When I knew I was gonna be in the area for work I made an appointment to have her cut and color me. She's every bit as amazing at that as she is at styling. She takes her time, pays attention to detail, and cares about the health of your hair which is so important and appreciated. She gave me some highlights and lowlights with her Balayage magic. The dimension is beautiful. She trimmed me up without hacking six inches off my hair- which is what usually happens. And she styles you to perfection. No rushing you out of there. She wants to make sure you are happy and your hair looks amazing. Added bonus that she is one of the sweetest and most genuine people you'll meet. She is a joy to be around. I can't recommend her enough. Go see her and you'll walk out feeling like a cover model.

For my fifth and most recent appointment, I specifically confirmed beforehand that we were lifting my hair and was told to allocate three hours. There was a misunderstanding regarding my bangs, which I acknowledge, but I questioned during the appointment why the rest of my hair wasn't being lifted. The appointment ultimately lasted approximately two hours and felt incredibly rushed. The results are shown in the attached photos. Near the end, the stylist herself mentioned that some highlights looked orange. The salon lighting is quite dark, so I didn't see the extent until I was in brighter lighting afterward. After previously needing a second appointment for a similar issue, I decided not to return for another correction. Before updating my review, I contacted management. They responded promptly, asked if I wanted a refund, and directed me back to the stylist. For me, it wasn't primarily about a refund--it was about how the situation was handled. I've included the exchange so readers can form their own opinion. After repeated issues, this salon is simply no longer the right fit for me. She asked what I was thinking in terms of the hairstyle which I didn't expect - I was thinking they just give you a standard blowout. They wash your hair and style it. I debated on getting waves but ended up sticking with just the way she styled my hair after blow drying it. It looked amazing in the salon! I will say I kinda regretted it bc in the photos at the end of the day, my hair just looked straight and it would have probably looked better with more body and more curls. Still a great experience nonetheless (esp for free!) and it always feels good to be pampered! My friend was initially unhappy with her hair from another stylist but the girl kindly fixed it for her. After washing and straightening my hair at home, I discovered the cut was noticeably choppy and uneven (photos attached). The appointment had started late and became rushed so I initially gave the stylist the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was simply an unfortunate one off. I reached out privately and was very cordial. I asked only for the haircut portion to be refunded, not the blowout or the two products I purchased. I even told her I loved the blowout and had planned to return for another. She apologized and acknowledged the haircut was concerning but repeatedly asked me to return so she could examine and correct it. Because I'm getting married in six weeks and will already need to lose additional length to fix the cut I politely declined and said I was more comfortable having my regular stylist correct it. Instead of refunding the haircut, I was offered three free blowouts. I don't regularly get blowouts, so I politely declined again and reiterated my request for a refund of ONLY the haircut. Unfortunately, what disappointed me most wasn't the mistake itself because mistakes happen. It was how a reasonable request was handled after the fact. I gave multiple opportunities to resolve this privately and fairly and have not been refunded. I'm sharing this because I wish I had done more research beforehand, and others deserve to make an informed decision based on my experience. Additionally, I discovered this kind of behavior is actually common for this specific salon and owner, Lauren. I didn't plan to share this but after learning this is common behavior and bully tactics had been leveraged towards others in the past for speaking up, I didn't feel right not sharing my experience. Update: I was never informed at the time of service my cut was not "finished" since I assume when the cape is removed and I pay, it's done. Please be sure to confirm with your stylist the cut is finished before you pay and leave. I've since considered my haircut charge a donation towards future learning opportunities for the Master stylist at this salon. I'm so glad I found Rashel. She is very responsive, kind, and professional in all her communication. Her salon is located inside Phenix Salon Suites, and parking is easy and convenient. I came in with overprocessed, damaged hair, and Rashel truly rescued it. I requested a single-process mocha brown, and the result was beautiful--rich, even, and exactly what I wanted. She also did a Brazilian blowout, which I've been getting for years, and I could tell right away that she really knows her craft. She was careful, meticulous, and did not take any shortcuts.
