I would never recommend coming here. The owners treat the receptionist employees like garbage. I came in to adjust a few appointments, While the receptionist got a call from the owners. I could literally hear the owner Eva. Screaming at the receptionist on the phone. I will no longer continue to put any money towards a small business who treats the employees poorly. I've been going to Bliss for many years and always found it a relaxing experience.. On Saturday, my appointment was just the opposite. There was a little girl's Birthday Party in the salon with screaming, excited 3 and 4 year olds. It was annoying and the volume was deafening. It made my appointment a negative experience. read more

Cynthia Yosef is an excellent colorist and stylist who recently picked up a couple of days working at Bliss. I have generally believed many of the best colorists are in downtown Chicago. Cynthia works normally out of the west loop. I had another colorist in the loop I liked but had to switch to Cynthia about two years ago. Best move I ever made. A few months back I came in to get a no chip mani and pedi and was left pretty disappointed. The woman who did it was very sweet but just not careful/detailed with polish. My no chip was uneven in spots and some nails had polish on the sides of the nail bed. Similar issue with pedi. Also the pedicure stations are kind of thrown in this tiny area in the back where you face a wall lol so it feels a bit claustrophobic. Then I left covered in nail oil to the point that I had to clean my hands several times to avoid getting oil all over the interior of my car. read more

One of the stylists came to my home to cut my hair which was convenient. My hair was pretty damaged from coloring so I was asking for a short cut lengthy bob. The cut was horribly and very noticibly uneven. This was literally the most expensive haircut I've ever paid for and was by far the worst. She was in and out, seemed annoyed and disinterested, and even told me she didn't want me to hate the cut lol. I notified her of the poor job and she offered to fix it, which for $60 I was expecting a really good quality haircut, I declined. I was far too worried to have her cut off any more hair. I was interested in looking for a new stylist to begin with but This is a definitely a sign my old one wasn't so bad after all read more

I love this place! Such a nice salon with friendly faces. I have a pleasant experience every time I come whether it's for nails, hair or esthetics services. They are extremely accommodating and meet your needs. I never feel rushed during a service or made to feel uncomfortable (which is my biggest pet peeve). I've been going to Bliss for over 30 years. I followed the salon from location to location. My stylist, Loni, has always done a wonderful job of coloring and cutting my hair. Believe me, if I didn't love the work she does, I wouldn't be loyal to the salon. Jackie does pedicures very well and is warm and thoughtful. I also enjoy the overall friendly atmosphere at Bliss. Very bad haircut for men. Ester did not even know how to cut my hair and I kept saying I need short and I ended up having to redo a haircut after ten days... Of course somewhere else. Really frustrating. Also paid $40 for this haircut plus tip? Not worth $10 read more

I went to Bliss when they were on Lake St.and followed them to their new location. Katy most recently did my color.......AMAZE! I get maincures there often too and always get compliments. Bliss Salon is 100 percent the best manicure and pedicure on the Northshore. The staff is beyond friendly and genuinely care so much about their customers. Although each of the nail technicians is amazing, Eva is beyond wonderful. The prices are the same as most other places on the Northshore, but the quality at Bliss is SO much better. Katy made my hair look fabulous! I looked so scary. I hadn't gotten anything done professionally for soooo long due to the pandemic and other. In the meanwhile I'd colored and cut my hair for the first time ever and it looked yawn. Oh boy, Katy does not need to worry about me scooping up her job. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT GET A WAX HERE. I just had the worst bikini wax experience of my life here. I am quite used to the feeling of Brazilian waxes and normally find the pain tolerable. This time as not. The woman who waxed me was rough and imprecise, left sticky wax all over my legs, and the room was filthy. Worst of all, when I was getting dressed I looked down to notice that she had missed major sections of hair. I absolutely regret ever stepping foot in this place and can't believe I gave them my money. Would give zero stars if it were possible. RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION. read more

I think Deneen is the best thing on two legs and this is the fourth salon I have followed her to. She is great. But I am not in love with the salon itself. It's smallish, and the people are not terribly friendly. I love seeing all the sylists and assistants from the other salons -- and they are terrific. But some of the people who have obviously been there for a while are less embracing. But Deneen -- LOVE her. read more

I've been a client of Bliss for several years now, following them to their new location, which might I add is a wonderful and bright airy space and I love the new area it's located in Winnetka. Bliss Salon has been my go to spot when I feel like treating myself to a great manicure and pedicure. The staff is professional and the environment is very welcoming and relaxing.
