Warning: I been going to this location for 5 years and my hair stylist is Long! I stopped by today to get my haircut with him and found out that he's no longer there! I asked the owner if I can have his number and she didn't want to give it to me. I'm sorry but he's the only one who can cut my hair right. She didn't want to give it to me bc she wanted us to be her clients. Don't waste your time or money going here. Apparently, they have a newbie worker there and took over his place. My experience at the Blue Sky Salon has always been a positive one. In 2012 I got my 1st Japanese Thermal Straightening. It took 4 hrs which is the normal time and my hair fell straight after each and every shower. (Must wait 48-72 hrs before water touching your hair after treatment) So it worked like a charm. I would get hair cuts here about once a year. I came back in early 2017 For another straightening treatment. I don't know if they change their formula but it seemed like it was not as strong at the 1st treatment I got. I know it was the product as they did all the same steps and waiting time as last time so not their fault. I was still happy with the outcome! I bring my kiddos for haircuts as well. Over all, I like this place... I never wait more than 10 mins to get service and their prices are right on target with other hair salons. The owner is sweet and always attentive. read more

Not a bad place. I've been here a couple of times to put low-lights in my hair. My hair used to be super long, and I wanted to find a place to have blonde and red low-lights. I searched and called around, this place was the cheapest around the Garland area. It was about $40 for my low lights, the girl did a pretty good job. (forgot her name, I'm pretty bad with names) They charge about 5-10 extra dollars to "style" your hair though. Meaning they'll blow dry your hair. I was like umm, just wash my hair and I'll go home to blow dry it myself. This was back when I was still in college and rather save $10 for a good meal. Other than that, it's a good place to go to, at least for highlighting and lowlights. read more

We all have that 1 hair stylist that we keep coming back to and when some unfortunate event happens that you have to go find a new one, we stress over who's going to be doing your eyebrows or cut your hair! Trial and failure with your hair and brows are not fun! I moved to Dallas 4 years ago and a friend recommended Chi Ha (Leha). Alleluia! I found the one. I've been going to Chi Ha for the past 4 years and nobody else! I remain loyal. She does a great job at chopping off my hair every year. Got my haircut couple of days ago and have been depress since. Came in with a couple of photos and specifically said I like full thick hair. What I got was an over texturized thinning shear/razor on DRY haircut. My hair was long and thick. I simply wanted a reshape and add layers for body and movement. My hair has been butchered and thinned out. The ends are already splitting from the dry slicing. I figured the guy was eventually going to scissor cut the sliced ends at some point, since he pulled out shears onto his tray. Nope! It just kept getting shorter, thinner, sliced, and pulled on. Not to mention, he had one eye on me and the other on the tv. Has I seen what he was doing, I would've stopped him, but he was sitting down on his stool, and worked in one spot 95% of the service. Staying positive now. Hair will grow, but he had no passion or work ethic whatsoever. Never ever coming back, nor would recommend, definitely not to guy in the front left side. read more

DO NOT GO TO TINA for a BLOW OUT. - she gives you an attitude and brushes your scalp dry if you ask her to use a brush for a blow out - Her definition of a blow out is a BLOW DRY More detailed experience below. If I could put 0 stars I would. I called asking if they can do a blowout and style my hair and how much. She said yes we do. Price is starting at 15 but depends on length of hair. I have long layers and my hair 5 inches below my shoulder. So I go in. Tina greeted me and I told her I am the one who called for a blow out. She said ok hi it will be 20$. I said ok and took me to the back to wash my hair. She washed my hair and she said my hair is very dry. I need to get a seaweed or regular treatment for dry hair. The price for treatment is 25$ and blow out is 15$. So I said ok give me the regular treatment. So she gave me the treatment now I sit for my blow out and she starts to use a straightener for my hair. What?!? I told her I am here for a blow out. Not a straightening. I have straight hair I just wanted volume and my ends turned in. She says I need to straighten it. I showed her a picture from YELP of a girl who had a blow out from her SALON I asked her to use a brush and do a blow out to make the ends curl in. She got angry and took a brush and was pulling my hair through the brush in anger and not curling the end and drying it with the hairdryer. And telling me it won't curl in it won't go in. THAT'S CUZ YOU AREN'T BLOW DRYING THE ENDS IN!! Then she takes the straightener again and now she is speaking loudly in Vietnamese to the other person working there I said forget it I can go home and blow dry my hair I came for a blow out. Not a hair dry. I own a hairdryer to dry my hair. So she just blows dries my hair with two blows and says ok done. I have straight hair. Why do you use a straightener on straight hair??? Makes no sense. Worst blow out ever. If you are looking for a blow DRY or get it straightened Tina is the girl to go to but if you want a BLOW OUT DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Helen was the person that used to cut my hair but she left to a different salon. With blue sky being so close to my house I decided to just choose another hair stylist! Long is really great! He cuts it the way I like and when I say 3 inches, it's 3 inches. The place may look outdated but honestly long does such a great job that I don't even care! read more
