Thelma (I believe her last name is Jacobs) is one of the practitioners there. She is horrible. I came to her to fix something that someone else had done and she tried her best but it was a failure so I had to go elsewhere. I came back to her again and she was doing the same lousy work and I called her on it. I have three degrees in art and design so am highly trained to see very carefully. She told me to get out. I should've mentioned "gladly" as I left. The owner of the shop never picks up the phone, as corroborated by Thelma. And Thelma showed to me her collection of scissors etc. that she values at $20,000. She also used her new dryer that her family had given to her as a Christmas gift. I can't recall the price precisely but I believe it was $599. The word "entitled" comes to mind. The sentence, "I am absolutely wealthy and couldn't care less whether or not I cut your hair properly or not" comes to mind. I also went to the manicurist who rents a space there. She did a horrible job the first time for $44. I had to come back and show her what needed to be done. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place for a moment. It's in a tich town and rich people go there. I am not rich, and I praise God for that given the behavior of people like this. read more

Erica is new at this location but she has been cutting my hair for about 2 years now. I wouldn't go to anyone else. She always does an amazing job and I trust her completely. She's also been cutting my nephew's hair since he was about 10 months old. So she's definitely great with little kids as well. I used to hate getting my hair cut. But ever since I met Erica, I actually look forward to making another appointment. She's really chill and easy to talk to. She's not only skilled at her craft, but also takes the time to make you feel appreciated and welcomed. She deserves more than 5 stars! read more

Salon 66 is a welcoming salon with lots of stylists available. My stylist, Carmen, is wonderful and takes her time to know what you want, I had sent photos of cuts/color and she colored and cut my hair the way I wanted and styled it beautifully. All of my gray disappeared! I let my hair grow for years and last Friday I cut it all off. Feels great and looks fabulous! I will definitely be back! read more

Very disappointed. After purchasing a $25 certificate at a fundraiser, I took my daughter for a back to school haircut. When we walked in, no one greeted us or asked for our name or who we were scheduled to meet. After 10 minutes, a woman asked (with no greeting). 5 more minutes passed and Dolores called my daughter over. She didn't wash her hair. She trimmed it, which is what I requested, but that took all of 3 minutes. A price list of their services is posted on the web; it says a child's haircut is $15. I was not given credit for the remainder of the certificate. I would think a little customer service, let alone being treated fairly, wouldn't have killed anyone. They obviously didn't care about us as a client and whether or not we'd ever return. So congrats, we won't be returning and you they now have this Yelp review! read more

Just wanted to give a quick review on Salon 66. Formerly located on Route 66, they have just relocated to Glendora Ave/Foothill Blvd. Have not been to the new location yet. So my shout out is to, Kathy Silva. I have been a fellow hairstylist in the business for 25+ years and I've had my share of haircuts from various stylists, and could still probably get some freebies if I wanted to drive 20 minutes. However, in a last minute, I need my haircut this second, I gave Kathy a try, and Hello?, loved it. I do have certain ways I like it to be cut (hairstylist control issues) and she's nailed it 3 times in a row; most my previous experiences rarely get it, let alone repeat it. Very accommodating with my last minute calls and in my opinion, underpriced. But hey, that's a plus for the client. read more

I've been getting my hair cut, colored, and styled by Kathy for years. I wouldn't get a haircut from anyone else. If you want a haircut that will continue to look great as it grows out you have to go to her. She also does great with dramatic change, like going from extremely long to very short, I've never seen anyone do it better with as much consistency. She's so nice and tries to accommodate you any way she can including coming in on her days off! She really goes the extra mile for her clients. read more

Had 11am appt made over the phone because of rave reviews on Yelp. Showed up at 10:50. Entered salon and was not even greeted by two stylist there. At 11am I ask for Thelma and they tell me she had not arrived yet, "she is probably stopping and getting Starbucks" is what one stylist said. I get it, we all need our cup of niceness. At 11:10 the other stylist decides to call Thelma to see if she is almost at salon, she stated was stuck in traffic. Then some other guy shows up (after me) and I was told that he has to get his haircut done before me! WTF! Like my time is not precious...she finally walks in at 11:17 with no acknowledgement or apology...wow, if that's how she treats family (like stated in reviews) I'm sure glad she's not in my family! read more
