I've been living in San Francisco for a decade and haven't found a go-to salon until now. Most hairdressers charged an arm and a leg... My friend recommended Eason, and the process of booking an appointment was swift and easy. I easily scheduled a hair cut with Eason on Sunday afternoon. When I arrived, they washed my hair. Then Eason asked me for what I'd like and did a fantastic job for a layered haircut with curtain bangs. He also gave me tips on blow drying and applying hair oil. Thanks Eason and team!
First time at Perfect Style Hair Design & Mike did a fantastic job listening to my requests and what I wanted! I asked for a root touch up, and he picked the perfect color to match my lighter ends so it doesn't look too different. Very clean salon and everyone was super friendly. I would highly recommend and would love to come back!
I had such an amazing experience here! I called last minute and they got my daughter in the same day. The price was honestly unbelievable super affordable but the quality was top tier. It was my daughter's very first haircut, and they made it the best experience ever for her. I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who cut her hair because he was truly 10/10. So patient, so kind, and he did such an amazing job. We will definitely be coming back and I'll make sure to get his name next time. Highly recommend this place!
I was sold on the beautiful photos but was naive to think all their hair stylists would be able to produce the same high quality work. I came for a balayage and my stylist was S. We looked at the Yelp photos from their salon and mutually agreed on a past clients photo as the inspiration. He worked on my hair for 5-6 hours. Haircut and wash included. At some point during the appointment after foiling my hair, they said they did it wrong and had to unfoil, recolor, and refoil my hair. This was a bit unprofessional and unnecessarily time consuming. Outcome: -- Hair was more blonde than the photo -- I have one patch in the back that's very blonde -- He used product that created a terrible burning sensation on my scalp. And when I raised the flag, he said it's supposed to feel burning. I've had balayage done before and never had this burning feeling. -- When I got home I noticed dried bits of product on my scalp and hair that wasn't properly washed out. This was a turn off. -- They got hair dye on the back collar of my shirt. -- The vibe is very Chinese, meaning the stylists all speak Chinese and English is not strong so you may find it difficult to communicate. -- Overall, it's a clean studio. I contacted them after the appointment: They apologized for the scalp burning but again said it's part of the process. They agreed to pay for the damages on my shirt. For the half a grand I spent, I expected a better experience. Go to this salon at your own risk. If you do, I hope you get a good stylist. I'm sure their nice photos are all from the same stylist.
I had my hair highlighted and it was amazing!!! I love how the color turned out and it wasn't what I expected but it took by surprise! The area was chill and relaxing to be in. It was 4 gentlemen and a lovely lady who worked there and all of them worked as a team to get each other's clients fixed up. I love that!! Thank you to Leon who did my hair! Will be back for the retouch and colors soon! One thing they should add: a book of colors to choose from instead of asking what we expect. Just a hint.
I hate writing bad reviews and never write one for a salon but I'm pretty disappointed in my results. I came here in September 2025. I liked the way my hair looked after it was done but it was SO brassy after 3 weeks and a few washes. I tried using purple shampoo and it didn't work so I tried blue shampoo and still nothing. Just surprised how fast the color faded and I paid so much to get it bleached. Also I told them I didn't want a hair cut and the guy said he's only going to cut a little, I think for his picture lol . I was fine with it but I didn't think he would charge me additional for a haircut that I didn't even want.
I had a great experience getting my hair colored here. The stylist took time to understand what I wanted and gave honest, professional advice about which shades would work best with my hair and skin tone. The coloring process was very careful and comfortable--no scalp irritation at all--and the color turned out even, natural, and better than I expected. It looks great in different lighting and still feels healthy and soft, not dry. Overall, a very professional and pleasant experience. I'll definitely come back for future touch-ups or color changes, and I highly recommend this place! Btw, I love their hair oil sooooo much！
This is my second time coming here to get babylights and I couldn't be happier with the results. I used to always make an hour trek to San Jose to get my hair colored and I'm so happy I found a place closer to home. I always ask for Eason for my appointments. He'll do his best to get you to your desired color but won't risk hair breakage. I see myself coming back here as a regular for all my hair needs.
I recently moved back to San Francisco and used the Yelp app to find a salon--and I'm so glad I found Perfect Hair Style and Design! Eason reached out to me right away to ask about the cut and color I was looking for, and he was able to book me in immediately. His communication was excellent, and he really understood my vision after I shared photos of my current hair and my goal. The salon has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is so nice and friendly, and I love how the staff all help each other out--it truly feels like a family. They speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, which makes it a great place for a diverse range of clients. Eason is amazing! He's super friendly, fast, and efficient, and I couldn't be happier with my hair. The salon itself is modern, updated, and very clean. I will definitely be coming back for future visits. Highly recommend!
Eason did a wonderful job blending my old pink peekabo hair to a more natural ash brown style. I'm so greatful he was able to take my inspo and make my hair look exactly the same! He was also very honest about what could and could not be done considering I didn't want to do more damage to my hair. He also spent a lot of time fine tuning the color and making sure everything blended perfectly. I've been to him for haircuts previously and it was my first time getting color done here. Will definitely be back

I recently moved to the Bay area and was looking around for a new hairdresser for grown out balayage. I came across this salon and my friend has told me about it so I thought I would give it a try. Eason, the hairstylist, was amazing! He made sure he was thorough w/ all the steps and my hair came out so good! The salon is also clean and all the other employees were very nice; they even gave me a tiny fan for the toner smell incase it gets too strong! Overall, amazing staff and close to where I live, would definitely come back again! (: read more

First time getting hair colored, did it for post partum mom makeover. My stylist rushed through my coloring and it looks like I have stripes in my hair. Did this maybe 10 days ago? Actually uploaded this to ChatGPT and it scored the stylist a 6/10 on blending. read more

couldn't be happier with my hair! From start to finish, the experience was amazing. They really took the time to understand what I wanted and made it even better than I imagined. The cut is so flattering, the color is vibrant and dimensional, and my hair feels incredibly healthy and soft. What I appreciate most is the attention to detail. Nothing felt rushed, and every step was explained along the way. I've gotten so many compliments already! If you're looking for someone who truly listens and delivers beautiful, high quality results, I highly recommend booking with them. I'll definitely be back! read more

I absolutely love coming here. I've been coming to this salon for the past 8 years, and this was actually the place that dyed my hair for the very first time. Since then, I've only trusted this salon with my hair, and I always leave beyond satisfied. I usually get balayage, and I'm obsessed with how natural it looks, even as the color fades over time. It always grows out beautifully and never looks harsh. Everyone at the salon is amazing, and you can really feel the teamwork and positive energy. I genuinely recommend any of the hair specialists here, they are all incredibly skilled. read more

I first started coming to Eason in 2023 after looking for someone near San Francisco who does balayages, and I'm so glad to have found this salon! Now I come every time I need a color or a cut. Eason and his team are very meticulous with everything they do, from taking their time with the wash and haircut to making sure that the color is the perfect shade. Their friendliness and professionalism is unmatched, and they make sure you feel cared for. They also give tons of recommendations on how to best style your hair. Highly HIGHLY recommend this salon to anyone! read more

I went in not knowing what to expect. The place was clean, great and amazing lighting. The vibes were nice. I had an appointment at 10:30 for a hair cut, went in not knowing what I wanted so I asked for a trim and to have some side bangs. took 5 hours for the straight perm but it was worth it bc my hair was so silky feeling and pin straight after! note, my hair is usually really coarse, frizzy, and wavy. and the straight perm really just helped calm everything down and made it so much more manageable for me to get ready now. this was my second time coming here and will be coming back again for all my hair needs! read more

This is the first time I've done anything to my hair-I have no regrets with this digital perm with Eason. I have stick straight hair and now I'm just happy to have more body and waves in my hair. Eason also cut my hair beforehand maintaining the length!! I will definitely be back. Everyone in the salon is so friendly as well! read more

I went to Perfect Style Hair Design for a cut and color with Eason, and I really love the end result--his haircutting skills are amazing and the color looks great overall. He was very busy during my appointment, which made the process a bit less smooth, but he took the time to fix the roots when I pointed it out. I appreciate his effort, and despite the slight color variation in the sun, I'm happy with how my hair turned out. Eason is definitely talented, just in high demand! read more

I have been coming to this salon for the past 3 years and I can't go anywhere else now to get a haircut! Everyone here is hardworking and attention to detail. I always go to Simon and he knows how to give me the best haircut for my hair profile. I have thick Asian hair and I used to struggle to find a hairstylist that wouldn't over-thin or over-layer my hair too much to the point where it felt like I had half as much hair and one that would give enough layers so it wouldn't feel heavy and grow out nicely! BUT Simon always cut my hair with a balance of enough beautiful long layers that keep my hair looking full while making it feel lighter! It also always grows out so well (4-6 months) where you can still see the layers (straight or curled!) read more
My first visit was only a cut & tone with him. And it's time for a refresh. This was the first time getting a balayage from Eason and he worked his magic. He really knows what he is doing. He is worth the wait, he will really take time to perfect your hair. The results are very close to the sample picture that I showed him. Thank you! read more

I came here because it was recommended by two of my friends even though I lived really far. I booked this appointment about 3 days beforehand and around the holidays (so I was really thankful to hear that there were openings.) I wanted a haircut and balayage. Goal was to go from my very long brown (now brassy) balayage to medium length, ash brown. I have dark Asian hair and many people had told me I could not go very light without multiple sessions. Eason was great and was realistic with me when I showed him a picture I wanted. He promised to go as light as possible without damaging my hair. And he did two bleaching sessions in one sitting and was able to get my hair down to a 8.5/9 which is as light as he said I could go. While most of the staff speak predominantly Cantonese and Mandarin, Eason's English is great and he was very attentive when I needed something and couldn't communicate it well in my broken Chinese. He also warned me when products might cause a burning sensation and checked in to make sure the foiling process wasn't painful. I really trust his expertise, and all of the staff were so nice and attentive. It was a 5.5-6 hour process for me, and the price was very reasonable. I am extremely thankful for the service and expertise and would happily drive the 2 hours again in the future. read more
