I've been going to Henry every couple of months for my hair, I've never had any complaints and I always leave satisfied! I used to have really long hair, almost down to my butt kind of long, and last week I finally worked up the courage to cut it. I originally wanted to go really short, but Henry suggested not going too drastic right away, and I'm so glad I listened to him. He helped me ease into a shorter style that still feels like me! Now my hair sits a little under my shoulders, with the back slightly longer and I love it so much!! It's been such a nice change, especially with my schedule. I rushed over after being told they could accommodate my daughter. I was very clear that she has thick, curly hair, and was assured they could do a dry cut, wash, and blow-dry. When we arrived, the stylist took one look at my daughter's hair and said she could only do the cut, explaining that washing and drying would take too long and would cost more. I told her that was fine and asked for the price. She then shook her head and said it was "too much hair" and that she couldn't do it at all. I reached out and was able to get an appointment for the following week. On the day of, I was seen by Chau, who has excellent instincts about what needs to be done. Save your money--and your hair--go anywhere else. Tin, the stylist, was very friendly, and I understand everyone can have an off day. I asked for a simple trim and blond highlights but left with uneven, choppy layers and grey-tinted highlights. When I went back, the manager/owner Winnie admitted it wasn't what I asked for yet refused even a partial refund, only offering to "fix" it herself. I wasn't asking for more work from them--I just wanted my money back so I could have the cut corrected elsewhere. Instead, sections of my hair were left just a few inches long, leaving a pixie as the only option and years of growth gone. If you want the cut or color you actually asked for, this is not the place. --------- In response to the comment below: While I appreciate that Tin spent a considerable amount of time with me, the final result was not what I requested. I asked for a simple trim and blond highlights, but left with uneven, choppy layers and highlights that looked grey-toned rather than blond. When I came into the salon, I did not have layers--so if the salon gave me layers, that is not a trim. The service came out to over $300, which makes the outcome and lack of resolution even more disappointing. I voiced my concerns about the color before I left the salon, but did not notice how choppy the cut was until after I showered--because Tin is a very skilled blowout stylist. After that first shower, I sent my initial email to the salon explaining the issue. When I returned, both Tin and Winnie acknowledged that the cut was not what I had asked for. At that point, I requested a refund because I did not feel comfortable having anyone at the salon cut more off my hair after the initial result. My intention was never to "take advantage" of anyone's time. I simply wanted the cost of the unsatisfactory service refunded so I could have the work corrected elsewhere. A partial refund would have been a fair resolution--yet is it the client's responsibility to propose that, or the salon's? Finally, posting my personal information publicly in your response is another example of how this salon does not value its customers or their privacy. Customer satisfaction is important, but in my case the service did not meet expectations, and my concerns were not handled appropriately. read more

I showed the stylist a reference photo of exactly what I wanted, but he didn't look at it carefully and did not follow it at all. The final result was completely different from the picture I showed him. My hair was ruined to the point that I had to go to another salon afterward and pay again just to get it fixed. I called ahead to schedule an appt for my mom. My mom puts very little effort/$ into her looks, but she's been wanting to do something with her thin flat hair and was struggling figuring out what would look good on her. I needed to find a place that would help my mom figure out a style and new look, so I put my faith in this place. I arrived with my mom and Tin welcomed us into the store. She asked my mom what she was looking for, but my mom didn't know. All she knew was she wanted to keep her bangs. Tin suggested cutting her hair to her shoulders since majority of it was dead (as my mom was prepared to do since she knew that). She then asked if my mom wanted to dye it and my mom said no, however I thought she should. If she wanted a refresher and a new look/style then she had to do more than just cut it. My mom was open and Tin told me she would bring out her natural color. I left and nearly 3 hours later my mom was finished. I was VERY impressed and thought my mom looked put together, happy, and younger. I was a bit blown away by the price $350 + 20% tip ($420) but I'm typically frugal and never spend much on looks so I have no clue how much hair can cost. Seeing my mom's expression and how great she looked, I decided it was a worthwhile investment and gift. My mom said she needed time to get used to it cause it was more blonde than she wanted or has ever been, but everyone agrees that she looks great and she is liking it more each day. She's not sure what maintenance will look like and is worried about dark roots looking ugly against such a blonde color, but we'll see how it goes. She was also worried it wouldn't look nearly as good when it wasn't curled/styled, but it actually looks really good even without a blow dry! The only reason this is not 5 stars is because of the price. A bit too expensive imo, but well worth doing once. Otherwise, the service, time and attention were on point! Thanks, Tin! So she cuts my hair and puts the mask on after she takes over 6-7 other clients while leaving me on the corner with the dryer, I SPEND 5 hours and 30 mins and my hair was no where finish because she chose to do someone else hair I cried and I told her that it was ridiculous 5 hours and a shitty hair cut that was supposed to be layers looks like a 5 yrs cut it and my hair never got fully flat iron so the treatment won't work as it supposed to be and still charge me full Price, never again. read more

I was looking to get a quick trim somewhere local and stumbled upon stellar reviews for Lux Image Salon online. I called the salon Thursday at noon to see if there were any walk-ins, and was told there was availability at 4:30PM. Parking: Parking is super easy, the salon is nestled between Starbucks and Walgreens in Westlake Shopping Center so it's a very convenient location if you're trying to run errands before/after. The Space: The salon is very clean and open. They also keep a wide selection of hair products in the front of the store. I checked in with the front desk and was sat within 10 minutes of arriving to the salon. Expertise: Chau did a fantastic job with my haircut. She added some subtle layers and recommended going a little shorter in length to add more fullness to my hair. She also gave me some advice on hair styles that work best as a low-maintenance girl who does little to no styling on the day-to-day. Pricing: Haircuts for long hair (which includes shampoo, cut, & blow dry) is $60 which I found fair for pricing in the area and quality of the cut. Overall, I had a great time chit-chatting with Chau. She knows exactly what she's doing, made me feel comfortable in the salon chair, and gave me great styling tips. No wash/shampoo but maybe that's not included so it could've been on me. I'm obviously not a professional but I felt like it it were wet maybe it would've been a better, even cut. The one thing i really didn't like is they take out their phones and take a picture of your hair before and after and some in the mirror. They didn't ask they just started taking pictures. I was really uncomfortable with that but kinda froze. The pictures were already taken. If they asked I would've politely declined. Had the best experience at Lux Image Salon. $350 not including tip, my hair is looooong and thick, I had bleached highlights and toning and a treatment 1. Service was great, the salon is comfortable and relaxing, I did go on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded but there's definitely a good amount of space between chairs. Hair appointments are looooong and Tin realised that I might be hungry, and offered cup noodles Winnie also went out of her way to pack me a birthday goodie bag with a bunch of samples for my hair. 2. Responsive and Patient! Winnie, the owner of the salon responded so quickly to my many questions and didn't sound impatient at all. She assigned Tin to do my hair and she was amazing, she took her time to listen to my needs and desires and didn't rush the process. She was very patient and chill. 3.
