Nancy White has been coloring and straightening my hair all of this time, and a week doesn't go by that I I don't get compliments about how beautiful my color looks. Since I have thick and frizzy hair, straightening has always been part of my beauty routine. Nancy was trained over 10 years ago in the Brazilian technique, which is now referred to as the keratin treatment. I was one of her first victims. I went here for a blowdry as I was going to a fancy wedding. I had Mitzi do my hair and I was very happy with the results.She took her time and listened to me when I wanted a few adjustments. It was one of the best blow drys I've had in a very long time. It is a little high priced for me but it was worth every cent. I've been going to Marissa for color for 10 years - first at Pascal and now at Paul Rehder. She's extremely talented, especially when it comes to blondes. I cut my hair elsewhere (shoutout to Vivian at Bloouts down the street who gives the BEST cuts), but find it easiest with timing to get blowouts here following my colors. Unfortunately, I've had trouble finding a good stylist for blowouts. I went to Kate for many years, but once showed up for family pictures with my daughter. She took a look at my daughter's curls and said she had no time in her busy schedule (at the very time of our appointment), which I thought was really wrong to do an hour before photos. My daughter rocked her beautiful curls for photos, but it left a bad taste in my mouth so 2 years ago I moved on to Ji for my own blowouts. During my most recent hair appt I was running a few minutes late and they expedited my glaze so that I wouldn't be too late for Ji. I went downstairs to find her and she was busy with a client so I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for her. Once she finished her client she rudely turned to me and she was out of time and would have to see me another time. After I complained they found me someone else, but the stylists really need to learn to stick to their schedules and work with the front desk if they need more time. I may continue to go here because I like Marissa, but if so it looks like I'm on the hunt once again for another stylist after color. I would love to walk down the streets to BloOuts, but difficult to time it right and walking in winter with wet hair isn't so fun. read more

This rating so solely based on my experience today. I went in for my 2:15 appointment with jola to get a haircut the woman at the front desk doesn't tell me my appointment isn't on the schedule she just hands me a gown and sends me up. I walk up to another client whose also there for a 2:15. I go back down to the desk to try and reschedule or find someone else available. This one guy George is available. Before getting my haircut they failed to mention HE CHARGES $125 FOR A BASIC TRIM!!!! Had they told me I would have waited however many days to see jola!! This is 1000% the front desk staffs fault for not mentioning he charges more than double what she does. This makes me never want to go back. I love jola but the fact that the front desk staff messed up the schedule when I called to book weeks ago and that they failed to mention his insane price difference makes me so mad. read more

I have been going to Daniel for color for over a year now and he is very talented!! I am blonde and he just 'gets it.' He goes over highlights I already had and updates the roots so that I can still have definition in my hair and let my natural brown tone show thru. Otherwise what has happened in the past is my hair just all ends up blonde. Personally I do not like lowlights and they always have turned orange/yellow on me so I needed someone who has attention to detail and willing to do the extra work. I had my first haircut with Rita recently. It turned out amazing!! She really knows how to work well with my hair's texture (wavy in the back, straight in the front.) Usually, with other hairstylists, when I get home I realize that the beauty of their haircut was all smoke and mirrors and based on their blowout looking good. Jola is an amazing hair stylist! She did my hair on my wedding day and did a wonderful job, it looked beautiful and lasted all night! She recommended we do a hair trial before the wedding and she gave me so many great ideas and we were able to create a hair style that matched my wedding day vision. Still hate the salon but love the stylists. Be warned that if you happen to have a long appointment (as I did for keratin), you WILL get a parking ticket out front. Yes, there are signs but many places don't enforce parking restrictions. They should let you know not to park there if you are going to be there a long time. On top of spending a fortune for color and keratin, I had a nice $45 ticket waiting on my car. I called them and they just kept saying they are fighting the village on it. That's nice but they should warn their customers. read more

Gabriella is the best stylist I have ever had, and I have had many!! In addition to being just an outstanding person, which does matter, she is truly a gifted stylist. I walk in and tell her, just do what you have to to make my hair look great. I used her initially to cut all my hair off into a cute short do, and now that it is long again, she give me a style which can be limited with long hair, but she works with my face and hair texture beautifully. Ive tried this salon twice for a blow dry and just didnt have a great experience. My main issue with this salon is from a service perspective and because i assume this salon is touting itself as "high end" that should be an important aspect which i feel is lacking. Both times i arrived the person who checked me in was not super friendly and seemed very annoyed in general. I was never shown where to go once i checked in but was instead just told to "go get shampooed" except i had no clue where to go. Both times i waited by the shampoo area for the shampoo people to even notice me while they gossiped with each other and once i was noticed that girl looked annoyed too that she actually had to do something. Then there was more wandering around trying to find someone to tell me where to go after my shampoo (with dripping wet hair...). I was surprised how the employees just stood around unwilling to help and left a customer wandering around w/wet hair not knowing where to go. And both times my stylist had no idea i was even waiting for them. Oh and no one ever asked me if i needed anything (water, tea, etc which is common in other upscale salons) and i had to hunt down my own gown lol. The first time i went, the stylist was very sweet but just didnt have great skills w/frizzy hair so i didnt love how it looked after. My hair was very greasy from too much product and wasn't fully dry. The 2nd time i went the stylist actually did a nice job but spent the entire 45 min. appt. trying to sell me various services that i kept saying i wasnt interested in and name dropping who her clients were. That was the weirdest part lol particularly because i knew one of her clients that she kept mentioning and she would have been horrified that the stylist was doing that. I will definitely not be trying Paul Rehder again. Ill stick w/my drive downtown to my usual salon where both the services and the customer service are great. read more

Got my hair done here for the first time today and I was very pleased. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, professional environment. My hairstylist Victoria could not have done a better job! I only get highlights a couple times a year typically so I like it done really naturally and minimal processing. Victoria knew exactly what I wanted done and I am very impressed with her work. 5 stars for color and 4 stars for cut But not a good overall "experience" hence the 3 stars Call me old fashioned but why am I being directed to get my own gown, find my own way upstairs for the colorist and then my own way downstairs to find the stylist. I'm spending $300 with tip and I'm getting my own coffee. Then I'm waiting 30 mins for my stylist who has no idea I'm waiting for her because wait -was it my job to do that? She over ran and I was early from my color. She should have been told. My cut today was lazy and was finished with straighteners as last time - lazy. My cut took 30 mins from start to finish and was $95. In that time I had to ask for it to be tweaked as I wasn't happy. I'm now in a store and my hair even feels damp so no way is the finish going to last the day. She over ran so I'm getting less time and leaving with damp hair? In the city I used to get my own gown but I felt wanted and welcome by the receptionists. Here 2 receptionists in particular make me feel as though I'm a transaction. "You know where your going right?" I've been here twice and both times I haven't left feeling fabulous in the least. Hugely disappointing and I'm outta there. I'm going back to the city where my stylist and the salon was passionate about making me feel great and took the time to make my hair look amazing. read more

She is truly an artist and knows exactly how to treat a range of hair styles and colors. Whatever your hair dreams are she will make them come true. I have been going to Cameron for color and Gabriella for cuts for several years at Pascal's. When the ladies moved to the Rehder salon it was a big step up in class and customer service. The salon itself is gorgeous and complimentary tea coffee water and snacks are cheerfully provided. Of course the best part is the highly qualified staff Rehder assembled. Gabriela it's the only stylist I've ever turned loose on my hair with complete faith and trust on her vision. Cameron somehow takes my comments and works her hardest to make my color dreams come true. I never come out exactly the same way without requesting that to happen. I've been from jet black all the way to mega blonde and every time it looks great! She's super skillful and can give you exactly what you want. Jennifer M. rocks color on every possible level. She knows how to keep my hair shiny and glowing with just the right auburn highlights while she keeps me entertained with her equally shiny personality. She (along with all other staff I have encountered) are friendly, highly professional and together they create a very welcoming environment. The aesthetics of the space has charm in its own right. I personally love hardwood floors, and the lovely crown molding is something pleasant to see while you are tipped back for a hair wash! There is even private space to do your own blow out if you choose to, and I happily return time and again! But the real reason I go there is for my hairdresser, Barbara Coronato. I have followed her for many years, and she always makes me look fabulous. I found her at another salon years ago when I called there looking for a stylist who knew how to deal with curly hair. I have never been disappointed. First time here this past weekend and the place is huge! Very pretty inside with a ton of stylists. That being said, I feel as it is too crowded and busy all at once. Maybe because it was a Saturday and there was a local dance going on at the high school that evening, however, I didn't feel I received the one-on-one attention from my stylist that I deserve (especially for what I paid - I was expecting the price to be what it was going into this salon, but still). Everything felt very rushed. My stylist was doing my hair along with 3 other clients at the same time, and instead of the stylist taking time with me individually, I was being handed off to different people to take care of me. Although I really like how my hair turned out, I felt my stylist didn't really listen to me when I was telling her/showing her what I wanted done to my hair. I was going for more of a different color look than what I received, but I guess I got lucky and liked how it turned out. Not sure if I will return or not. I'd rather go some place where the stylists are more involved and attentive to their clients and take the time to really accomplish the same goal. read more
