So I've been looking forward to trying this dum sum food truck for awhile. When it moved to Silver…read moreMoon Brewing, my husband picked up our large order of har gow (shrimp dumpling), shu mai, bbq pork bun and pork/veg dumplings. If you've never had dim sum before, you may enjoy it more than I did here. I grew up eating dim sum and have missed it dearly since we moved. Gar gow: 2/5* skin wasnt chewy enough, small amount of shrimp inside Shu mai: 1/5* I believe this has been through worst shu mai I've ever had. It was smaller and the meat appeared to be over mixed and dense, with some odd chunks of pork and lacked the plump, fatty pork im used to. Bbq pork bun: prob one of the best things we had. The dough was soft but little denser than I'm used to. The filling was decent. 4/5 Pork dumplings: surprisingly good. Meat and veggie seasoned well. I just didn't understand the sweet chili dipping sauce that came with it.. it masked the flavor of the dumplings. I prefer soy vinegar sauce. 4/5 Honestly, I felt some of the dim sum felt frozen store bought like. But perhaps they make it and freeze it before steaming? I hope they make it but I just didn't care for it.

Bi-bim-bops mostly but also some other goodies such as Korean spiced tots and a Korean corn dog. First impressions: when the menu says spicy, the food will be. Not blisteringly so but for those with a low tolerance, take heed. Five dishes ordered and promptly delivered by Door Dash - all good. - Tots: very nice, comes with two dipping sauces, both tasty. - Vegan chicken bi-bim-bop (#3): I've never had fake chicken until now and it works about as well as fake beef (Beyond, Impossible). Which is to say, quite passable. Beyond the fake chicken, the dish itself is very good. Bop sauce (in a separate tub) is tasty if a touch sweet. - Chinese cabbage salad: Excellent. I could eat this all day. - Bop dog: a Korean-inspired corn dog. The epitome of fusion, I guess. Pretty good with a nice panko coating. If you like corn dogs, you'll probably like it. - Beef bi-bim-bop (#1): Excellent. Well seasoned beef with very well done veggies and soft-boiled egg, including kim chi. Overall, I'd say Bop Culture has hit it out of the park in a town somewhat lacking in Asian-inspired cuisine (although it's getting better). Highly recommended.

I like the fact that they offer modern style Korean food as well like Corn Cheese, Hot Dog and Vegan Bibimbap! I've ordered different things from them a couple of times. Our favorites so far are Hot dog, pork belly Bossam, ZZ bop (vegan Bibimbap with fake chicken), and kimchi dumplings!! The Bop miso sauce is amazing too!! I know some of you wouldn't like their food because it's not traditional Korean food to you. Also some of you wouldn't like their food because it's way too authentic and traditional like their banchan. I know because I'm in the food business! Give it a try yourself and see what they are all about!

I started with the chicken potstickers, which I enjoyed, though I thought they were cooked a little bit much as they were quite hard but very tasty. The sauce that they provided with them didn't seem to fit exactly, but it wasn't a deterrent. I went with the meatball for, and it came out like you would expect. I would say that I was slightly disappointed with the amount of meatballs in the broth, which seemed to be two or three less than I would've expected, and they didn't provide much in the way of the bean sprouts or other accoutrement to add to it. That said, those weren't bummers, just something of note. Lastly, the mango smoothie was tasty and served as a nice dessert zipper into the evening.

There are only a handful of Vietnamese restaurants in Bend. Pho Viet & Cafe was last on the list of…read morepho places I wanted to try. There was no particular order I wanted to try them in, it's just how the cards fell. Pho Viet & Cafe has a large selection of items ranging from traditional pho, cold noodle dishes, and Hue-style Bun Bo Hue. They even have banh mi sandwiches which seemed on the very pricey side for my liking. What stood out were non-traditional pho dishes like duck and shrimp. I made a mental note to try those in the future. My daughter and I ordered two bowls of the standard pho dishes. Now, this is where things get confusing. I actually wasn't that crazy about my bowl. It came with tons of meats which I appreciate. They definitely give you your money's worth but the broth lacked flavor. My daughter liked her bowl so I didn't say anything. We took leftovers home and I reheated her portion later. I saved a little broth for myself to sip and it was fantastic. It was an excellent sip of broth and everything I expected from quality pho. That's the confusing part of this story because both our dishes came from the same pot of broth. At least, they should have. In any case, we got two different experiences. That simple decision on my part to save the extra broth for myself earned Pho Viet & Cafe an extra star. It was good and I definitely will be coming back.

I tried my friend's juk and I loved the flavor. I got a baby bibimbap and actually that and the corn cheese was so filling. I liked my agi bibimbap- I'm glad I tried the red sauce with it too bc it's barely spicy and mostly sweet and a nice complement to the rich meat and egg. I got those two boxed up before I finished so I'd have room for dessert. I tried the hotteok and the texture was odd and the breaded part didn't taste like anything? But the filling and the caramel and ice cream were good. I tried my friend's black sesame ice cream and it was amazing. Definitely get that if they have it!

Their options were untraditional with creative twists on Korean dishes. Prices are higher than standard as well. Their Fried Cauliflower was a nice appetizer. Crispy on the outside and just cooked on the inside so it wasn't too mushy. My Duboo Set Lunch was tasty. I misunderstood it for soup but still really enjoyed it. The tofu was soft and took up the sauce well. Their side kimchi soup and banchans were delicious as well. I'd suggest going for their Dolsot Bibimbap options since these were very tasty and generous, albeit sweeter than what I'm used to. Service was fast and friendly!
