Salinas Valley Post Acute was a wonderful experience for my family. We have been to other skilled nursing in the past and had some skilled nursing PTSD from the last time we put our mother into one. Nursng staff was very attentive and physical therapy team did a wonderful job in supporting, and encouraging my mother to walk again after her fall. Even after the admissions process, Ashley continued to check on our mother, providing us updates and was happy to help her with FaceTime when we were able to come in to see her face-to-face. Ashley was very sweet and honest about what to expect with our mother journey to recovery. Always happy to answer any questions and always addressing our concerns right away. This facility is conveniently located near the hospital and served our family well. The transition of care was seamless, which we appreciated as we navigated a new stage of life with difficult decisions. Staff kept us informed and helped us get acclimated to a new normal. The staff take pride in their work, and genuinely care about the well being of their residents. We saw fun activities like bingo and other group social recreation offerings when we visited. My 2 month stay started out good. The business and medical staff were very helpful and responded quickly to my needs. As time went by, my requests took longer and longer to be taken care of. It was agonizing at times, waiting an hour or more for the nursing assistants to help me at night. The constant chaos of mentally ill patients yelling in the hallways, yelling from their beds, walking into other patient's rooms, was the worse! The light and noise in the hallways prevent sleeping so I would highly recommend ear plugs and a sleep mask. The physical, occupational and respiratory therapists were all remarkable!! I hope to see some of them around town after I am discharged. read more

Salinas Valley Post Acute has taken care of my father off and on for the past year. He had a complicated surgery that required wound care round the clock and also needed physical therapy multiple times a week. The management staff and nursing staff are all amazing! They took such good care of Dad, and he is not the easiest patient and not once did I see him neglected. The nurses are on it 100%, and always avail to answer all the questions I had. He is currently back at SVPA for additional rehab after falling and breaking his leg. He is very comfortable, happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend sending a loved one here. read more

I want to publicly thank Salinas Valley Post Acute for their help in rehabilitating my Aunt Pauline after her cervical surgery and assisting her in getting off a peg tube for liquid feeding, which was a complication from the surgery. I have never had this type of experience before, and although our first night was a shock for both my aunt and me, the outcome was overwhelmingly positive. The entire staff--Nurses, CNAs, Physical Therapists, Admin., Drivers (Gloria), Cooks, Maintenance, Laundry, Cleaning staff, and Activities staff (Alma)--were all kind and professional. Everyone at Salinas Valley Post Acute made my aunt and me feel safe, comfortable, and worry-free, which I believe contributed significantly to her recovery. God bless you all. read more

The Care is very good and equal to the care of other care facilities. There is a woman named Lauren Love Creevy that is going on all social media sites to put out allegations against this facility and its staff. I just wanted to make sure that I gave a proper review of my experience with my family member who was there. The staff took care of my family member very well. Yes they are busy but that is to be expected. However they were never to busy to come help when called or needed. My family member would not have been able to come home if not for the assistance of this facility. So thank you to Salinas valley acute care for taking care of my loved one. read more

Shady care center for sure. Take patients in without requiring adequate paperwork. Will not reply or respond to numerous calls to check on my parent who was recently taken there without the correct authority. Ashley, Monique, and especially Lakisha are very unprofessional and giving numerous bs excuses. Will be contacting the company's main office and getting the state involved. They are doing illegal and unethical practices. DO NOT taken anyone there that you know or care about. read more

This place is a great rehab for my loved one . They are taking care of them really good and I can't ask for better place to stick my love one in . the nurses are wonderful. Salinas Valley Post Acute , just recently acquired the business at, 637 E Romie Ln Salinas.There has been many changes made, with the goal of giving the best care for the patients and their families. One department here at Salinas Valley Post Acute has really improved is the food service, a lot of changes. With new staff , new management , fresh fruits and vegetable.
