no qualms telling you and instead suggest something that will work. I appreciate Dora"s vision and abilities and trust her opinion and ideas for my hair. She squeezed me in one busy day and while there, I happily waited and watched her do her magic on her regularly booked customers. There is one woman who appeared nearly bald after her shampoo and when Dora was finished, the woman's hair looked full and perfectly styled. At Salon Salon, you get an excellent haircut at a very reasonable price by a fun woman who loves her work. read more

Nora asked me how I selected her salon for my Brazilian blowout, so I told her I saw several references to her having an October special, and it's kind of expensive so I picked her. She proceeded to tell me about customers who get mad when they are charged for things they did not specifically ask her to do, like haircuts. And when I said no to a haircut because I just had one last week she kept talking about why I needed it. She didn't cut my hair though, and when it came time to check out not only did she not give me any special price, she charged me $250 when she had just charged the person before me that also had a Brazilian blowout only $165. She took some shortcuts and no one can even tell I had this hair treatment. Go back? No way!!! She must have felt she went too far because after trying to charge me about $50 for the hair mask that I then put back she gave it to me for free although she said she never does that... When I got home I looked at the bad reviews and they described my experience perfectly... from now on I'll read what the low reviews have to say too, because had I read those I would never have selected her. read more

I have been going to Dora for several years. My whole family and some out of town friends are now loyal clients as well. I routinely get cuts and highlights and Dora's have been the longest lasting (and received the most compliments) and best looking. She also is an amazing aesthetician and I now get facials, peels and very effective skin care products. I'd recommend Dora at Salon Salon to anyone, man or woman, looking for a new hairdresser. read more
