There are times where they are filling shelves from carts full of boxes while there are carts trying to navigate crowded isles, but mid my occasional frustration, I try to think about what the shelves would look like if they were not trying to keep them stocked. We have found that employees in general and even those working in specific areas (such as produce) are helpful when we ask them questions. There could be more cashiers sometimes to reduce the lines, but it is a very crowded store.

While initially I gave a 1 star review, I will escalate it to 4 due to the management following up and compensating me in full, and then some.

Saturday, August 16, 2025…read more Yesterday, as I was flying home to Palm Springs, my Provo Doctor placed an order at this location. At SLC Airport, I called CVS ... to reroute the order to the CVS near my home in SoCal. I was unable to speak with someone but did leave a voice mail. (Thinking nobody at CVS would return my call). So, ready for this? Within twenty minutes, a CVS staff member returned my call ... discussed the details of the order ... and confirmed the order will be transferred immediately to the CVS in SoCal. That being said, there are a lot of other grocery stores in Orem of varying degrees in size from large regional and local chains to smaller independent stores, but my preference after shopping them all is Smith's. I like that they have the Kroger staples I am used to, like Simple Truth Organics. Even though the store is quite small in square footage they have, for the most part, all the items I need. I do hope they continue to expand the natural and organic selections though. But what really keeps me coming back week after week is the interactions with the employees. From the pharmacy, to the check-out clerks, to the service desk. Every single time, I am greeted with a smile, a genuine desire to help and polite, friendly conversation.
