UMMMM HI. Am I Beyoncé? This salon gives me life. Seriously guys, I came in looking questionable and left with Beyoncé glam hair in under an hour. YES. I've seen Daria in the past and LOVE her yet I was coming in on a Saturday and us ladies all like to get our hair done on Saturday's. (I suggest making appointments in advance) the place is busy. The whole experience was top notch from the start, I was greeted by Daria who offered me something to drink and introduced me to Liana the stylist who would be doing my blow out. Liana was was so sweet and seriously gave me some of the best hair of my life. I have extensions and there was no problem taking me from ratchet to fabulous. She knew I was going to a wedding so the time was no problem, I was in and out in about an hour. The line that the salon uses is called Eufora and its seriously magic, I've never gotten so many compliments on my hair in my life. Why drive into the city when you can not fight for a parking space and get amazing hair and sweet genuine stylists? I will be back! Bravo! read more

I LOVE this hair salon so much that I refuse to go anywhere else. One time, my stylist was completely booked out, and I needed my hair done ASAP, so I went to a nearby salon at the urging of some friends. Huge mistake. Now I know to book my appointments in advance, because though they do get busy quickly (especially around the holidays), there really is no place better than Salon 77. The salon itself is immaculate and very chic. It's clean, bright, beautiful, and has all of the latest tools and products. (Eufora stuff is amazing! Huge fan of the urgent repair shampoo, leave-in conditioner, and shine spray.) I've gone to many stylists here, and they've all been fabulous. I usually see Crystal for my cut and highlights because she is a blonde genius (and hilarious.) My mom sees Leah and loves her. The girls here are so friendly and really personalize your every visit. I especially appreciate that they discuss WITH YOU what it is you want/what they think is best, and then EXPLAIN it before they start working. And then.... well, the results are always absolutely beautiful! In the six years I've been coming here, I've only ever had one small issue. I didn't love a cut that I had been given, but Leah, the owner, handled it so professionally and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. Seriously consider coming here. Well I went in to this salon last week last minute for a color correction for my daughter the day before a semi formal. They took 5 hours and it didn't really look much better. They took a copper kinda glaze and put it in to "even" it out. It was expensive and was not good in the end. I'm unhappy with it as she was too, neither of us are people that demand money back or complain at service. So I know I'm rating here which to me feels contradictory. However; I just kinda feel like I got ripped off and I overheard them talking about "money " at the front kinda like they were making a plan to get the most out of us. I will not go back I'm paying at my regular salon today to fix their mess up. read more

Today was my first time at Salon 77- the new home of my all time favorite hair stylist Natalie! Though it is an hour away from me, I have no problem making the trip for her. Natalie does an incredibly skillful cut- get pretty edgy look that isn't the typical ask but she always does an excellent job. I would trust her with anything! Not to forget she is so nice and I love chatting it up with her. Natalie also colors my hair and knows what I want without even needing to ask. She remembers everything and is consistent every time- its like telepathy! She is also extremely well priced- which is an added, unnecessary bonus as I would pay more to continue with her services. Now comes Natalie's greatest virtue- SHE DOES THE SMOOTHEST, SHINIEST, GLOSSIEST BLOWOUTS OF ANYONE ON THE PLANET. I didn't know a hairdryer and a round brush could make this magic, but that's because they don't- Natalie does. Never in my life has any blowout looked as good as this, it's incredible. Godly even. Don't take my word for it and get one yourself. Mine last a full week, and could go longer without a wash. In Natalie I trust. She's worth every penny, extra mile of driving, and ounce of your trust. I can never say enough about this salon and the hairstylists and staff that work here. I am a picky person when it comes to who I will let touch my hair and they are truly hair artists! Crystal is my go-to and she is my BEST but I've definitely developed my "circle of trust" including various of the stylists there as have not had a bad experience yet. Five stars for this salon, always. My family and I have been going to this salon for probably 20 years at this point. They are the only people I trust with my hair. First off, this is the most beautiful, clean salon, and such a joy to be in their space. ...And secondly, the stylists are life saviors! In a hurry to get a cut before a vacation, I made the biggest mistake by getting my hair cut outside of Salon 77 this week. I got the worst hair cut of my entire life. After getting the worst haircut of my entire life, I called Leah. (Because that's what you do when you need good hair. You call Leah.) Went to Salon 77 for the first time in January 2018. I had an awesome experience. The owner ended up doing my hair, because the person I was originally scheduled with couldn't make it in due to a snow storm. I was so pleasantly surprised that they made this accommodation for me last minute. I am certain that the owner was busy with other clients, and know they probably had several stylists who couldn't make it in because of the weather. For that reason alone, I would recommended this place because of their genuine focus on the client. Aside from that, I loved my hair! I got a cut and color and was really happy with the results and got lots of compliments on the new color. The salon itself was also really clean and had recently gone through a redecoration that came out great! I will most definitely be back to Salon 77 in the future! read more

I am a big fan of this salon. It is rare to find one so good. I've had two visits here for haircuts with two different stylists and each has been a great experience. I plan to make them my permanent solution for my hair. It's a beautifully designed salon (wonder who the designer was, it's so good), everyone is very welcoming, talkative and very talented. I'm going to book another appt to get my highlights done on my next visit (wish they were open on Sunday). Loved the scalp massage during shampoo - it is fabulous. I had no idea I needed it. I would go just for that. :-D I actually came here for the first time about 7/8 years ago and it was under completely different ownership, and empty with only one stylist. However today the salon is is completely redesigned with pro lighting and tools -- it takes a lot of work and dedication to create and operate a successful salon, but the owner has succeeded. A bit pricier than others but you get what you pay for, and these stylists are very good. When you find a gem like this (and I've been to salons all over the Boston area), it's worth it. I will not be returning here . Today, I was left in the waiting room for 30 minutes without any explanation or apology that Julianne was running late. This would have been my 3rd visit with Julianne, the first visit I was left sitting with wet hair while she fit in a men's haircut for one of her friends. She has no time management skills or courtesy for clients time. The apology she just left me on my voicemail was half- hearted and kind of rude " I was running late ...(then she laughed) and doing the best I could". So shouldn't someone should have told me she was running late? Instead of just having me sit there? I saw Daria once and she had to ask other staff what to do with my highlights, they came out okay but it wasn't a positive experience. read more

AMAZING!!!! I am a working mom that works 40+ hours a week in a high stress job so when I go to a salon for some me time I need it DESPERATELY! It had been about a year since I had my hair done and I was not feeling great about myself. I had been here prior a couple of times but after my hair dresser left I thought to try a different salon which was a huge mistake!!!! I can honestly say after today I will NEVER go to another salon again! Once I walked into the door today I was greeted by beautiful smiles all around! I checked in and sat down since I was 15 minutes early. I then saw the Leah the own (rare to see in other salons) chatting with staff and clients which was such a breath of fresh air. She then sat in the seat next to me and asked who I was seeing and what I was having done. I let her know a color and cut and then later on a partial foil. She was very educated and well spoken and let me know that doing it that way will be more difficult and I may not get the results I am looking for. I agreed after speaking with her for a while and was then brought to my Stylist Daria. The owner Leah and I explained the plan and Daria made it happen! My hair is not the easiest to deal with and I was originally only scheduled for a all over color and cut but with the partial foil now it was going to take much longer. As time went on it got closer to Daria's next client. Daria never made me feel uncomfortable for taking a lot of time and explained that one of the other senior girls opted to take her next client so she can take full care of me! WHAT AMAZING TEAM WORK AND SUPPORT! I was completely relaxed and felt so welcome the entire time! I am moving to southern MA in June and will not hesitate to come up and make the drive so I can stay their client! What a hidden Gem!! Newbury street salons and others around the area have nothing on these girls, and there amazing manager/ owner Leah! The salon itself is conveniant as its near my work and the salon is always immaculate. the staff that works there are beyond wonderful, they are so friendly and professional and remember you by name which is always nice. i always go to Vanessa and she is amazing! i have sent several people there and cant say enough great things about this place. The unimpressive brick suburban strip-mall location makes the new classy, modern and fun interior fairly surprising but a huge relief from the average hair salon experience. It's much more cozy and friendly than downtown salons, the cuts are just as good, prices will not hurt your wallet and you can park right out front. I'm a huge fan of Leah's cut/style - I never have to stress about getting too much or too little cut off or waking up the next day with haircut regret; nor do I ever feel pushed into getting extra services, products, or rebooking.
