My sister helped book an appointment ahead of time so we were able to get the whole salon to ourselves practically. We had a few changes to our "order" before coming in, but they were very accommodating. The studio itself is very clean! I was happy to see pre-packaged and pre-disinfected tools being used, and there was even regular sanitizing. We were all paired up with a stylist who were all very attentive to each of us and so accommodating. Two of my sisters got French manicures and I even noticed that their stylists checked in with them to see if they liked their styles before finishing up their whole hands. One of my sisters and my mother even accidentally smudged their toes when drying, but their stylists also fixed them at no additional charge. Overall, it was such a great experience! I had just gotten out of the hospital a few days prior, and had been suffering from a serious bout of depression. I, embarrassingly, hadn't washed my hair in quite awhile. I felt gross walking around in public, even though I had a hat on. I looked up on my phone hair salons and came across this one (because I thought this was a nail salon lol) so I called in and asked if I could come in for just a hair wash. I said that my water was turned off, because I couldn't bring myself to admit that I had no excuse for such dirty hair. I was so embarrassed and humiliated, but when I came in, the woman (I wish I could remember her name) washed my hair with no judgment present. She talked to me and asked me about my day and if I had found anything good to buy at any of the shops. It was the most wonderful experience. It was so kind and genuine. When the wash was over, I was told I didn't have to pay. I want to thank you all for what you did for me this day. Your kindness outshone any badness in the world that day. Thank you. I apologize for lying about my water being turned off also, because I feel like that should be said. Disappointed is an understatement. The day after I got a wash/cut/blow dry with Tricia, my scalp…read morewas so severely inflamed that it was too PAINFUL to even rest the left/backside of my head on a pillow or even turn my head because Tricia didn't fully rinse the shampoo off of my scalp before blow-drying. The painful, swollen lumps were in a line from the top of my head down to my neck (where the soap dripped down). I've never had an allergic reaction to any cosmetic product and don't have a skin condition. The first time I got a haircut with Tricia, I let her know she missed some soap suds while we were still at the sink and she just wiped it off with a dry towel. This should have been a red flag but I shrugged it off thinking she might have just had an off day and came back regardless. Big mistake. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but it's been a full week and I'm still in pain so I felt I should let others know. I wish I could say I like the trim but it's choppy and uneven. I didn't bother asking for it to be cleaned up because I didn't want to lose more length and figured it's just hair so I can get it cleaned up by another salon in a couple of months. Tricia was nice and I still tipped her well but who knew a haircut could cause so much physical pain, sleepless nights, and misery?
