I never leave reviews, but Laurel from Salon Moselle did an amazing job rescuing my hair. I came in with an "ombré" monstrosity that I had done at an expensive salon in San Francisco in November (another story entirely) and was too busy to have fixed before the holidays. Laurel greeted me with kindness and listened to my concerns. I have very fine/thin naturally dark brown hair and wanted to go fully blonde, so she assessed that partial highlights would be the way to go. She used "babylights" to make it look more natural and avoid a striped look. I don't know if I'm the only person who cares about this, but as a non-chatty person, I finally found a stylist that focuses on her work (she's fast!) and not chat me up/interrogate me the *entire* session. We still had fun casual conversation, but it didn't feel forced. After all was said and done, I had an amazing head of hair for an extremely reasonable price. I live in SF, but I'll be swinging through this salon while visiting my family in Temecula whenever possible. Highly recommend. read more

I was so excited to come back to see my stylist after months without a cut and color but then I see that this this salon isn't following ANY of the health and safety regulations to prevent the spread of COVID. No masks, no social distancing, no temperature screening, no limit on the number of people in the salon. I've been coming here for years and I really wanted to get my hair done but I will not risk the health of myself or others and frankly I don't want to patronize this salon any more because they obviously don't care about putting their clients and staff at risk. The first appointment my stylist, Laurel (who is absolutely fantastic) explained how we could get the color out and basically start from my natural hair color. Well, when I left two weeks ago I couldn't believe what she had amazingly done!! This happened in two appointments I have a photo of my hair before, after one appointment, and then after my most recent. Had my hair done by laurel on wed... always apprehensive when doing my hair. It takes so long for me to grow it. I had an old bayalage (?) and liked it. About 2 yrs old. I just kept doing my own roots (did I mention I kept doing them?) any way I thought it was time for a pro. I did great! I told laurel i still liked my hair color (the bottom 2/3 that is) and if she can fix it. "Of course!" She said. And she did. She did her magic and it looks great again. I don't know how they have so many stars! The atmosphere was a little cold and I felt relieved that my stylist came to rescue me. I had a Groupon. She up sold me because I needed a full highlight/lowlight. I ended up paying the full price for everything. Corinn's haircut was ok - what you would expect at supercuts. My roots didn't take the color. She said we would get it next time. Called last week to book the appointment and take care of my color problem, she said she knows what to do now and the charge would be $135. I said I didn't think that was right and she said that is what it will cost. Corinn looks sweet. She is kind & friendly. You get a hug when you leave. So I was stupid & got taken. This establishment is very unprofessional. They cancelled my wife's appointment only hours before the scheduled appointment and they would not accommodate her at all for that day. She scheduled her day around this already and has taken a half day off from work. We had to rush and look for another salon because we had an event the next day. These girls need to learn more regarding work ethics and customer service. I'm writing about the nail side of the salon, so I can't say anything about the hair stylists. My mom and I went in yesterday for the mani/pedi Groupon deal. If you think you're getting a deal, you're not. The lady was TERRIBLE. First of all, the Groupon is for two people to get mani/pedis, but there is only one nail lady, so the whole experience takes two hours for the two of you. Second, you get what you pay for. This young girl was lazy, unfriendly, and unprofessional. She started on my mom's fingers while my feet soaked in cold water for 20 minutes or so. I'm not sure she sterilized the tools in between uses. She never asked if we wanted our nails cut, how we wanted them shaped, or anything. She rubbed in a little lotion, but no massage. She did even get the dirt up from under our nails. If I just wanted my nails painted, I could have done that at home. If she's trying to build a client base, she's failing miserably. Anyway, save your money, go to the Asian salons where they do a good job. We left a $6 tip (half as much as we had originally planned to), and if it was me there alone or having paid full price, my tip would have been ZERO. read more

Ok this is from a guys point of view but I still think the ladies will find it useful. The shop was super easy to find. Parking is fine if you don't mind walking a little. As soon as you walk in you notice the clean modern design. The bar style waiting area is clever and very welcoming. The product lines are super profesional and well displayed. The shop is open and well lit adding to the overal comfort. Staff was super accommodating. I called same day as my appointment and they managed to get me in. I was welcomed as soon as I walked through the door and my appointment confirmed quickly. My stylist was Katie Johnson. She greeted me quickly and made me feel very welcome as a first time guest. Once seated she took time to get to know my hair, haha. I was super impressed. She studied the way my hair naturally fell and then suggested a style that would compliment the natural movement. The rest of my experience was relaxing and super enjoyable. Update: today I had an appointment with Katie but she called in sick the morning of. To my delight they didn't cancel my appointment but rather found someone to fill in. Not only did they find someone to fill in but gave me the best they had. I had Casey Carlos and she did an amazing job. Amazing customer service and mad skills. Had to book my next cut before I left. I would recommend her to everyone. read more

I love this salon! But most notably my hair artist Corinn. This salon was my first and only needed attempt to finding a great new salon after moving from the mountains. Because I used to live in the boonies I would invest in driving hours away to LA just so that I could guarantee favorable results from someone I knew, but I am happy to say that will not be needed! The salon itself is in a great location, I love that I can get my hair done and go browse the farmer's market after. They offer great perks like coffee, wine, or just water while you relax. All staff I've spoken with are personable and have great customer service. Plus I have never had an issue getting a parking spot directly in front of the store! Rare for old town. My stylist Corinn does a great job with my hair and it is no easy task! I have long, dark brown, very thick and wavy hair. It curls easily and straightens easily. In the past people have usually wanted to "lighten" up my hair by layering it to a disaster level I've come to call the "shingle effect". Do not fear, Corinn will not do that to you! In fact she listens very well to exactly what you want, be it some subtle side bangs, more volume on top, getting rid of the split ends, anything! In fact I went to her for a nice trim prior to a fitness competition I had. I wanted my hair nice and healthy looking for the stage, and it was! Also, she gives great scalp massage, if it went any longer I would be out cold. Everytime I have left this salon I get compliments on my hair no matter where I go. At least three the day of, two the day after, and onward. My hair always looks so healthy when I leave, and smells wonderful; Really love the products she uses. Salon Moselle - Competition Day, and had my hair recently trimmed up by Corinn! - Hair Salons Near Me - Temecula, California

I went in for a mani-pedi Groupon offer, and couldn't leave quickly enough. The first indication this wasn't going to be a satisfying experience should have been the dirty and stained towel the young lady was using on the manicure table/cart. Also, her complete disinterest and apparent lack of enthusiasm for her work remained palpable from the moment I sat down. Speaking on skill and experience, both were grossly lacking. For example, I've always had professional manicurists create a little pool of polish at the base of the nail, near the cuticle, then proceed up the nail with precise, flowing, relatively slow, full strokes. The lady here seriously applied polish like a person just learning how to do their own nails, quickly and randomly. I've certainly never had a professional spend more time using another brush and acetone to go back and correct their inadequate polish job, on each and every nail. There was no massage during the manicure, nor cuticle oil used. The massage during the pedicure was minimal, and on one notable occasion, she paused, as if trying to remember what came next. At this point, I actually glanced around to see if I could spot her license on display. I could not. The final straw was her use of a "top coat" I can get at Walmart for probably about $4 or $5!!! Remember the top coat you used when you were 12 and did your own nails? That's the one. She also failed to use any tissue or cotton to create a space between my toes for polishing. I nearly asked her to do so, but by this time, I really just wanted to leave and be done with the whole experience. The only real bright point was the guy at the front desk, who was very welcoming and offered me a beverage upon arrival. The salon could use a bit of maintenance in terms of cleanliness of the walls, baseboards, and could use a good dusting. The area where you get your nails done is in the back, where stylists and patrons are going back and forth to the bathroom, and where the service area is located. They have curtains installed that were obviously meant to provide a little privacy while having your manicure/pedicure, but they remained pulled back, so you're treated to the comings and goings of busy stylists and full-bladdered patrons. The bottom line is, even having paid a Groupon rate, I felt ripped off. Mostly by the salon, which obviously thought it acceptable to allow someone so deficient in skill and professionalism to work with paying clients. read more

I have had my hair cut at this salon 4 times by the same stylist. She is wonderful and I would follow her anywhere. The professionalism in the Salon itself is severely lacking. People are very unfriendly and the salon was recommended by my daughter because her friends mother owns the place. My stylist was cut to 1 day per week and it happens to be Tuesday. I had an appt. today and it was confirmed by Brittany last evening in a phone message. I took two hours of vacation time to attend the appt. and no Sunny. I was told that she didn't come in today. No one called me or notified me that she wasn't coming in. I was told that I wasn't on the schedule by the person who made the appt. No real apology, just do you want to reschedule. I wish I could post a picture, but it's too embarrassing! When I first walked in, I was ignored. Then, when finally someone acknowledged me and saw that it was a Groupon (a gift from someone), she looked at me as though I had the plague! My stylist (Laurel) didn't talk a lot, which is fine, but I only asked for two things: blonde highlights and volume! I literally came out of that salon looking like a 12 year-old boy! BROWN hair- all one color that was parted on the side and flat as a pancake. I know stylists may take a loss on a groupon, and even though I was unhappy, I tipped very generously. I just moved to Temecula from Orange County and I was trying to find a new Salon to just get a bang trim. I chose Salon Moselle because they had great yelp reviews and they could take me right away. When I spoke to the receptionist over the phone, she told me that I would be with Christine, the owner of the salon. I was immediately stoked because I assumed that the owner would take good care of me. On the day of the appointment, I was 5 minutes early. A lady behind the counter greeted me and told me that Christine would be back soon. I waited 15 minutes after my appointment time, and Christine finally comes in with a basket of fries stuffing her mouth as if there is not a care in the world. She quickly looks at me and 2 other clients that have appointments with her, yes, we were all there waiting for her to get back from her french fry break. My appointment finally starts, she never apologized or seemed embarrassed before the consultation. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. Reminder, this was only a trim and not a full on styling. She ended up layering my bangs so that some hairs were shorter than the other and then styled them with a old, dried up wax. I kid you not, I ended up looking like Winnona Ryder in "Beetlejuice". She charged me $10 which was not bad but not good for a disappointing haircut. As soon as I get in to my car. I see all these white balls of wax in my hair. She put so much wax, my bangs looked like I had dandruff and was super greasy. I had to go out after that, I was so embarraseed. I tried to pull out as much wax as i could out of my hair! I will never go back because of the unprofessionalism and lack of pride she has for her own business. Two stars for the cute interior design and for carrying "Moroccan Oil" products. read more

High End Salon, High Expectations! (not met) I was getting myself ready for the Holidays and needed a perm. I decided to go to an upscale salon and get a really good perm. The perm would cost me over $100 with tip but it would be worth it if I had the perm of my dreams. My appointment was with the 'owner,' Christine, (very promising, right?) but nothing could have been further from the truth. (a) I gave her a photo of me with the look I wanted but instead I got a perm that was almost without any curl at all and absolutely straight in the back. (b) She told me she could put a toner on my hair to cover the gray and it did nothing. (c) She gave me a haircut and scalped me! Lesson learned $200 later: paying more money does not necessarily mean better quality. read more

I got an appointment for a week after I called, which I think is a pretty good turnaround when requesting a particular stylist. I was early and she was ready. Love that! I also loved that I only had a vague idea of what I wanted and she listened to what I liked and some past hair experiences and whipped up some perfect colors. After the color was done, she styled it and gave me some realistic tips for doing it at home. ( I can never seem to replicate the work from a stylist) Lastly she gave me some advice for keeping the color vibrant. I really appreciated the look and the information. We had mani/pedis by Heather...super sweet and chill...we were both very happy with the atmosphere of the salon....staff was super friendly and professional. More importantly, we were very pleased with our manicures AND pedicures. They only have one spa pedicure and one manicure table, so having concurrent services a little bit of a problem..but Heather managed to keep us entertained and staggered the steps of our services beautifully. I was desperately in need of a haircut so I checked out Groupon for a good local deal. I found one at Salon Moselle - $35 for a cut and deep conditioning. I called and they were able to get me in for a same day appointment with Jackie. Upon arriving, Jackie was very friendly and took me right to her chair. I showed her the picture of what I was hoping for and we began the conditioning treatment. It was really just some conditioner that she put in after the shampoo that she let sit for a few minutes. No biggie. Jackie did a great job with my cut. It was a new style for me and she would be cutting some new bangs. She was friendly and worked quickly but carefully. Salon Moselle is wonderful! I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago after purchasing a Mano-Pedi deal on Groupon! The salon itself is clean- neat and well styled. There are several chairs designated for the hair stylists with the little nail section tucked away in the back! They only have one station for a manicure and one pedicure chair but it made the experience feel very cozy. Becca is the nail specialist and she did a wonderful job! I upgraded to gel polish for a bit more and they lasted a good week and a half before chipping. While I don't get my nails done often, next time I do will will go back to Becca! read more

My girlfriend and I went in for a couples mani-pedi for her birthday and she loved it! Scheduling an appointment was simple and from start to finish, everyone was really chill and friendly. We went with Becca and she took REALLY good care of us. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect, but everything was really nice and we even had complimentary drinks! Becca did a great job and you could really tell that she puts in sincere effort! She made the whole thing fun and neither one of us felt awkward at all. Throughout the rest of the day, my gf kept saying how wonderful her nails were (hands and toes) and how she wants to go again at least every other week and even bring the rest of the gals! Never thought I would luck out on finding a great stylist close to home because I was loyal to my old stylist. Corinn is great to work with, has taken me through a number of transitions in style, can make my curly hair straight or a style where I can embrace the curl. She is also bright and fun to talk with and I truly appreciate her. Biggest plus, I trust her! I used Yelp this morning to reference a place for a color and cut since I am new to the area (from SFO). I had an appointment at 3:30 and checked in about 3:20. At 3:48 I asked the receptionist how much longer and after asking the stylist, I was told another 10 minutes. After more than 10 minutes and after asking again, I was told, "I guess it was more than 10". My issue is not that I did not get any service, but it made me wonder how often this must happen? Note to new prosective clients, this could be you! My husband and I have been coming here now a few month. We both had HORRIBLE experiences with Acapella Hair salon in Temecula and came to the owner Christine for help to fix our bad hair. Christine has done wonders for my husbands hair and he once again has amazing hair. He gets daily compliments that he looks like Gerald Butler with his new and improved look thanks to Christine. As for me she has been my miracle worker. Being 40 and having the most resilient greys she has worked with my color to give me the confidence and beautiful hair I love to have.
