This is still my place for a cut, 7 years now! I really appreciate that they have added free Wi-Fi, with a 25 MB connection. I messed up my schedule and Jan was happy to take me if I could wait 15 to 20 minutes. Sweet! read more

We were looking for a local place for a nice and simple cut! Everyone was great. My daughter loves her new haircut length. We will be back! read more

The Cut Scene - First time here! We are so pleased! The ladies were all so friendly and professional. My daughter loves her new cut! - Hair Salons Near Me - Pacifica, California

Horrible, horrible service. I came in yesterday just for a simple haircut, and I see both of the ladies in there are busy, no problem, I thought. Than a lady comes up to me and asks if I've been helped, and I told her I had an appointment. She said some lady was doing my hair (I don't remember her name) and I sat back down, waiting and waiting. I ended up waiting 25 minutes and I was still waiting to get my haircut. No one was even talking to my mom and I, and we ended up getting ignored the whole time. I don't mean to be rude, but everyone in there besides my mom and I were old, like grandma and grandpa old. I'm sorry I'm young, but that doesn't mean I should be treated any differently than everyone else. My mom and I ended up walking out after waiting in there for 30 minutes and I never got my haircut cause I was tired of waiting, and no one seemed like they wanted to do my haircut anyway. I'll think twice about coming here, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I forgot to write a review a year and a half ago when we got my 10 month old son's hair cut here. He had a crazy amount of hair and couldn't even really sit up on his own yet but Jan did a great job on his hair and was very patient with him and us as he had to sit on my husbands lap. Speed ahead to today when his twins sister at 2 1/2 finally went in for her first haircut. I was a little nervous because she's so young and isn't great at sitting still. Jan also cut her hair and was still extra patient and was able to give her a great cut even with my daughter bouncing all around the chair. It looks great! I highly suggest taking young children here they do a great job and have a lot of patience and even a cute little play area. read more

The Cut Scene - Really cute car chair for kids. - Hair Salons Near Me - Pacifica, California

I've been going to Tracy at the Cut Scene for years and have never been disappointed. She is friendly and funny and very talented. She is always going to hair shows and learning new cuts and I feel like she stays on top of the trends. I always get a lot of compliments on my hair after she works her magic. Recently I took my daughters to see Jan and Marcie and they did fabulous jobs. Jan spent an hour cutting my 5 year olds hair because my daughter wanted a specific hair style. Jan took her time and didn't try to rush a thing. The results were fantastic. Tons of people asked me where she had it cut. The best thing about this place is that they really listen to what I ask for and they always give me what I want read more

Loved: the actual haircut experience. Neutral: appointment intake process. They are really good with kids. I wasn't sure at first but both times I went, the hairstylists lit up once they started working. It's always so nice to see people enjoy what they do. read more

I was the owner for over seven years and now a very satisfied customer of the Cut Scene for over fifteen, and I have yet to find a better cosmologist then Janice Mayers. Aside from her excellent work, she has been a true friend and accomplished business woman. I would urge anyone looking for a great beauty salon and some excellent cosmetologists in addition to Jan, to visit and try the Cut Scene. read more

Tracy is awesome!!!!!!! I'm sooooo happy my friend referred me to her!!!!!! I have never been so happy with my hair. For years, hairstylists have made excuses why I can't have what I want and I have spent a fortune on my hair to just look so-so. I understand that I have difficult fine hair and I want to wear it platinum blonde with layers. However, the first time I went to Tracy it was perfect. She had a lot to correct with the color and cut but some how she managed to fix everything. My husband and I couldn't believe it. I feel Tracy is a very technical stylist and keeps up with current trends. She really listens to what you want and she is always educating herself which shows in her work. Everyone in the salon is very friendly and I always enjoy going to get my hair done!!!! read more

Another thing I miss about Pacifica is Jan at The Cut Scene! She's great. I have curly hair which I am nervous about letting just anyone cut. She listens to exactly what you request and never goes overboard. She's got a lot of happy clients, its a friendly salon. She has good hours too so you can go after work. Jan, I miss you! read more

Last year I recommended another salon in Pacifica - they were good but I have found an even better hair stylist here at The Cut Scene... My way too short hair had grown out to the point that I could no longer stand it so I decided to check out salons in Pacifica that have Yelp reviews... Well the reviews for The Cut Scene are so good, I decided to give it a try - and I am so glad I did. Marcy gave me an awesome cut for an incredibly low price... she took her time, listened to what I said I wanted and created a cut just for me that softens my face, is feminine and not too short, and can be worn with or without blowdrying! What more could I ask for? Thanks Marcy! And thanks to the Yelp reviewers because the reviews for this salon are so good, I decided to try it out! You should give them a try, too - another great reason to live in Pacifica! read more

This review is for Tracy! I have been going to her about 3 years and LOVE her! I have long hair and she is always mindful about chopping off too much (yet still keeping it healthy). She is awesome with highlights and lowlights and does is a great job of blending to make it look very natural. She most recently did balayage on my hair and its my favorite things she has done yet! I searched forever for a hair stylist in SF and most of them were ridiculously overpriced and not good! I send all my friends to Tracy and they love her too! You won't be disappointed! read more

Got a haircut from Marcy today. For the first time in my life I left a hair salon really satisfied. Marcy did a great job she really took her time to cut my hair the way I wanted it to be. Prices are very good. read more

My wife and I had some time to ourself on our latest vacation to San Fransisco, and as we stayed in the Pacifa Beach Hotel, we decided to trust Yelp to find a reasonably priced place to tame our manes :-) . As usual, Yelp steered us right! We met Tracy - and she did a great job and we had a great talk - as we are from Germany we think it was cheap ;-) - as we will be in SF next we year we will most definitely be going back. read more

Low prices, great stylists, easy to get an appointment, it just doesn't get any better than this! I had my hair cut and colored by Marcy. She did a fabulous job! She even straightened for me. I will definitely be a repeat customer!! read more

I am new to Pacifica and am happy to say that I found the person I want to do my hair: Jan! She did an excellent job with my highlights and corrected other stylists' mistakes and I now have perfect highlights! I cannot wait to go back for my haircut in 2 weeks. read more

I have been getting my haircut here for most of my life; I have tried many other placesand stylists but always end up back here. Super friendly atmosphere and you're in good hands no matter which stylists you get. Can't beat the prices either....5 stars...make it 6 :) read more

Jan has been my hair stylist since 1999. I get my hair colored and trimmed every 5 to 6 weeks, and she does a great job with the color and style. She listens, and makes sure she understands what I want. I've also had my hair styled by Marcy for a special event and she did a great job. Tracy has never worked on my hair, but she is always friendly to me, and since Jan's chair is next to Tracy's, I hear how much attention Tracy gives to all of her clients as well. read more

I love this salon! Tracy has done my hair for the past 3 years and she is professional and friendly each time. Her prices are reasonable , but she is popular, so if you want to see her, make sure that you call ahead! read more

It took us a while to find a place that would not butcher my son's difficult to cut straight hair. We absolutely LOVE Jan! She always takes her time to make sure the hair looks "natural" and not choppy, always makes sure "mom is happy" with the end result :) and is very friendly when dealing with our son. I am thrilled to have found a place near by that is able to completely satisfy our needs. Thanks, Jan! read more

I have been going to the Cut Scene since moving to Pacifica. I love the service, Tracy is fantastic and I am always thrilled when I leave the salon. She is fantastic with both color and cuts. She just knows what the best look is for you. I would continue going even if I didn't live in the neighborhood. read more

Jan is amazing. I first came to her about 7 or 8 years ago. My hair had been butchered from attending cosmetology school by a fellow student. I went to other so called professional hairdressers for a fix n I ended up with the mullet effect. When I first came to jan it was obvious that I had PTSD with my hair, but then she touched my hair with these magic hands n it began to grow. She can shape n blend my hair without over cutting or over thinning. Not only is the cut scene staffed with pure talent but they're products are the best I've tried... And u can't find them elsewhere. They sell professional products by independent companies. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by The Cut Scene. I've been getting my hair cut in San Francisco, at Blade Runners, for years but wanted to find a place closer to home in Pacifica. I saw Marcie and she was fantastic. She was quiet at first, but I think she was super focused on what she was going to do with my cut and color. She warmed up considerably after a while and gave me a meticulous haircut and great color and highlights for $125, which is considerably less than I'm used to paying. read more

Jan and staff at the Cut Scene are the best, especially Tracy. Everytime I walk out of the Cut Scene I'm so happy with my hair. My poor head has been through some tough times (at the present time, due to a stroke I am supersensitive on my left side) but Tracy made sure that during the color process that I was ok. It's so nice going to a shop where everyone knows what they are doing and are professional about it. If you really want good customer service and great hair professionals then you have to check out the Cut Scene - you will not be disappointed. read more

Best hair stylist in town!! Jan, Owner is the greatest. She is there to please you. 5 stars from me.

Well, I'll write a review although it might make it harder for me to get an appointment! The folks at Cut Scene have cut all of our hair - hubby, son and me. Color too. They deserve great shout-outs from their "regulars" as much as we'd like to keep them for ourselves! read more

I've lived in Pacifica for nine years and I contnued to have my son's and my hair cut in SF. NOT ANYMORE! My son really wanted ahaircut, but with his tight schedule I didn't have time to take him into the city. While gettinghis teethe cleaned up the street, we looked in the Pacifica Directory and found The Cut Scene. Marci was wonderful to my son. He was able toopen up to her and express what he wanted. something, he NEVER did before to his stylists. MEanwhile, I entertained my toddler with the knick knacks at the kids play table. When he got in the carmy said, "Marci is my favorite! We're going back there again." After dropping my son off to a game, I came back to get a trim and style from Jan. She was wonderful. She took her time, great personality, and talented. Though my toddler was preoccupied with a bottle, Marci took the time to play with him without me next to him. This is something he rarely does. In the proceeding days, My son and I received numerous compliments for our hair. I can't rave more about this place. The energy was great, the price is right, and the service was the best! read more
