I never leave reviews, but I had to for Kelsey. My hair had been through a lot: old highlights, past color correction, color buildup, banding, and so many different shades throughout. I had been turned away before, and I had also gone to stylists who took me on but clearly did not really know how to handle color correction. So I was nervous to trust someone again. Kelsey was completely different from the beginning. Even before my appointment, she asked for photos, looked at my inspo, explained what would be realistic, gave me a clear estimate, and actually walked me through the plan. She was honest but never made me feel discouraged or like my hair was too much work. During the appointment, she knew exactly what she was doing. She did a color remover, high-lift color, toner, and haircut with no bleach, and got me so close to what I wanted, honestly even better. She also fixed my layers, and I didn't realize how much they needed help until she did them. Her mom was there too and was so sweet. The whole appointment had such good energy, and they made me feel really comfortable. My mom loved my hair so much that Kelsey ended up doing hers too the same day, even after everything she had already done for me. If you've had bad hair experiences, been turned away, or are nervous about color correction, go to Kelsey. She is talented, honest, patient, and really knows what she's doing. Sitting down below the stairs chatting with a friend of mine and her baby was with us, at a lovely, friendly neighbor business (who bought tables and chairs for outside of their store to I assume, be used?) and the owner of this business, Wildflower Salon ignorantly exposes her unprofessional self by walking by, more like pushing by and I quote "Can you move this is a walk way I own a business upstairs" So rude and entitled....... there were so many other paths she could have taken......or asked politely if we were in her way? It was a stroller she was triggered over. Just crazy, how bad of a day are you having honestly take a deep breath. We replied "and this is a baby stroller maam sorry to ruin your day!" Not sure if she thought because we are younger she could get away with being so ugly? Yikes. Our response triggered her further and she snapped back saying we don't have to be rude as if we initiated the passive aggressiveness? And continued to escalate with us! Find some class lady and carry yourself better as a business owner or you won't have much clients from word of mouth. I am now working with her and the artist to develop a custom pendant to go with my perfect healing heart ring! It was officially national shop mom and pop business owners day this week.
