My sister helped book an appointment ahead of time so we were able to get the whole salon to ourselves practically. We had a few changes to our "order" before coming in, but they were very accommodating. The studio itself is very clean! I was happy to see pre-packaged and pre-disinfected tools being used, and there was even regular sanitizing. We were all paired up with a stylist who were all very attentive to each of us and so accommodating. Two of my sisters got French manicures and I even noticed that their stylists checked in with them to see if they liked their styles before finishing up their whole hands. One of my sisters and my mother even accidentally smudged their toes when drying, but their stylists also fixed them at no additional charge. Overall, it was such a great experience! Shout out to Angela for the fantastic soft pink bridal nails!!

Now onto the make-up- my daughter showed a picture of what she wanted, very simple and not too overdone. What she came out with was not what she wanted at all and the coloring was way off. She also put on eyelashes that looked horrendous. The stylist was sweet but my daughter was just trying to get out of there as quickly as she could and was so upset. We ended up driving straight to Target to get makeup remover and all new products to do it all over again as we were on the way to get pictures done. The place itself is clean and nice but maybe we'd try it again for just hair and ask for plenty of hairspray.

I had just gotten out of the hospital a few days prior, and had been suffering from a serious bout of depression. I, embarrassingly, hadn't washed my hair in quite awhile. I felt gross walking around in public, even though I had a hat on. I looked up on my phone hair salons and came across this one (because I thought this was a nail salon lol) so I called in and asked if I could come in for just a hair wash. I said that my water was turned off, because I couldn't bring myself to admit that I had no excuse for such dirty hair. I was so embarrassed and humiliated, but when I came in, the woman (I wish I could remember her name) washed my hair with no judgment present. She talked to me and asked me about my day and if I had found anything good to buy at any of the shops. It was the most wonderful experience. It was so kind and genuine. When the wash was over, I was told I didn't have to pay. I want to thank you all for what you did for me this day. Your kindness outshone any badness in the world that day. Thank you. I apologize for lying about my water being turned off also, because I feel like that should be said. I see their finished products sitting in the salon getting my own hair done, so I know I would trust any of them! The salon is nice and bright. Welcoming. It's easy to get to and plenty of parking whether on the street or there is a lot diagonal kind of. The girls work off each other too and with you, style wise and get ideas. It's been several months since I've had any TLC on my eyebrows. My previous person disappeared in…read morelife and it's taken me a while to find someone who seems trustworthy. Based on everyone's review on Yelp, The Wax Room looked to be the place where to go. Fortunately, it's located 30 seconds away from my dentist office (find my review on Radiance Dental in Reading). I was a little confused on where exactly to go when you reach the Market Basket parking lot. There is a plaza with a Salon. This made me believe that it was a typical hair salon that had a few services. When you walk in through the doors, it's like a row of 50 storage units (for a lack of a better word, suite) but cuter and smells of intoxicatingly beautiful smells and the sound of 50 hairdryers WRRRRRRRRRR'ing all at once. I was a bit overwhelmed walking into the suites. The Wax Room was very easy to find. But, I didn't realize that The Wax Room was exactly that. -Just one room, as are the rest of the many other tiny boutique services. One of the many thoughts that was running through my head is how everyone can compete against each other. But, it all seems to work out well. Another thought was, "Do I knock? Do I just go in?". Eventually figured it out. Bryanna was who had waxed my eyebrows and had done a tremendous job. I almost couldn't recognize myself. Think of Mia Thermopolis from the Princess Diaries and the makeover, except a lot less royal. However, it was great to finally have two eyebrows again. Bryanna had taken her time to perfect her craft. I can't get over how wonderful it feels. She was gentle and thorough. I nearly had fallen asleep as it was just soothing to get pampered. The only teensie weensie part that wasn't so comforting are the ceiling lights that beam down on you. They're a bit bright, but I can surely understand that there needs to be light to perform the job. I'm not too upset about that. I wish there could be one of those micro cosmetic lights. But then again. It's a tiny room, where limited equipment could be only be stored. Nonetheless, I'm still giving the adorable Wax Room and service 5 stars. I also love the fact that they accept credit cards; tip on card, as well! So, no need to run to the bank. A definite return in future!
