My son currently attends this location for "speech therapy". However since December of 2025 i have…read morerequested a call back from the general manager, JAMIE ,regarding concerns I have as a parent & have been continuously over looked. Again I received a call that my son's therapist will be leaving the practice & in the meantime no times are available except 3pm on Wednesdays (they have his availability & know 3pm on Wednesdays would not work). Since February of 2026, his doctors have requested he receive an additional session be added since my son is non-verbal & every time I have followed up the response is "availability must remain open for other patients". CLARISSA, the scheduling "manager" who is very passive, informed me if i did not want to schedule my son for an incoming therapist in August (WE ARE IN APRIL) then i am more than welcome to have him discharged. Mind you, we drive an hour to take him to be able to receive this support & multiple times we have arrived & there is no therapist for him, or the session was "canceled". The lack of communication & opportunity for a child is extremely sad. 0/5 stars

I had had radiation and chemotherapy treatment for tongue cancer. I consulted with Katie Hoops of…read moreMonterey Bay Speech Therapy to get a second opinion on my swallow and jaw exercises. Ms. Hoops was very helpful and explained the reason for my exercises as well as emphasizing the importance of my continuing the exercises on a long-term basis. I have heeded her advice. While in consultation with Ms, Hoops I also learned that she had experience working with deaf children. My family had been haranguing me for years to get my hearing tested and the results concluded that I had moderate hearing loss, but not sufficient loss for a hearing aid. However, I was not fully informed of the consequences of my hearing loss or provided an explanation of my testing chart. I made an appointment with Ms Hoops to go over the results of the test, I brought in my charts (which were greek to me) and she explained the test results, informed me of the sounds that are now difficult for me to hear and gave me suggestions regarding "training" family members and friends about how best to ensure that I hear their words. I am very happy to have found Ms. Hoops and Monterey Bay Speech Therapy.

it's been about a year since I wrote a review. I think we have had mom here for three years now…read more While there is some turnover, there's enough consistency with the staff that she sees the same faces on a daily basis. These people, the caregivers, go out of their way to not just pass out pills, but they stop and they visit and they love on our mother. They brag on her puzzles. I don't worry that she doesn't have any social activity because so many people in her room each day plus she has a great experience going down to the amazing dining hall where delicious foods are served and the company she shares is excellent. She lost her speech to a stroke, and yet the people that she deals with treat her as though they can understand every garbled word that she speaks. They are so good to her. We are so thankful to Monica zuniga for lighting up Ivy park for us. I'm not sure what we would've chosen. Had it not been for Monica. That girl is a dime and deserves a lot of praise. here is a Monica story. My son flew into San Francisco for business and drove down to surprise my mother. Someone snapped a picture. I sent the picture to Monica from my phone and ask her to run it on photocopy paper and give it to my mom. But no, not Monica! She had the picture printed professionally and put it in a frame and surprise my mom with it. That's Monica. Always going above and beyond I watch her around the facility while I'm there visiting and she is so friendly and engaging with every one of her residents. They all know her and adore her. I don't know what Ivy park does to hire people, but their process is clearly very thorough. I've never heard anyone use a sharp tone with an elderly person, they turn everything to laughter and keep people happy. The gal that runs the bus, I can't think of her name, but my goodness she is absolutely amazing with the elderly. She makes them feel like she's their buddy and their peer while she keeps them safe and entertained. I should get the names of all these people and write a little blurb about each of them because they are so incredible. Lizbeth is one of the caretakers that brings medication to my mom on the daily and talk about a precious soul. She makes my mom feel so adored and my mother absolutely loves her but then she loves everybody that works there. Thank you, Ivy park for such a job. Well done.

This facility has activities where residents socialize, and eat meals together. I should point out, The staff did a wonderful job of providing meals and care during the Covid pandemic. As my mom got older and the level of care increased, The staff was wonderful when communicating with us how they planned to address her issues. I highly recommend Ivy Park as a live in facility, when one cannot live by themselves.

There are moments in life when you place someone you love into the hands of complete strangers and…read moresimply hope they will be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. That was the situation I faced with my brother, Mike. From the moment he arrived at Salinas Valley Post Acute, it became clear that this was more than just a healthcare facility. After settling in, Mike told me something I will never forget. He said that someone greeted him with a simple, heartfelt "Welcome." Then, with a smile on his face, he told me, "It was the first time in a long while that I had felt welcome." Those words stopped me in my tracks. It reminded me that healing isn't only about medication, therapy, or medical treatment. Sometimes it begins with kindness. Sometimes it begins with making a person feel seen, valued, and accepted. In that single moment, your staff gave my brother something he desperately needed--hope. I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to Ashley. She has taken the time to personally call me with updates about Mike's condition, and those calls have meant more than words can express. During a difficult and uncertain time, she provided reassurance, compassion, and peace of mind. Knowing that someone cared enough to keep me informed made an enormous difference. Mike is still receiving care at Salinas Valley Post Acute, and every interaction I've had with the staff has reinforced the same impression. They don't simply care for their patients--they care about them. The professionalism, patience, dignity, and genuine compassion shown by everyone we've encountered have been nothing short of exceptional. To Ashley and the entire team, thank you for treating my brother as a human being first and a patient second. Your kindness has made a lasting impact on both of us. Long after the treatments are complete, we'll remember something much bigger than medicine--we'll remember how you made him feel. Thank you for giving my brother a place where he felt welcomed when he needed it most. Danny D. Mikes little brother
