I've been here on two occasions for Mai, the owner of the salon. The first time I had a simple root touch up for my blonde hair, which went just fine. Now the second time is where it all went south. I told her beforehand that my hair has been bleached before and I went dark 5 months prior to this appointment. Knowing that, she proceeded to bleach my hair and assured me that she could do it. It just wouldn't be as light as it was originally. Before coming to the salon, I had long hair and by the end of it, 3/4 of my hair was burned off and different lengths. I didn't realize it at the time because she curled my hair and I assumed some hair fall out was normal. The next day I was livid and asked for a refund and she did indeed give it back. I had to go to another salon to get a haircut so my hair could at least be the same length. I didn't realize the extent of how bad it was until the hairstylist told me in order for my hair to be the same length, I would have to get a bob! Please see before photo attached for how long my hair was before if you want to get a picture of how much of my hair burned off and she still had me pay that day.. If you want bleached hair, do NOT go to her. She doesn't understand color and doesn't care about hair integrity. It took an extreme hit to my self confidence because my hair was two toned, choppy, and so damaged. If she cared about the integrity of my hair she should have did a test strand because I would never have let her put bleach on my hair if I knew it was going to break off. If you ask me, she should have her license taken away. read more

While the haircut they gave my daughter was fine (it was just a trim), they made her take off her mask during the cut. I didn't know this because I went next door to the bakery for a few minutes to put in an order, while she stayed with her grandma who was also getting her hair cut. They also had several other women in the salon take off their masks during cuts. We wouldn't have gone at all had I known they would've done this. I even called ahead of time to make sure they make everyone wear masks for COVID precautions. Don't go here if you want to avoid exposure by keeping your masks on. read more

I took my daughter here for a full set of highlights and made a 1:00 appointment the day before. My daughter had to wait for over an hour. I don't know what Tracy (the hairdresser) did but my daughters hair went from blonde to grey and very dead and dry and breaking off in chunks. Not only that but the hair dresser is throwing stuff around and being very rough with my daughter. I have NEVER had such a bad experience EVER! I have used this salon for years but I will never go bad and I do not recommend this salon to anyone. And she shoved my daughter and said just go just get out of here. read more

My friend tried bleaching my hair at home and it was extremely uneven and I didn't want to risk it even more so I went here and requested for Mai since I saw her work on here and really liked it. She was able to fix my hair and I really liked how it turned out. She was really nice and did a really good job, took her time, and told me what to do with my hair so I don't further damage it. I've also never gotten so many compliments from my friends on my hair before and so many questions asking where I got my hair done. i'm gonna preface this by saying that i usually never leave reviews but i was truly devastated after my hair appointment today please do not get your hair dyed here unless it is by mai i was recommended to this place by my friend last december who told me to request for mai i tried to book an appointment with mai at the time but she was completely booked so i agreed to let any stylist dye my hair i asked for an ashy blonde and i was pretty pleased with my results, a girl named tracy did my hair then i made another hair appointment today to do root touch ups since it has been approximately 8 months from my last hair appointment when i called i asked for tracy but i was told she doesn't work there anymore, so i agreed to let any stylist work on my hair at my appointment they started bleaching my hair and the girl bleaching my hair seems a bit concerned because my hair is pretty weak i told her that we can stop bleaching if it is too weak and i'm ok with a darker color if need be she keeps bleaching and after a while i hear frantic talking in vietnamese and everyone is coming over and looking at my hair obviously this stresses me out because i have no clue what they are saying and i'm worried about the bleach she tells me everything is ok and we are just going to wash out the bleach soon everything seems ok and then she starts blow drying my hair and i realize that a huge chunk of hair is missing one section of my hair is so short it could be compared to the length of a man's haircut from front to back a decently sized section is super short she tells me it's ok because i have a lot of hair but i'm definitely disappointed as the short hair is kind of noticeable (and when messy can get super noticeable) and i'm worried more hair will fall out like that furthermore i asked for a milk tea color and they toned my hair to look like a dark grey (still pretty but not what i asked for) on top of everything i paid 350 for the hair and 95 for treatment they encouraged me to get because my hair is weak and i was obviously concerned about it when i saw my broken hair i also drove 30 minutes to come to this salon and i was hoping to have a fresh look before college but now i'm worried about the random short hair poking through the rest of my hair i really liked this place and recommended it to all my friends after the first time but after this incident i don't think i will be coming back read more

lol dont go for men's haircuts here. Asked for a fade and basically just got my hair cot to a very short length. I didn't even get lined up in the back or the sides and it looks like I have pubic hair on top of my head, unfortunately I could've probably done a better job without any training or practice. Bad service. Grace chopped half of my hair and kept nagging that I have long hair as if it's not acceptable. I didn't say anything despite losing all my hair. I just asked her to style it so that I can see my layers stand out . But instead she offered me to show individual layers in mirror as it will take time to style it. I couldn't get over her stupid and irresponsible answer. I understand if it's more time and effort you can just charge more or can refuse to accept customers with long hair. Had a long appointment with Mai and she was amazing! She gave me the exact style I wanted, and since it was the first time I ever colored my hair, she guided me through the whole process and gave me tips on how to maintain my hair afterwards. I wish I could give this salon less than a star. I have been going to this salon for years but after today, i will NEVER go to this salon again. I was not a walk-in, I called before going in to make sure they have time. They took me in right away because the salon was empty and now I know why. The condition of the salon was TERRIBLE. The tools were GROSS! Melted bristles, every tool had layers of hair, hair all over the floor, shampoo area was another gross story, dirty towels, used gloves being reused. Then comes the service. TERRIBLE!!!! My stylist was digging through my scalp while shampooing. I had to tell her to stop as it was hurting. I kept on slipping on the shampoo chair so instead of letting me pull myself up She was pulling me up on the chair BY MY HAIR. she yanked my hair and said 'COME UP' a few times. I had to tell her to stop and I will do it myself. I didn't need her help. After that it all went down hill. The combing (or should I say YANKING) , and straightening WITHOUT any heat protectant. I have never gotten out of a salon fast enough. I still tipped the lady as she did provide me with the service. I came home with neck and head pain. And I will or any member of my family will NEVER go to this salon again. read more

I went here because somebody recommended it to me. Never have I ever been to a place and go home and have to spend an hour to fix it up myself. I went in asking for adding layers only. DO NOT take off length or mess with my shape. She razor cut everything and gave me a choppy "V" line cut. I almost cried. I told her I didn't want it pointy nor did I want it like that. So she "fixed" it by just cutting tip off. But it was squared off and still choppy. One side was even longer than the other side too. Few long strands left untouched. From $17 and up she Charged me $25 even though she jacked up my hair. I shouldn't have tipped. Came home unhappy and have to fix it myself. She took off about 3 inches at the end when I didn't even want any off!! So disappointed. Not coming back. read more

I brought in a pic of a cut I wanted but she explained due to my thin, flat hair, & that I don't do anything to my hair that cut wouldn't be what I want in her opinion. Regarding how much this place damaged my hair. At first I was just going to hair cut. Then, stylist keep telling me she can do good with Japanese miracle straight. My hair has been very well taken care of over 15 years by Korean stylist by other hair salone near Ko mart named Yuki who had a long years of training in Japan. But she moved and I could not find other good one. This lady here ruined my hair by lying she says it is Japanese miracle straight by it was not also kept lying my hair will not be damaged even color my hair. She did breach my hair and she did nog say, Damaged hair lasted over 4 years. Mai kept telling to buy karatin treatment from her only cost $70 (here is another way to sell!!! ). and now I found nice stylist in Frisco call - salon who is honest and helped me restore my hair. If you need real Japanese straight you need to go there not this lying place. Mai - the lying stylist also lied me she can take my mole from my face without cause me scar. It did. Dermatologist said he would not do it because it was middle of my cheek. It caused indentation. And skin never be the same. Also she kept selling all other thing like she can do lashes. She pulled so many my real lashes when she needed to take glue out. Instead, she was pulling it out. (Talk about pain). I finally told her I am not doing lashes anymore. Horrible! They don't listen to you, they are very dirty, the salon smelled so bad! I walked to the shampoo bar and there a was random pair shoes laying on the floor which she just kicked to side..She started washing my hair in freezing cold water. Super rough when washing my hair. She wasn't paying attention when blow drying (I have thick hair so it was a while). She used a razor to cut when I said I didn't want it thin at the bottom and specifically asked to not use a razor. I left as soon as I could without finishing the style portion. Booked an appointment at a better (hopefully) salon right after walking out. The rest of the staff was unprofessional as well. My two boys and hubby comes here twice a month and it's like family here. They remember us and how the boys like their cuts. Very fast in and out. Prices are super reasonable and my kids love the lollipops at the end! Although Vietnamese is spoken here more than English, they do understand and can respond back in English. Overall, my experience here was very poor. I had previously come in months ago to have my hair done and the result was great. But, as I came in a second time requesting for my black roots redone as sliver, I was left with dark blue hair. Firstly, they did three rounds of bleach on my hair. By the time the third round came by, I felt a great amount of heat and burning on my head. And only then did the dresser notice that I was in pain and asked if I wanted to pay extra for a treatment. And after they applied the toner and such, my hair turned a dark shade of blue. They then asked me to blow dry my own hair and left me at the station unattended. My formerly healthy sliver hair had turned navy hued and dry to the touch. The service was much less than satisfactory and I was very disappointed with the result. read more

My hair is baby fine and she knew exactly what to do with it! I walked out with full highlights, beautiful color and the MOST flattering cut I've ever had. This was my second visit to Inspired Cuts. This was one of the best/most efficient visits I have made to your average haircut place. I was able to walk in, get my hair cut with shampoo/wash, and pay within 10 minutes. I've always just gone to places like Pro-Cuts or SportClips or Fantastic Sams. They always had the same issue: I would ALWAYS leave with a ton of trimmed hair in my face. This did not happen here. Plus, the wash/shampoo was more than just that. A bit more effort was put into it and I appreciated it. If I lived closer, this would be my new place of choice for a haircut. read more

Very bad customer service. I came in and the girls here were so rude I asked for a simple trim and showed a picture of some bangs and layers and the lady I had kept saying I was confused. And couldn't do my hair like this because it would look bad with my semi wavy hair. This was ridiculous and I talked to the manager and said I'm not comfortable with the girl who was about to cut my hair and she rolled her eyes sat down in the waiting sofa they have and started texting and yelling in her language. She asked the other girl to do it and she nodded her head saying no she was not going to. Well I suppose I can't actually comment on their services. Made an appointment for 5pm. Walked in at 4:55pm and told them I had a 5pm appointment with Tracy. Tracy comes over and says she just started a color and could we come back in 30 minutes or so. So what's the point of scheduling appointments if you aren't going to honor them. I also have to wonder about the quality of cut and color if they could finish the other lady in 30 minutes. read more

I came here as a new customer and unfortunately I left this place horrified thinking this is why I dont try new places. Long story short, sat here for 4 hrs and left with green hair! No joke. Hair color had to be applied about 4x because they couldnt get it right. 2 girls pulling and trying to blow dry my hair as fast possible because it was late...As a result, I left long after closing time. Its extremely sad when you leave the salon at the same time as your stylist, but she literally ran out of there with purse in her hand and a very concerned look. The worst part wasnt the green hair, it was the price + tip I gave. I regret coming here and paying for something that noone would've been happy with.
