Then after a 3 days she would need to go to rehab hospital. The discharge team gave us 3 names of places she could go..one was Windsor ... called a few people I knew in the working in this business... they both said that for what she needed over a few days Windsor would be the one that they would send a family member. We told the discharge team our choice was Windsor. With in an hour or so the transfer team picked her up and we followed them for a short ride to Windsor. By the time we parked they had her in her room with the waiting staff. What I could not believe was the staff was so kind in everything thing they need to do with a new patient on intake. I was so impressed on how they interacted with her. Talking to her, explaining what they were doing each time. They made her feel at ease.. in setting in. After her needs were fulfilled they then turned to us and reviewed her medical history not just the physical operation but all of her issues she has had over the years. How was she prior to the fall and surgery. What did she like to eat.. ect and medication review from the hospital. It was so amazing that they are so kind and solicitous saying call us ect. Any time. I have had several call from in the following days... the dietician for the care center called to go over her what she liked to eat... want to make sure she gets food and snacks...he said we want to make sure she gain back her weight... all I see is the staff member are wonderful... interested in each patient.. walking, or in a wheelchair down the hall ...everyone has smiles and you can tell that they want to care for each and everyone ... the quality of care is visible in their interaction and personal care even when they don't think anyone is watching . She is now alert and eager to eat her dinner relishing every thing on her plate... everything is looking up Thanks to the staff angels on the skyline An answer to our prayers

My father's stay was a nightmare, (he had spent a week in the hospital for a blood infection). The…read morebathroom next to his room flooded and did not get fixed for over a day. He did not feel cared for or seen by the staff on a regular basis. There was always something more " time sensitive" that needed attention. When he went home he needed strong antibiotics. I called CVS 3 times since he arrived home-no prescriptions called in. Called the nursing staff-said that they sent it in. Was "in CVS's hands". Long story short: apparently CVS needs a digital request sent in and the nurses would only send it by fax. NURSES REFUSED TO SEND IN ELECTRONICALLY OR TALK TO CVS ON OUR BEHALF. The next morning, 14 HOURS WITH NO ANTIBIOTICS, thankfully I remembered the social worker on site. Called her (an Angel on Earth!), told her what was happening. Within an hour she had my father's antibiotics being filled at CVS. She apologized for the hardships caused us on their behalf. Never had a follow-up call from the nurses. I would NEVER recommend them for any type of care, for young or old alike.

She was not the usual type medical provider I've been referred to lately thats reading the referral and looking at their watch as they greet you. She was very clear in what the Vertigo test would consist of. This was not a hearing test, just the Ear Channels and Chrystals therein. She explained the tests would only take a couple of minutes and if the ears were the problem it would be an easy fix. She put some kind of googles on both eyes, that sent information to a machine that deciphered and showed eye movement on TV Screen, which gave her an indication of which Inner Ear Channel may be causing a problem. She ask my wife to watch the TV screen so she could see what was happening. She tested me 3 times cuz she wasn't believing my 1st result based on my age. Spent about an hour with me asking questions, etc. When we talked about the Black Eye I had several months ago she said vision can also affect Dizziness. Luckily I have an Eye Doctor appointment next week If your having Dizzy spells or think you have Vertigo or been diagnosed with Vertigo, you should definitely see Lynn Herbert for testing and treatment. She…read morewas on medical leave for more than two months after a surgery so I was unable to see her after another episode of vertigo and I went to another physical therapist... I was declared vertigo free by this individual however, it cropped up quickly again after my treatment. Fortunately, Lynn became available and I went to her and because of her expertise, many years experience and her excellent training plus the use of camera goggles she got me over this last bout as she always has in the past. Key for me has been the therapist using the goggles with cameras so they can see exactly what the eye movements are and I believe that is key to successful treatment. Cannot say enough about her. She knows her stuff snd she's an excellent practitioner, compassionate, and understanding as well.

There is a lift available for non-ambulatory clients. I currently take my mother here once a week. She has left side disabilities and chronic pain from a previous stroke. I am with her a lot as I am her full-time caregiver... the one continuous positive in her week, is her session at the pool. She has one-on-one supervision and enjoys not only the exercise, but the conversational interaction with whomever is her "teacher" for the day. You must have a doctor's note and fill out an application as there is often a waiting list. This is a wonderful place that I believe really helps people that would not ordinarily have access to a swimming pool.

I was just getting ready to settle in for a year and a half of hell, when I attended my first class with a DUI instructor named Bernard. I was SO lucky to have been scheduled with him! He has dry wit and sense of humor that made my 2 hr classes not only enjoyable, but I was provided thoughtful information and stats on why drinking is a bad idea for some of us! I just had my last class and I can't believe it's been a year already, the time flew by because it was such a pleasant punishment! The interviews were also something I'll miss, because Bernard truly cared about me and offered his wisdom and assistance 24/7...that meant a lot to me. If you find yourself in a jam, try to schedule with Bernard, your punishment will be something you (somewhat) look forward to!

Exercise, yoga, optional massages and trips off site made this an incredible experience, but the people of WRRC make your freedom possible. I made plans months out (though their turnaround based on need is remarkable), and the staff were exceptionally accommodating, fielding questions via phone, text and email. I wanted to visit, and had a great time meeting both the staff, as well as clients. I had a chance to chat with a client with no supervision - they let me know that they had extended their stay by 2 months! I thought this amazing, but having spent a month, I truly understand. Lindsay was the first person I spoke with. She has many hats, all worn well, with expertise running impactful groups (super supportive) and WRRC. I never felt pressured before I decided on WRRC, and she was always available for questions. Robin was a great asset to recovery, with excellent fitness routines, deep knowledge regarding the overlap between kinesiology and recovery. Wise, talented and a great guide to the nearby parks, she brings another critical facet to the recovery. A super cool human! Lisa conducted our yoga sessions, this is an area where I lack expertise, but she provided her own unique, touching and deeply kind insights, a super cool human! Jessica facilitated our art therapy sessions, and they were creative and offered lasting insights to address continued sobriety. Caring, tuned in and creative, a super cool human! Chris is my definition of a therapist, someone qualified by training, but naturally talented through experience and being a whole human being. We worked in several different modes, solo (insightful and impactful), with my kids (healing and owning) and my girlfriend (transformational and future focused), as well as in the family groups, all the while using honesty, care, humor and deep compassion to bring out the best of a wide range of clients, family and ages. Understanding the needs of such a wide range of folks requires wisdom to meet suffering where it is, and Chris applied just that, being a great guide toward a life of recovery and super cool human! The month passed quickly, and I could go on paragraph after paragraph regarding the deep conversations, laughs in comradery, recognition of past suffering, and the blue horizon of a sober future with each of the aforementioned WRRC guides. But in that is the point - they are committed to your recovery, trained in effective tools, human in their recognition, honest in their embrace of the complexities of it all, and compassionately fully engaged in your better future. I know it might be hard to acknowledge, but you or your loved ones deserve this level of care. There is no shame, no stigma, you (or your loved ones) are human. Not only did their methods help cure me of the obsession, but they gave me insight into my life and tools to use that has allowed me to thrive without the need of Alcohol. My wife and kids are also very grateful to everyone at WRRC who started me on this new journey. For anyone struggling with addiction, I'd highly recommend checking in. I loved that their methods are holistic, and not necessarily pushing any one solution to recovery, but teaching numerous principles. I believe most, if not all the counselors and people in the house have been down the road, so have real life experiences of recovery and really seem to want to share the gift. If you are truly ready to stop the madness caused by addiction and willing to listen, learn and be open for change in your life, this place is waiting to help get you on the path to recovery. The house is situated in a beautiful area with wonderful views and wildlife. The pool, gym, game room, food options, weekly excursions and phone options, which help with family involvement are certainly a nice bonus as well. I'm currently over 15 months sober and continue to use the skills I learned in "The House".
