Cute spot in old town Murrieta! Best Brazilian wax I have ever gotten, and I have had a handful of them from nails salons never again...Christy made me feel comfortable, is professional, easy to talk to and gets the job done with no hassles!! I am so happy that I found the Wax Shack and I will definitely be coming back and recommending to anyone who is looking for a good wax!! She has all the different kinds of wax and really cares about how the client's skin will react and their pain level. Just got a bikini and underarm wax done by Chrissy in 30 mins! Though it probably would've been quicker if I hadn't initiated a plant discussion lol. Everything about her place makes you feel relaxed, from the cute decor to the beautiful greenery. She makes you feel very comfortable and does a great but quick job. I called to see if they do brows. The Ms. answered the phone gave me the woman (Bianca) that does them. I made an appointment with her later in the afternoon. A few things to have in perspective. My girls and I have gone to different salons to get our brows done. Different places gave different results. However, the charge of the majority was between $10-15. Ms. Bianca had my daughter sit on her chair to work on her brows. She "mapped it out", something she said she likes to do, waxed them and then tweezed out some hairs. The only thing different from every salon was her mapping it out. Her charge for doing brows was $22. Thats an amount for brows I've never encountered. I didn't complain or question the amount at all. Everyone needs to make their money and I respect the charge. I should've asked what she charged before making an appointment. So, that would be my fault on my end. Bianca was really nice and pleasant. She was great with carrying on a conversation with my daughter. She made her feel comfortable for the duration she was on her chair. I thank her for that! read more

Chrissy is AWESOME. I was super nervous about getting a Brazilian wax done. I have been searching for a place close to home and came across the wax shack thanks to fellow yelpers. Chrissy is the shit! I've gotten 2 Brazilians and my legs done and I will never go back to shaving. Chrissy is professional and super cool. Ahh-ma-zing!! If this is your first for 100th wax Chrissy at the wax shack is beyond amazing! I've been waxed before and she's the best! I can't recommend her enough. Great experience, super cute, clean building/room. She's so sweet and talks to you through the whole thing so time flys and you're distracted. She gets it done fast but carefully. I was nervous thinking it would be excruciating but I was surprised (don't get me wrong there were a few ouch moments) but she eased my mind and kept me talking the whole time. Chrissy is AMAZING! I have not had a wax this smooth or this beautiful in a very,very long time. I literally just keep looking at how freaking gorgeous down there is. She listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. Also my hair is course and dark so I always know a good waxer when there isn't a 5 oclock shadow remaining afterwards. Her salon is super cute, clean and she was friendly and kind to boot. Chrissy did an excellent job! I have to say I was PETRIFIED of my first Brazilian, full legs, and armpits... All for my first time ever body waxing, especially as I have VERY corse, thick, curly hair. Scared as in I literally couldn't sleep the night before and when I did fall asleep I dreamt about asking friends about waxing experiences... For real though haha... But to my surprise it was manageable, it hurt yes, of course, you are having hair ripped out hello, but Chrissy kept the conversation going and distracted me as best she could. My armpits were surprisingly the most painful but then again everyone is different. What pleased me the most was I am not red or in pain anywhere at all!! I assumed I would be needing a cold bath or something but she said my skin did very well, again I'm sure everyone is different. She was very friendly and professional during the entire session, and while she did take calls during the session, I felt it was to genuinely to maintain quality service and communication with all other clients and it didn't bother me at all. That being said if you are a snob that would be offended perhaps spare her a bad review and just go to some uncomfortable hospital feeling salon were you can overpay for inferior comfort and less personal service. If you are genuine person who wants a comfortable homelike atmosphere where you feel like your professional close friend is waxing you and not a stranger go to Chrissy. She's good and while her shop is home like in feel it had all the aspects of professional studio, sanitation, equipment etc... Oh and did I mention she didn't make me feel awkward for being crazy hairy and very tall (aka I took longer than most). She totally played it off but I knew it was quite a process.
