Booking an appointment was easy enough. I browsed the site a bit and was able to set it up without any issue. I even left a little note saying I was kind of nervous since I haven't had anyone take care of my hair in a while, but I had an inkling of an idea--long and low-maintenance. The studio is tucked away in Evanston, but easy to find. No issues with parking. The space is clean with cute decor. There's no receptionist and the stylists do their thing, but they were attentive and checked me and other patrons in promptly. They've got a little coffee machine if you need, too. My appointment was with Chase and he was wonderful! He really listened to my concerns about my hair and helped by giving me all the information I needed to make decisions on what I wanted. He was also just a fun person to talk to. By the end of it, I my hair was feeling clean and light and all sorts of fresh. I will definitely be returning to Fawn in the future for my hairstyling needs.

Had a new technician wash my hair, Louis, who lived up to the salon's high standards. I have also had color done by Jeff and regularly by Dawn. Always come out feeling beautiful!

They are super easy to care for-- like wash and go after using a bit of curl goo. The cuts grow out beautifully. I waited almost 8 months between & my hair still had a great shape. She really knows how to get the most out of your curls. Her cuts always make my hair look fuller. My curls actually curl and don't look like a frizzy mess. Basically, she's a curl master & also fun to chat with. I've also taken my teen girls to Megan. She has helped my younger daughter gracefully grow her hair out from a pixie to a bob and my older daughter (who usually despises getting her hair cut) loved having it cut by Megan & is so happy with the result! She went from long hair to shoulder length bob & its such a flattering cut! As far as the overall vibe at the salon, it's warm, welcoming & laid back. There's plenty of street parking-- mostly meters, but you can find free back on the side streets too. Summary: Aim & Ailie's is a gem! You & your hair should get over there ASAP.
