This has been the best salon experience ever! Felene was so thorough with every detail. Down to the color and to the haircut it was perfection! I asked for some highlights in my hair that was delivered perfectly. As for the haircut I wanted to keep my length as much as possible but wanted to add some layers. This was my first time visiting Salon 1670 and I had a wonderful first impression! The owner, Tori, keeps her place looking CLEAN and CUTE! There is a comfortable seating area to one side and an evenly spaced seating area for appointments on the other end, well lit via salon lighting or there is plenty of natural lighting as well. I booked an appointment through SAM!!! She is AMAZING!!!! She paid very close attention to DETAIL to know exactly what look I was going for, while also considering my prior hair treatments, etc. Since I was going for a drastic change, including BLEACH, Sam even took the time to consult with me some options as well as TREATMENT for hair care! She is SO HELPFUL! My hair turned out so CUTE! I was very happy with Sam's work, as she was able to turn my dark black hair into a mature ROSE GOLD with a unique hint of PURPLE, which looks even more vibrant in the natural lighting!!! I just had my first (of many) appointments at Salon 1670. It was fantastic. It was refreshing to not be in a salon with a ton of stylists with all the dryers going and overlapping chatter. I had such a relaxing and peaceful time getting my hair done with all the attention on me :) My stylist, Tori, offered me a cold drink (it was 90 degrees that day), snacks, etc. It reminded me of those fancy salons in the city that give you champagne at 11am....but it was in Pacifica I have been going to Tori for a very long time and was so happy to hear of her and fellow hair guru, Shalana's new spot. The salon is so beautiful, sparkles everywhere. The atmosphere was top notch. And of course, the hair was amazing! I absolutely hate leaving a bad review, but I had a very poor experience with having my hair done by Tori. She was very nice, but I definitely did not have a very professional experience. Multiple reschedules and running late texts. When I got home from the salon after having my hair done and brushed my hair, I noticed that the front was very orange and brassy. I tried to use purple shampoo, but was not able to lift the color. I texted Tori to let her know (and sent pictures) and tried multiple times to come in and see her to have it fixed. She was not able to accommodate/offer me an appt time and unfortunately I'm pretty unhappy with my hair and would not go back in the future. I hate leaving a poor review, but definitely want people to know that it is unlikely that you will be able to have your hair fixed if you are unhappy with it. I definitely think that she has potential to improve in the future with better communication. read more

I had an excellent experience getting my hair done by the Shalana, the owner of the salon. I went in thinking that my hair was incredibly damaged and that I would need to chop inches off. After looking at my hair, Shalana was able to identify that my hair's main concern was just that my ends were very dry, from when I had previously bleached my hair. After trimming my hair she suggested a nourishing oil, and instead of giving me a sales pitch, she generously gave my a sample. The product turned out to be just what my hair needed, and my hair looks healthier than it has in years. The salon itself is beautiful, modern, and clean. Its exactly what Pacifica needed, and I'm guessing it will do very well here. read more

If you're a newbie or not a "local from Pacifica" good luck trying to get an appointment. They are hard to get a hold of, even through text. When I was graced with a second to talk to someone (spoke to someone about 3 times) to try and figure out an appointment, the woman had short responses, seemed uninterested and just down right rude and money hungry, I was quoted different prices every time I would speak with her and she got rude with me over her inconsistency. I saw Miss a few weeks back, she was able to fit me in pretty quickly and she did an amazing job with my blonde! It was difficult enough making the appointment with Missy at Salon 1670 but what happened when I got to the salon was so unprofessional. My appointment was at 1pm and I was texted at 12pm to tell me they were running 30 minutes late. When I arrived, I was told that Missy was running another 15 minutes behind. At 2pm I still was not in the chair and the client was not done. I was offered no apology and only told to continue to wait. I do not recommend this salon especially when there are so many options out there where the customers time is respected. Upon walking in I was given a robe (which is way cuter then those usual smocks) and a beverage to my liking. I got the sparkling cucumber lemon water ummm yummm...
