My hair color was in disarray and my cut wasn't growing out well ... but Tu worked her magic on me and I now absolutely LOVE my cut and color. Ann does an absolutely perfect job on my straight and not so easy to cut hair. I've been looking for a great hair stylist for the past year since relocating to the area. She does the best job I've had in many many years and I assure you I'm very picky about my straight hair. The style I get is long enough on the top so I can style it up and back with a short blend on the back & sides. She takes her time to get it perfect every time. The music is loud - the last time I was there (and it's been a long time ago, because it's so loud that it jangles my nerves) Whitney Houston was blaring through the speakers and it was just too much. Ann has been cutting my hair for years. She's very friendly and professional. I've had many different styles throughout the years and she has been able to adapt to each one. From buzz cuts to long hair, I've been more than satisfied. It's difficult to find the right hair stylist, but once I found her I never looked back. Tips for getting hair cuts: Learn some terminology by googling how to get a hair cut. Communicate what you want. Be as specific as possible. Relax & breathe...have fun! If you don't like your haircut, remember hair grows back. If you keep going to different hair stylists' instead of sticking to one, you won't give someone the opportunity to learn about your hair. I have never been disappointed with my cut or color. It is always just right. Thu does a great job ensuring you are 100% satisfied before walking out the door. My sister and I needed a hair cut, and we found them on groupon for an amazing deal of "normal price" at $110, with the groupon deal at $31. We found out after reading fine print we would pay a bit more for having long hair, okay. Odd, but okay. Our hair being at mid back made it $15/each. So now the deal is $46/each. Not horrible at all for a shampoo, "deep conditioning", dry and style. Not sure why you wouldn't just make it that price instead. A little fight back and forth with my sister, because my sister couldn't word how she wanted her hair cut but Thu wanted to get it done, but my sister did end up loving her hair cut. Just a little frustrated at the end thinking she wasn't really being heard/felt rushed. I enjoyed the shampoo and "deep conditioning", but I don't think my hair cut is any different than getting one from Floyd's 99, where I normally go. Little crocked and very blunt cuts, as well as shorter than I wanted to go. Someone previously had stated the only thing high end is their prices, and I would have to agree. Ann is an amazing colorist and stylist! I got a haircut and blonde balayage from her and i'm in love with it!! She was really helpful in recommending what length and style to cut my hair in order to be suitable for my balayage. My hair was long, naturally black and SUPER thick, so she cut my hair and used Olaplex products to bleach it, and then toned it to my desired color. For me, the entire process took about 7 hours and we even went past closing hours, but despite all of that I really appreciate Ann for being patient and detailed oriented, even though it was thick and long. She was dedicated to finishing my hair properly without rushing the process. I would definitely recommend her to those who are interested in colored hair and balayage styles! She introduced me to a really great product for my hair that I have been using for years now. She will give her honest opinion and give you great tips on maintaining healthy hair. Money hungry! Merchant did not honor their Groupon offer. They wanted to charge extra for a haircut when my hair is shoulder length, they are claiming it's longer. I am completely floored with the hairstyling I received here. I can't even style my own hair, and could have done a better job with the styling in the hour and fifteen minutes I spent here. My last haircut at Premier Atelier was less than an hour, and included shampoo, cut, blowdry and styling! Everyone in the salon is very friendly, sweet, and personable. That's about all the nice I can say here. What they have in niceness they need to match in talent. They are very close to home, and since my stylist is on vacation I thought it would be convenient to stop in for hair styling/blowout, just basic curls done in my long hair, for engagement portraits. I mean, every stylist can do a blow out, right? When I left my hair was a burnt mess. They must have put a half can of mousse in my hair, and I was forced to try to salvage the style at home in the fifteen minutes I had to retouch my makeup and change - there were pieces of hair that weren't curled at all. The curls fell out less than twenty minutes after leaving the salon. What a waste of time and money. They caused so much stress through their time mismanagement and general incompetence that I'm pretty sure I wasted my photographer's portrait fee as well. Oh well. Maybe no one will see my hair in the portraits. read more

I am now paying someone more money to correct and re highlight what they've done. Walked out with out paying to prove you aren't going to badger me for their poor work. If you stand by your work and "guarantee" your services then rule one of business the customer is always right. And just to prove I'm not the idiot customer, I got two professional opinions to back me up that both have said not only is my hair damaged now, the ends are ashy and now needs an additional treatment. And even better the owner is out of town so even if wanted this fixed by them I have to wait a week for her return where she will determine what needs to be done and if I should be reimbursed. Went there with pictures of what a wanted. She decided to give me a different cut. I had that look before,hence the pictures of what I wanted. She has great technique though. Don't like that she cuts, then your rolled to someone else for blow dry, then rolled Back to her to finish cut. I would rather be serviced by just 1 person, not 2. Increases the tip. Carissa kept telling me (no less than 20 times) that my hair was very "thin". Then I was told my hair is weird but she will try to make it "normal". Although I requested long layers my hair ended up being one short layer in the front (cut straight across not on an angle) and then one long layer. My hair was better off before I got the cut--now it is just awful. My hair cannot grow out fast enough. It seemed like she never cut anyone's hair EVER before. I should of known something was wrong when she looked at my hair with a perplexed looked and she said she needed to figure out what to do. Completely disappointed. The only reason I'm giving this place one star is because they don't let me give zero stars. They Would not accept a groupon as it states first time customer only which my daughter was not but I was. They would accept mine. This salon is right in my neighbourhood and we try to support the local businesses right along Renner Rd. Instead of offering any discount or anything at all to her they were abrupt to the point of rude and did not even make an attempt. In choosing that method they have lost a potential lifetime customer in both of us and I will actively NOT recommend this business to everyone I know. Bad cuts, bad color.......hair was fried from highlights being overprocessed! It was a girls worst hair dream come true!!! It will take months to repair the damage. I will say that the owner of the salon did do the right thing and refunded my money and gave me for free VERY hydrating shampoo and conditioner to try to "mend" the damage. My hair will hate me and Salon 4316 for a very long time. I also understand that the salon is named after a verse in the bible that says, " God so loved the world that he sent his only son...." I know the feeling...although I did not offer my son to the world I did sacrafice my hair! However....I know, I know it's just hair! I will get over it! read more
