Now let me explain why: Kristina came to my rescue for my wedding and I don't know if I ever will be able to properly thank her. I booked my original wedding makeup artist over a year from my wedding. She wouldn't do a trial with me until 3 months from my wedding and after the trial I was incredibly disappointed and worried. I didn't feel confident with this person's capabilities for my wedding and I didn't feel that I was listened to when I voiced my concerns. I have a large, pigmented birthmark on my face that is very difficult to conceal and many makeup artists don't know how to handle it - the original makeup artist certainly didn't know how to conceal it and didn't listen to me after my trial when I said it still was visible to me. I canceled my contract and frantically took a desperate chance and contacted none other than Kristina Makris owner and master makeup artist of Flawless Makeup & Beauty Lounge. I had watched her skills for years when I would go to her studio to get my eyebrows done, however, I never would've thought I could've been lucky enough to have her do my wedding makeup. When I contacted Kristina it was not only THREE months from my wedding and in peak wedding season, but it was over a weekend. Kristina emailed me back the SAME day and said she wanted to help me out and was available. I was stunned! I signed a contract with her and locked my wedding in immediately. Then we booked a trial within a few weeks of signing the contract. My trial was nothing short of perfect. Kristina listened to me and my concerns, she made suggestions and asked questions about the bridal look I wanted, and took a great deal of time with my makeup application. I left feeling the best I ever had about myself and couldn't stop smiling! Before my wedding Kristina was always available to speak to about the wedding day timeline, gave me a spray tan location recommendation, skincare tips and even helped with bridal look suggestions. She was extremely kind, patient and communicative. The day of my wedding Kristina arrived on time, set up all of her makeup and lighting, and set the most calming and peaceful mood for the day. She was in a separate room from my hair stylist and it was so enjoyable to be around Kristina that my normal tense, type-A personality became calm and I was able to be in the moment and enjoy the day. My makeup on my wedding day was nothing short of perfect. I couldn't even believe it was ME when I looked at myself in the mirror. Each of my bridesmaids and my 60-year-old mother looked equally beautiful. They were all extremely happy with their makeup and couldn't stop taking pictures of themselves. She listened to each of them and gave them exactly what they wanted. I was so proud of how stunning my ladies looked. Kristina is a true professional through and through. Her skills are unparalleled. I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my bridal makeup on the most important day of my life. She listened to me and never once minimized my feelings or concerns about my birthmark. She handled everything with kindness and compassion and was such an important part of my wedding day. I needed some custom clip-in extensions for my wedding, as my hair has a highly specific thick, coarse, curly texture, and complex mixed-blonde color. I went in for a consultation - and when I say Gia's an extension guru, I mean it. Together, we crafted the perfect mix & match set of extensions, fully curated - including length, density, texture, highlight and lowlight colors / tints - to my exact hair needs. She was even able to fully match the texture to my specific curl pattern! The package was *barely* more expensive than purchasing a NON custom pre-made package from somewhere like Bellami. So worth it. When I received the extensions, I could not BELIEVE the quality. The color, the curl pattern, the texture and density... all perfect. I can wear them as-is to match my natural curls, or wash and blow dry them straight to be styled however I please (which is what I did for my wedding)! I was also on a time crunch - Stitched promises a 2 week turnaround for extensions, and when the process was taking a little longer due to the factory losing power, Gia personally saw to it to expedite as fast as humanly possible, texting me with constant updates and the tracking number once she received it. Since my wedding was out of town, she also offered expertise on my own personal hair coloring appt before the wedding, as well as best practices for extension placement, styling and care. If I were in town, I would've for sure had Gia do the installation of them as well. I felt so held by Gia throughout the entire process, and am SO happy with the final product.
