We couldn't be happier with our decision to choose this community for our loved one. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and friendliness. Making the decision to move a loved one into assisted living is never easy, but the team made the process feel so much more comfortable and reassuring. Chef Matthew was incredibly personable and welcoming. He took the time to speak with us, answer our questions, and make us feel comfortable with the dining experience. It was clear that he genuinely cares about the residents and takes pride in what he does. Executive Director Sara was wonderful throughout the entire process. She took the time to answer all of our questions and address every concern we had. Knowing that she has been at the community for so long gave us an added sense of confidence and reassurance. One thing that really stood out to us was the incredible longevity of the staff. Carmen has been with the community for 24 years, and the Housekeeping Supervisor, Martha, has been there for an incredible 35 years. Seeing employees who have dedicated decades of their lives to the same community speaks volumes. You don't see that kind of tenure everywhere, and we truly believe they must be doing something right. It gave us even more confidence knowing our loved one would be surrounded by people who genuinely know and care about the residents and the community. We are so happy with our choice and truly feel we couldn't have chosen a better community. Management does not care about resident opinions. People have been complaining for 6 to 9 months about the food quality going downhill, and nothing has been done. Basic things like eggs not being cooked properly, running out of the main entree at 5:00 p.m. when the dining room opens at 4:30, not ordering enough pie and ice cream, a variety of meals that just don't taste good. They recently had some patio work that they were working on and they boarded up everybody's sliding glass door so they can't get out, which is important for safety. But nobody thought to get building permits?!!?? So the boarding was up longer than it needed to be, and then it was taken down before the project was completed, and now they're going to be restarting the project again. Seems like they don't know their ass from their armpit. They've started some new upgrades to the facility, and the residents had opinions about painting over the warm wood in the entryway and other spaces. Management painted over it anyway. It seems to us that they could spend money to hire better cooks and order better quality food, rather than spending money to upgrade the place when it looks fine as it is. There are some very quality staff that should be commended. Their maintenance staff is kind and responsive. Monica gets ready for reviews from everyone, including us. read more

I was extremely stressed and worried about my loved one having to move into assisted living, and the entire team at Ivy Park made me feel so comfortable and took so much of that stress off my shoulders. From the very beginning, Monica, the salesperson, was incredibly helpful, caring, and supportive. She made the process feel smooth and easy and was there for us every step of the way. Sarah, the Executive Director, has been so welcoming, compassionate, and attentive. Theresa and Nurse Tiffany have also been wonderful and have given me so much peace of mind knowing my loved one is being cared for. I truly feel that we made the right decision choosing Ivy Park. My loved one is well cared for, and our family is so happy with the placement. it's been about a year since I wrote a review. I think we have had mom here for three years now. While there is some turnover, there's enough consistency with the staff that she sees the same faces on a daily basis. These people, the caregivers, go out of their way to not just pass out pills, but they stop and they visit and they love on our mother. They brag on her puzzles. I don't worry that she doesn't have any social activity because so many people in her room each day plus she has a great experience going down to the amazing dining hall where delicious foods are served and the company she shares is excellent. She lost her speech to a stroke, and yet the people that she deals with treat her as though they can understand every garbled word that she speaks. They are so good to her. We are so thankful to Monica zuniga for lighting up Ivy park for us. I'm not sure what we would've chosen. Had it not been for Monica. That girl is a dime and deserves a lot of praise. here is a Monica story. My son flew into San Francisco for business and drove down to surprise my mother. Someone snapped a picture. I sent the picture to Monica from my phone and ask her to run it on photocopy paper and give it to my mom. But no, not Monica! She had the picture printed professionally and put it in a frame and surprise my mom with it. That's Monica. Always going above and beyond I watch her around the facility while I'm there visiting and she is so friendly and engaging with every one of her residents. They all know her and adore her. I don't know what Ivy park does to hire people, but their process is clearly very thorough. I've never heard anyone use a sharp tone with an elderly person, they turn everything to laughter and keep people happy. The gal that runs the bus, I can't think of her name, but my goodness she is absolutely amazing with the elderly. She makes them feel like she's their buddy and their peer while she keeps them safe and entertained. I should get the names of all these people and write a little blurb about each of them because they are so incredible. Lizbeth is one of the caretakers that brings medication to my mom on the daily and talk about a precious soul. She makes my mom feel so adored and my mother absolutely loves her but then she loves everybody that works there. Thank you, Ivy park for such a job. Well done. read more

I am not one to leave reviews.. but after my experience with Monica at Ivy Park of Salinas, the sales manager and the executive Director Sarah, I couldn't help myself but to jump on here to just show my gratitude and trust to Ivy Park of Salinas and the team there to make me feel so comfortable after touring a few times for my grandfather, who needs a higher level of care than we can provide at home right now. We had viewed a few of the assisted and was not comfortable of them and was very angry during the process. When we and met with Monica and met Sarah, I can see my grandfather's face to a smile instead of intimidating them. This is what I knew my grandfather felt comfortable and I knew it had to do with Monica's approach and Sarah's approach to my grandfather. The process was easy to get him in and we have not had any nor complaints since his move-in. This has actually helped our family and I sleep better at night knowing that he's in a safe also happy to. Thank you, Monica for your friendliness and making this comfortable you have a great leader who I know that runs a great ship there do the process we were able to see during a hard time for our family. read more

My mom moved to Ivy Park after we determined she could not live by herself at home. She lived here for seven years, and Ivy Park did amazing job of taking care of her and providing for her medical needs. This facility has activities where residents socialize, and eat meals together. I should point out, The staff did a wonderful job of providing meals and care during the Covid pandemic. As my mom got older and the level of care increased, The staff was wonderful when communicating with us how they planned to address her issues. I highly recommend Ivy Park as a live in facility, when one cannot live by themselves. read more

We found Ivy Park without even expecting it! Ritesh the maintenance man greeted us and made contact with the marketing director Miss Monica! The connection between staff, residents and guests was a genuine pleasure to experience. Monica cleared her schedule, did an intake interview with absolute patience and concern. Our tour was delightfully executed and we were impressed by the units and how everything was presented. We were invited to lunch (a wonderful touch). Dom was are server, and facilitated a wonderful lunch for us. We can't express how excellent the entire experience proved help us during this difficult time. Extra kudos to the staff mentioned above. I accompanied a friend who had decided to make their new home at Ivy Park. He chose a spacious one bedroom. I can't say enough about how wonderful everyone was. The front desk was welcoming with a warm smile and hot cookie. LVN's were kind and professional. Milo in the dining room was attentive and friendly.
