Everyone is entitled to their opinion, that is a given. My story is ten years long, that is how long I have been a patient. I believe that gives me a clear understanding of this establishment, and its employees. I have had numerous serious illnesses, and countless routine visits. I can honestly say that without the professionalism and determination of Dr. Annis and his staff, I would not be writing this. He is a different bird at first, and once you engage him you find out how deeply he cares. I have never left his office feeling anything but good. He also takes time to check up on me when down with a severe illness, or the basic cold. That said, I need to address his wonderful staff. From the Nurses, to the Administration staff, to the X Ray Technician, to the Office Manager, The majority of the visit revolves around them, and they do not get the attention, and the gratitude they deserve, and they are not even looking for it. That is how wonderful they are. Magda, and Mary are the two I have experienced most in my ten year history, and they are a delight beyond words. Together they put aside their personal illness, and hardships, and devote all their attention, and care to the patient. I have witnessed this with every patient. I have not been the model patient on several occasions, and they dealt with my selfish needs, and treated me with the utmost care. I am humbled to have these professionals treat me. The staff works together as a team to provide the highest patient care. Today I solve a long standing issue I had with the Office Manager in which I found that it was I that was one that was the one that was in the wrong, Cynthia and I discussed this in length, and I came out with a newly found respect, and appreciation for her. Lesson learned......no matter how you feel, approach these people with your concerns as they happen, and you will be pleasantly surprised at the response these wonderful, everyday people give you. I've never been there for anything other than my worker's comp case so I no longer know who works there since the various name changes. Dr. Anis whom I call Dr. Anus for various reasons was a horrible doctor. Dr. Peña is a straight up a-hole! That guy has been passed around to all the Soledad clinics. I refuse to ever see him again! I made a complaint against him on how he treated me and made me feel and nothing was ever done. I never even got an apology from Dr. Slater at the time when he was head at Mission HealthcareCenter, nor did he respond back to me. I told him in person and in writing and I was just dismissed. I was glad when Dr. Slater retired, but was hoping all the others would be gone too! I pray they have better doctors now in 2024.

I think many patients like the fact that everyone that works there is bilingual. Nothing better than seeying a Dr who understands what your saying and can also respond back in your language. They offer alot of different in house services which is so convenient for us as patients. And if they don't offer that service they give you a referral elsewhere, the referral coordinators are quick and call you with your referral information, with an office that busy I can only imagine how much work they have how many referrals they work on in a day. Anyhow over all this Medical Group is great. People make reviews about things that inreality isnt the staffs fault. Read about long waits, but most of the time the long waits are due to patients, specially those with physicals for their babies or theres always apt with kids that don't comply and all that make the Drs fall behind just saying. Also read that the waiting room is crowded and with sick people, really lol it is a clinic. I also saw a review about not receiving a call when lab results were normal. I mean why take their time away I would rather want them focusing on those lab results that are abnormal, need special attention, further testing, or even referrals to a specialist. No?? The doctors have no clue as to how backed up other services are and write an order for an ultrasound or CT scan for a specific time frame only to have the patient discover the earliest appointment is a month after the doctor wanted the service.
