I had my hair…read moreextensions installed by Kristen back in April, and they have been an absolute GAME CHANGER for me. Every six weeks I go back to Kristen for what we call a "mini move-up," and every 12 weeks she completely removes and reinstalls them. She is so knowledgeable, meticulous, and does an amazing job every single time. The extensions look and feel so natural, and the maintenance at home is surprisingly easy. They're easy to take care of, easy to style, and honestly so much easier than I ever expected. But beyond how great they look, the biggest difference has been how they make me FEEL. I feel more beautiful, more confident, and just happier with my hair. I genuinely can't imagine going back to my old hair now. If you've been thinking about getting extensions but are nervous or have questions, I highly recommend reaching out to Kristen. If you're on the fence, DO IT. You will not regret it!

I wanted the results of a Keratin but didn't have $350 to spend!!! I went to see Savenia, who was warm, funny, welcoming, and a great hairdresser! She just closed down her own business for commuting reasons and her experience shows. She gave me the express Keratin treatment (I think they called it a Keratin Blowout) - for about $120 - which has made my thick, frizzy hair SO much more manageable and smooth during this horrible heat and humidity. She also gave me a nice haircut, taking out a lot of the weight in my thick, thick hair and giving me some nice layers. The salon is a little hard to find (on the second floor above the Indian restaurant) but is stylish and comfortable. The prices were really reasonable. I'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend Savenia to anyone!

When my last hairdresser decided to drastically cut back on her hours serving only her family & friends, I knew I had to move. I tried another hairdresser in her shop and gave her two tries; it wasn't working. Meanwhile, I have lived i Wilmington for 11 years and had only one experience at another shop which was not very favorable (I consider myself fashion-forward despite being a boomer). I saw Bella Terrazzo's new location and decided to pop in and see what they could do with my hair. I was pleased with the suggestions and sat down for a cut. This was 6 months ago. I recently tried waxing which I had never tried before. Surprised to find out my hairdresser would do it herself (not another person). I am pleased with the results of that also and plan to go back for this service. Friendly and helpful people! Like the owners also!

Unfortunately the worst experience ever. I have literally never left a review before, but this…read moreexperience was honestly really horrible. Would not recommend. I came in asking for a basic brown balayage with lighter pieces and made it very clear that I do not like red tones in my hair. I even showed a reference photo. I ended up with noticeable HOT PINK highlights, which was completely unexpected and not what I asked for at all. There was no conversation or confirmation that any kind of pink tone would be added to my hair. I gave the salon a chance to fix it and came back, spending over 8 hours across 2 days trying to correct it. Unfortunately, the end result still has red undertones and now looks muddy, not like a balayage. What made the situation worse was the way it was handled. The owner was dismissive and blamed the result on a very slight color filter on my phone, saying I "should have known" I was getting pink. Even if a photo looked slightly warm, that does not justify adding hot pink tones without clearly communicating that to a client first. The owner honestly seemed annoyed that I was there and barely finished drying my hair. When I expressed that I was still unhappy after spending $300 on something that wasn't what I asked for, I was told I would have had to pay that amount regardless, and the conversation was essentially shut down. I also tried calling afterward to resolve things and never received a response. I understand that miscommunications can happen, which is why I gave them the opportunity to fix it. But the lack of accountability, poor communication, and unprofessional attitude made this a really frustrating experience. I literally cried for hours straight after coming home with pink hair, and then to be told it was my fault and to not be offered a discount/ partial refund is CRAZY. This is the reference photo I showed, what I received, and then the "correction"

I asked her for recommendations and she suggested Jazz 3 Hair Design which was conveniently located diagonally across the street from the Wilmington Commuter Rail Stop- which I was taking anyway to head back to Boston. It's on the back side of the new residential complex at one church street- the salon is located in the plaza where the parking lot is. I walked in unexpectedly and the owner Ria greeted me with the biggest smile - she welcomed me to her new business which was absolutely beautiful inside. I found out she's been doing hair for over 25 years and has owned other salons... so off the bat I felt like I was working with a professional who was extremely passionate about what they do. She ended up having a last minute cancellation that day so she was able to fit me in before her next scheduled appointment... thank the heavens! I showed her a few pictures of the hair cut I wanted; long layers and side swept bangs. After asking a few detailed questions about my hair and how I take care of it- Ria went right to work! She offered me so many hair care suggestions and tips along the way. We spent an hour chatting away- she really makes you feel like family believe it or not. And while I was randomly there, two different clients stopped by to give her Christmas gifts! How sweet is that? She told me clients have been following her since she started- over 20 years ago!! Her personality is one of a kind so I don't doubt it for a second. She did an amazing job- My hair cut was absolutely fabulous - exactly what I wanted! I felt like a million bucks when I left.
