I went to another lash guy for my first time about 2 years ago and he gave me obnoxious drag queen lashes that were obviously not my style and he never listened to what I liked so I went on a Yelp search and found Rene. Saw his photos and gave him a try. He mostly does 2 styles of lashes. Classic, which have the single lash application for those who want a less "full" look and then Hybrid version where he blends in the multiple-lash lashes with the Classics for those who want a fuller look. I started with Classic then moved into the Hybrids. I've been dating a guy for almost 2 months and he had no idea my lashes were not real. Rene takes his time and makes them perfect. AND on top of that his prices are great compared to the rest of the market. My lashes can last 4-5 weeks if I don't mess with them, but I probably get a little addicted to the fuller look and get fills every 2-3 weeks. I book on Vagaro app and it's super easy. Rene is awesome! At first I was a bit skeptical about a male doing lash extensions (how could a male possibly right?!) However, Rene was super understanding on what I wanted, he was WAY gentle in removing my makeup/old lashes and he was just super chill. I had never tried lashes extensions. I am very glad that my first time was with Rene. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning about how my eyelashes would look. Rene is not only certified, but is also a fantastic artist! He modified the type of eyelash and length he would use to the shape and coordination of my eye. I wasn't able to have my lashes done while at my last job and while in nursing school so whenever I get a good break or special event I get my lashes done. I have tried so many lash artists but no matter what Rene is the BEST!! I wish I was able to have them done all the time (graduation can't come sooner!) his quality is unmatched. I scheduled an appointment for today at 9am. No one was here when I arrived. I called Rene, in which he didn't answer the first time, so I e-mailed him to say I had arrived. I called him again, only to hear him sound like he just woke up and had no clue what I was talking about. Apparently he didn't remember my appointment and told me he had one at 10. I assured him I had an appointment that was confirmed by him and after a few moments he apparently found the e mail which said he marked me down for 9am. He then proceeded to tell me he'd arrive in a few minutes, which after waiting 20 minutes, he never did. I enjoy writing good reviews on services I enjoy, and this is the first time I've had to write a negative experience. I wasted my morning and didn't even get some assurance, discount, reschedule option, or apology for his mistake. It's simple: Bad costumer service. read more

I took my mom to her appointment yesterday with Rene. We got there and he was not there yet, we patiently waited for him for a few minutes. As we entered, my mom asked him if he'd like some coffee since I was going to go out to buy some for us. He proceeded to answer very rudely, "No, yo ya tengo el mio (No, I already have mine)". I later asked him a question and he ignored me as if I was not even there. He did an amazing job with my mom's eyelashes, which is why I did not put 1 star. My mom used a Groupon deal for her appointment, which is why I believe he was not happy with us. If he has this attitude with clients with Groupon or any kind of deals then he should not offer them. To put it simply, in our experience, there was horrible customer service in this business. I hope his business keeps growing and his attitude changes. read more

I've had eyelash extensions before but this was my first time getting them done by Rene and I've never been happier with the way my lashes look! I'm in love! I told Rene the kind of look I was trying to achieve and showed him a few pictures and he got it spot on and adjusted to my eyelashes and eye shape. Had great conversation - Rene is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. His shop is very cute and the bed is lined with delightful blankets that make the 2 hours laying down more bearable. I went to Rene for the first time last month and absolutely loved the results. I have had lash extensions done by 4 different people over the past year, and Rene is my favorite for quality and cost. I didn't have time to go back for a refill until last week, and surprisingly, after 6 weeks, some of the original lashes remained. In fact, they looked really good up until the 4 week mark. I will never go to another lash artist as long as I'm in the Dallas area. Rene is not on the friendliest person and QUICKEST LASH ARTIST EVER, I'm not joking I will send a pic to anyone who needs, I got my lashes done May 1st and it's June 10th I'm making my next appt for next week meaning my lashes will be on for a MONTH AND 18 DAYS. I don't know how to thank him lol everyone needs to tip him at least $100 per service because I'm over the moon happy. I've tried all the fancy places, used to to my lashes for $200 a set then tried free lancers and they were nice but would fall out in a week so NOT WORTH IT. I gave Rene a try on a random day when I was desperate for an appt and here we are a month and 10 days later I'm booking my second appt. he's seriously sooooo great my lashes took an hour and some people legit take 3-4 hours ‍ it was so quick I was almost sure they'd fall out the next day. Rene is just amazing. I chose cat-eye lashes after he showed me pictures of different eyelash styles. He did such an amazing job, and I literally get compliments on my eyes every day, even when I don't wear any makeup. Also the environment was so relaxing, I actually fell asleep for the 1.5 hours it took to do the lashes (there was a really soft cozy blanket on me).
