All I can say is what a disappointment! My order was completely screwed up because their app supposedly is controlled by a third-party so the manager said it was not their fault. I paid for my pizza in advance when I showed up it was not ready. I was treated as if I was inconveniencing them. In the end they did refund me and gave me the pizzas at no charge, this was after I explained to them their audacity and making me feel as if I inconvenienced them. Horrible service! As for the pizza paper, thin and I mean the thinnest pizza I have ever seen. While the flavor was OK way overpriced for what you got. read more

Great pizza. Keep in mind that these are very thin crust so size up if you are hungry.

I was in the area for work and seeing it was getting near lunchtime I called and ordered a pizza for myself to go. It was ready when I got there so I was in and out. The pizza had just come out of the oven so it was nice and hot. It was just myself so I got a small cheese and it was thin and crispy with a nice char. I ate it in the car as I drove to my next stop and it lasted all of ten minutes! Excellent pizza as always. read more

Sallys needs to do a better job with screening their managers. We just left and our waitress forgot to put our pizza order in for over an hour. She apologized but the manager who kept coming to our area avoided us. The manager should have come over and apologized and ensured better service which did not happen. It's sad because the food is good but management lacks basic fundamentals of customer service. read more

Sally's is always a 10/10 for me. I usually go to the New Haven location but this location is much closer. The original location is a little better but I love the ability to have a reservation here. Also my waiter Todd was amazing and he's the best. read more

Very thin thin crust pizza. Nicely charred. Since it's new the kitchen is still churning out the pizzas not that fast, but time improving on my second visit. If you order the burratta, there isn't much burrata. If you get the normal tomato and mozzarella, just note it's not the fresh mozzarella. I got the garden pizza, and while not bad, I wish they didn't put seasoning on top. read more

We tried Sally's Apizza for the first time, having been long-time patrons of Pepe's, so we were excited to compare. Although the wait was long, it was definitely worth it. The waitstaff was upfront about the wait, very attentive, and even adjusted our bill at the end. Now, about the pizza--it was light and crispy, but not too thin, with a perfect char! The toppings were fresh and delicious; we had the Calabrian chili, tomato and mozzarella, and the potato and rosemary pizzas. We also enjoyed several appetizers, with the fried mozzarella being the standout. The drinks were refreshing as well. We will definitely visit again soon! read more

We really enjoyed the tomato and basil pizza. The bacon on the second pizza was a bit too salty. Didn't care for the wedge salad. Excellent service. Will go again. read more

Way over priced.....not owned by the same family....pizza...so so ...$9.00 beers lol....I'll go else where thanks...

What's with the 3-stars?! This restaurant is new and jam packed everyday! I brought my friends the first time and they loved the garlic bread but the calamari rivals Capitol Grille!! Simply outstanding! Last night I took the whole family and they loved everything- the service was on point and the place felt great. Very comfortable. We can't wait to go back. Plus I love that fig and ricotta pizza YUM! read more

I was expecting a pie like I would get in New Haven. I didn't get it. The crust tasted like cardboard with way too much cheese on it. The location is trendy, perhaps a bit too trendy with loud awful music. I will stick with Pepe's in the area and only go to Sallys when in New Haven read more

We went here for the 1st time to see what all the hub bub was about. We chose 2 in the afternoon to avoid crowds and the wait. As expected only four or five tables of patrons finishing up their lunch. The waitress was very kind and we decided on the lunch special of a 10 inch pie and a soft drink. Still pricey but we're newbie's. For a place that serve hardly any food during our wait at the table, the food took a long time to come out. And, when delivered, mine came 1st by 5 minutes. Why we don't know. My pizza was less the hot. It felt like it stayed there hoping for the 2nd pizza to be ready but they figured out it would take too long so they brought mine. When you eat in, I normally expect to have to be careful not to burn my mouth as it can be so hot. Not so----very disappointed. My wife's pie finally came and it was steaming. The pizza is just ok. I know there are huge fans but i didn't feel it. Very thin and a bit tasteless. BTW, we ordered the regular pizza with mozzarella and toppings. Nothing fancy. Conclusion---we wont go back. It was ok but the ambience was "industrial" and the pizza was just ok. And it was expensive for what we got. Wanted a beer but $9 for a draft Peroni ($12 after tax and tip) was a bit too much also. read more

We decided to give the new Sally's location a try and ordered for pick up at 7pm on a Tuesday. I requested the Italian wings and an "Extra" pizza 1/2 mushroom, but was informed they can't do the "extra" size to go because they don't have the boxes for them (why??!) so went with the "classic" instead.... was told my order would be ready in 30 minutes. The restaurant is located beneath an apartment building with no apparent designated parking. Inside was completely open, but poorly lit and the music was LOUD - like entering a night club. It was fairly busy for a Tuesday night at that hour. We arrived 25-30 minutes after ordering and our food was ready when we got there. The total came to $46.xx (for wings and a medium pizza!!) We brought a pizza bag so that our food would stay hot for the 12-minute ride home. The pizza was EXTREMELY thin. I like thin-crust pizza, but this was actually SO thin there was barely any sauce or cheese and it was ice cold! They also added oregano to the 1/2 mushroom side which I'm not a fan of. It appeared that the pizza oven was too hot - it wasn't just charred but BURNT. It felt insulting to pay that much for a cold pizza that was like eating burnt air. The wings were a little over-cooked and the description was misleading. There was no sauce on the wings - it came with a bland chili sauce on the side and a Parmesan sauce that was pretty good. I didn't think to count how many wings came in the order, but I'm pretty sure it was less than 12 ... maybe 8? (for $16.50!!) Needless to say, we will not be ordering from here again. read more

This place stinks. Stopped in for lunch. Not many people here and pizza took 40 minutes. Disorganized and disappointing. Not fit to carry the "Sally's" name read more

You know it's never a good sign when you arrive at the restaurant and the police are there... Apparently someone was unhappy with their pizza. We waited over 45 minutes and people who arrived 20 minutes after us got their food before us. The manager even came over and apologized. The pizza was good but the place was too loud and parking is a hassle. Glad to try it and wish them luck but won't go back.... read more

we came on a thursday night, immediately greeted by the nicest and super cool host. words cannot explain how fantastic this experience was. we started with some amazing drinks, my partner went with a simple glass of wine and i went with their Godfather cocktail, super yummy with rosemary garnish. we started our meal with a caesar salad and the italian wings which had the perfect amount of spice and flavor accompanied by an aioli and sweet onions. for pizza i went with the basil burrata and my partner got the firebird, tooo good! the perfect amount of char with the most delicious sauce. i finished my meal with the sicilian margarita, recommended by our waitress. our waitress was amazing, on top of water refills, great recommendations, and answered all of our questions, providing the best dining experience perfect date night 10/10 read more

Ordered Summer scampi pizza, absolutely disgusting. Drenched in oil, box was so wet from oil I thought the bottom was going to fall out!

I supported this place since they opened. I loved Sallys in New Haven. However you guys really need to work on your customer service. I ordered a pizza at 8:35pm to pick up at the Wethersfield location. They refused my order because they said they closed at 9:00pm and the pizza would take 45 minutes? So if i walked in the door and sat down, taking up more time than just simply picking it up, would i be refused service because you close at 9? Even though I'm there at 8:30? If your hours say you are open until 9 pm then you serve until 9 pm! No worries i ordered pizza from another nearby local pizza place, they also closed at 9pm and they were more than glad to make my pizza and receive my business. You people won't last long treating customers like this. Very sad customer service read more

Lousy experience and won't go back. I have always loved the pizza at the Sally's in New Haven. Hate the atmosphere in Wethersfield and really loud Very overpriced for very very small portions. We actually stopped elsewhere about an hour later because we were hungry. Ordered garlic bread which never came despite many requests. Waiter said kitchen made mistake but who knows. Anyway still waiting for bread thru entire meal. We are done and want to leave. We tell waiter and he seems perplexed as to why we don't want garlic bread we have been waiting 45 minutes for. He Goes to speak to manager and never returns. We see him taking customers and bringing food. After at least 10-15 minutes we decide to put on our coats and go to register to pay. The lady ringing us out could not have cared less. read more

We ordered three pizzas for takeout, two 12" with toppings and one 15". $72.46 was the total. The lack of toppings should be an embarrassment. Literally only 18 pieces of pepperoni on the 12" pie. There was a slice that literally had ONE piece of pepperoni! The other 12" pie was ordered with mushrooms, onions and black olives, again lacking. Nothing like the original Sally's Apizza in New Haven. Disappointed is an understatement, I will gladly stand in the rain waiting for the original location. read more

It's a pretty good pizza but very expensive for what it is. There is a lot of hype and marketing behind it and so that is what you pay for. Is it the best pizza I ever had? No. The wait time is also very long, so plan ahead at least an hour. The inside and outside is nice and modern. read more

If the restaurant didn't have the "Sally's" moniker, this would probably be a four star establishment. Unfortunately it does and I have to judge it against its inspiration. I grew up eating New Haven style pizza and Sally's has always been my favorite. This pizza is similar but comes up short, the char is more in line with what I'd expect from a local brick oven place - it lacks the signature chewy, highly carbonized nature of the style. The sauce is probably most disappointing as I have always felt that Sally's sauce was the defining trait that set them apart from Pepe's and Modern. This sauce was somewhat soupy and lacked the sweet, rich flavor of the original establishment. Appearance wise it also doesn't hold up, being a more typical shape and appearance than the asymmetrical and dark appearance you get on Wooster Street. All things considered, if you look at it from the perspective of it being just "pizza" and not necessarily New Haven style, you could do worse in the area. The service was good, no complaints there, everyone was nice and attentive. The ambience was severely lacking, the biggest offense being the incredibly loud music pumping through the restaurant. The place was full and in my opinion there was no need to have music that loud (I had trouble hearing my table-mates). Compared to Pepe's satellite locations which try to replicate the dining experience of Wooster Street, this Sally's kind of goes off on its own with a modern, trendy look and a peculiar theming of classic rock motifs. To be fair, Sally's never had as appealing an atmosphere as Pepe's with its green booths and subway tiles - I'm not sure people would appreciate faux wood paneling and brown Naugahyde booths, but what they came up with was unfortunately a complete miss for me. Another item I'd mention is that we were seated against a wall that faced the front door on the other side, every time the door was open, the wind blasted through a sizable gap between the exterior wall and what we were seated against. Probably a consequence of the space they are in, but disappointing nonetheless. Overall, if you've never had Sally's before, spend the extra half hour to drive to New Haven and get the real thing, otherwise seek out the Manchester or West Hartford Pepe's (or Randy's Wooster Street in Manchester) for Apizza in the area (fwiw, they also fall short, but come closer). This place doesn't live up to its name and unfortunately hasn't been able to dial it in after being open for a number of months. I will give them another try at some point, as I'd love to be able to grab an authentic tasting pie just down the road, but it's not there, at least not yet. read more

I left a review about the food and I cannot find it. Apparently they remove posts that are not favorable. I'll try again. This time I'll mention something that really bothers me even now. We were served a salad that was not ordered. The server put it on the table and was gone in a split second. We looked at one another and then attempted after much effort to get the attention of the girl who took the order (the server was a different person) to explain this was not our salad. She brought it to a table two tables down from us and served it to them. We could have very easily picked from that plate of food with no one knowing. I'm am still grossed out thinking about it. This place is crossed off our list for so many reasons. You'd know if they didn't remove our first post about the burnt pizza with no cheese and little tiny pieces of breakfast sausage. At least that's what they looked like. Just sooooo bad. read more

Sally's apizza in Wethersfield is pretty good, but it doesn't come close to the Wooster St New Haven location. If you want the true Sally's experience, then go to New Haven, but if you're in Wethersfield and just want a pizza, then stopping here is fine. Like I said, the pie was "pretty good," but it just didn't wow me like Wooster. To add, the bartender was pleasant, the decor was cozy, and the 60s rock n roll over the loud speakers made for a fun time while sitting at the bar. read more

Pro-the red sauce and the sausage were good. Con-it was less than 1/3 full for lunch. We waited and had to then flag for ordering. Was checked on once. The vibe is not for families nor all that welcoming. Ill never cheat on Franks again! read more

Very very good pizza! I don't know what made me wait so long to try Sally's apizza. It's my first time eating here and won't be my last! My date and I ordered the crispy calamari which was amazing. I love calamari but the experience can be ruined if the calamari isn't made right. I love when it's very crispy and although some restaurants are deceiving with the word "crispy" displayed on the menu, this calamari was indeed CRISPY. For drinks I ordered the Cecelia which is a combination of blood orange, agave and ginger beer. I absolutely loved the drink. My date had the Vacanze Bambini which I took a sip of and enjoyed as well. Food is good, atmosphere is great with a very spacious yet intimate environment. I recommend coming here with a group even though a friend or date works also. Perfect location, perfect food....come see for yourself! read more

They should be ashamed and don't deserve to use the name Sally's. Pizza was tasteless and mushy crust- I paid $30 for a large cheese pizza that tasted like Dominos. Service is slow and the waitress talked so fast none of us at the table could understand what she said. Someone from New Haven needs to head up there and teach them how to make pizza . read more

I've been here 2 times before and liked it very much. My last experience was filled with issues. I ordered a small garden pizza and requested it be light char and I was informed it was burned and they had to do it over and then waited for another pizza to be cooked and they made me a large, which is isn't what I wanted because I was only one person and didn't want the extra anything. Also, the Arancini were over cooked and inedible and the waitress didn't ask me if I wanted most of the remaining appetizer wrapped up nor did she ask me if I liked it. It I complained and it was taken off of the bill. Lastly, I got mocktails and they took my glass away before i was finished with the drink and it was $9 for each mocktail, though tasty. I didn't appreciate that. I'll give them another chance; it was a busy Friday night. read more

Horrible!!! Overrated and burnt. I love char but this tasted like ash inch and that's after waiting in line

Food here is great. The waiting is terrible. Visited here 3 times have had to wait for food for over 30 mins each time. Tonight I have waited 40 mins for food. Also chicken parm having no pasta that's ridiculous. When I asked for a side of spaghetti I can't get it because they premake carbonara which I have never heard of. May never come here again read more

Yes I think it is great to have Sally's in Wethersfield, but honestly their system for a take out pizza is ridiculous and this will be the death of this place. Pepe's is by far a better pizza and without the hassle Sally's give's you. Seriously, a 2 hour wait time for a small cheese pizza? Or a 45 minute wait if you dine in! Again, not that good. It's worth the extra 10 minute ride to hit Pepe's in West Hartford or Manchester and Pepe's doesn't give you an attitude when ordering. A long wait to open, but Im sure they will destroy themselves with the service they provide. Pepe's and Modern blow this place away. read more

I called at 8:15 and they tolled me they would not make me a pizza because they closed at 9 really why don't u close at 8 then if I can not get food 45 min before closing time what's the point of having the hours at 9pm closing but you won't give me food at 8:15 I drove 35 min away to hear them telling me they can't assist me yea I would never come back here if that's how they are trained read more

Very loud top 40 hits from decades ago made for yelling across the table. Wine list is as thin as the pizzas. You have a choice of cheap $12 a glass wine to a good $18 glass. Bottles for $85 . Wethersfield: Shamefully weak beer selection. Martinis less than half full, weak, and overpriced. Pizza has thin crust, but very soft. The music was too loud and unlikeable. No blinds on the 12 foot high windows so the afternoon sun was blinding customers and staff alike. The first thing they tell you is that anything you order will be delivered in a totally random fashion, so don't complain if your main course comes before the appetizer. We ordered two small pizzas that came 10 minutes apart. Parking is confusing. The receptionist seemed annoyed. LOTS of children. Bad acoustics, so you have to yell to be heard across the table. read more

Pizza was very close to NH original. Service was okay, but first thing server said was "pizza takes 45 minutes". Trying to not sell pizza? Slow, service and disorganized feel.
