However, the 3rd time I came in, I had a different stylist because my original stylist was unavailable. I was charged $378 for the same services, and when I questioned their charges, I was told prices had increased since the last time I came in, and all stylists charge separately. Manager also noted the stylist spent 4 hours on my hair, but the past 2 appointments the stylist also spent 4 hours on my hair so this doesn't justify anything for me. I should have been notified before my appointment about a $128 increase in services. I had no idea I needed to ask beforehand, since I was charged the same price the previous 2 times. I also didn't receive any consultation with new stylist which would've solved many issues. I came here 3.5 months after my prev appt, but was charged significantly more than coming in after 5 months? I was even more upset after I was charged $68 for a "dusting" (cutting split ends) which was then reduced to $48, because I had come in not wanting a haircut but was pressured to by the stylist. The salon did nothing to rectify the issue - which was not notifying me of a $128 increase in prices - and instead threw me a $50 bonus to use for the NEXT time I come in. Why would I come in again, when prices might be even higher and the $50 wouldn't do anything. Nothing was done for this current appointment. Don't expect much to be done if you have complaints, and be aware of the pricing BEFORE your appointment begins, so they can't charge you extra/more after it's all done. The stylists are extremely talented, but the way the salon handled my complaints was disappointing.

My beautician retired so I didn't know anyone in area so I thought Groupon would be low risk and if I liked I'd stay with the person. I was excited and I called on a Sunday and I realize that most places are closed on Sundays but, hey, it lead to a VOICEMAIL BOX and it asked me to leave my name, number, and the name of the stylist I wanted to work with. Well, I have never been there so I had no clue who I wanted to work with, and that's what I said in the VM. So Sunday passes and then Monday passes with no return call. And I realize that most salons are closed on Mondays so I don't think much of it. So Tuesday comes along and I call again just before noon, I remember because I was watching Let's Make A Deal and my "routine" is to make all my calls in the morning, I don't call people in the p.m. as I am usually busy as the day progresses. Regardless, NO ONE RETURNS MY CALL. So now it's Wednesday, and this is what I'm thinking, this business has NO RECEPTIONIST AT ALL? This business HAS A GROUPON, but HAS NO ONE ANSWERING THE PHONE AND NO ONE TO RETURN A CALL? WHY? SURELY SOMEONE HAS LISTENED TO MY MESSAGES BY NOW!! 2 MESSAGES!! It's Wednesday afternoon! So at this point, I've lost all hope. I'm NOT calling a 3rd time because at this point it would be considered stalking. These people obviously cannot fulfill the services they advertise. I called GROUPON and politely requested a refund and also notified them of my difficulties getting a hold of this business and of the situation. I let them know what they did. So Groupon notified them on Friday. SO HERE IS THE BEST PART, GUESS WHO FOUND THE TIME FINALLY TO CALL ME AND OFFER ME AN APPOINTMENT (AFTER I REQUESTED A REFUND FROM GROUPON) ON FRIDAY???? GALLERY HAIR STUDIO!!!! ONE WEEK AFTER MY INITIAL VM! The first girl acted like there was nothing wrong, " hi, we were wondering if you were still interested?"...I asked why did it take you so long to call me? and she said " oh we only got your Tuesday VM" so from that I knew they already spoke to Groupon. She handed me to the owner who was like " yeah? ". Completely unapologetic and actually PUT THE BLAME ON ME!!! All i did was buy HER GROUPON and CALL TO SCHEDULE and because I left a VM at an inconvenient time for her it was my fault that no one called me back!! She was AWFUL! She said usually people schedule directly with the beauticians they want. I said but I don't know them! That's why you have the GROUPON, to meet them! She said, she's not fully staffed cause of covid. I said , then don't have a groupon if you can't fulfill it!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! Thankfully Groupon was kind enough to offer a full refund and I am going to a legit place that at least has a receptionist.
