Definitely better than the service that I'm used to receiving at Toyota. They do have a shuttle service as well as a few seats. And wifi. Was told if I spent 1k+ for my car they would fix problem. Was assured my car would run properlyif i addressed what they said was the problem.. Gave them the ok. Then had to call them constantly daily to find out the status of my car. Never got a return call back to explain or keep me updated on the processes. Their Customer service is shit, and I'm being nice. Long story short. Was charge over 1k and they didn't resolve the issue with my vehicle. Let's hope things get better. I have a brand new $70k f150 limited with the extended warranty on it that is supposed to get me a rental while the truck is being fixed (it had a serious electrical problem that stops the front windows from coming down). When I called I was told that the dealership does not respect the national warranty policy and only provides rentals to those that purchased from the dealership. Yes you read that right, they just pushed a prospective client out the front door. Having grown up in summit and seeing the dealership virtually every day I assumed that they must be doing something right, but failing in this the most important interaction they can have with a new client is inexcusable. DO NOT BUY YOUR JEEP FROM SALERNO DUANE. This place is a full blown SCAM! I bought my Jeep and as part of the contract you receive 3 years of Jeep Wave Maintenance (tire rotation & oil change, see attached photo/document FROM JEEP!). However, by the time it came to the third year, they said they are not doing that anymore. I pointed out it was in the contract, on their website, and my salesperson, Boris Aguirre, had highlighted this feature to me several times at the sale. How could it be more clear than their own contract and their own website?!?!? They responded that no, they are not honoring the contract. I contacted the new service manager, Paul Bonilla, and he also highlighted they are no longer honoring the contract. The old service manager was very helpful and abided by the contract. I have a text from him that they owe us 3 years of Jeep Wave, but this is irrelevant to the new management. They do not honor their OWN contract. Beware of this Dealership. I returned my leased vehicle to them before the lease was up in March of this year. At the end of June I received a phone call from a tow truck company, they wanted to repossess the vehicle I surrendered to Salerno in March. Apparently Salerno never notified Ford Credit to pick up the vehicle from their location. I told the caller where to find the vehicle and he thanked me. He also indicated that this was not the first time Salerno neglected to call Ford Credit for a vehicle pick up. I've been there 4 times and never got my tire fixed. They are trying to charge me over$600 for 2 tires when only 1 needs replacing and that one is under warranty. They are scammers. Came in from Princeton on a lease deal on the F 150. Walked out with a loaded F 150 and not a gaudy Platinum. Sal was excellent and to the point as I like. My girlfriend is next for something there or the Jeep portion they own. I broke my Purchase time record of 45 minutes to 15 with the F&I person Paul awesome. Finally Mike also sales whom is the technical whiz that will take you through the nuances for setup of the ford pass etc because ford has pulled out all the stops in this area and it will take me a few months to get it down because Im not 18 and don't live on my phone. I am so completely disappointed. The bad reviews on google are true. I have used this dealership for years. They recently changed management and the dealership is now staffed by rude and incompetent staff. It is so bad that I will turn in my lease and leave for another brand, something I never thought I would do. Even my sales associate jumped ship. I was able to track him down with a google search and will now be leasing a Volvo from him. The service department is dismissive, condescending and incompetent. They caused a problem with my leased vehicle and not only did they blame me for it, but after 3 additional visits, they have yet to fix the issue. If you sales associate is no longer there, you might consider tracking them down and they will confirm everything I just wrote. Oh, and Ford no longer lets other brands buy out your lease, like the rest of car industry. They want to make it as big a hassle as possible to jump ship. I have been using Salerno Duane Ford for service for the past approximate 10 years. On a recent attempt to set up a loaner while my vehicle recall and other maintenance was performed I was told that they no longer give loaners to people who did not buy their car from them... That is very sad considering all of my last 3 vehicles were purchased as Certified Used and I had to travel to other States to find the one I wanted. Obviously, I am NOT going back to other states for service. I was under the impression that these dealerships made more money on service then the sale of the vehicle. I just had a great experience here with a fantastic sales person. Thumbs up for Bob Montgomery! Reading the other reviews (and having been here for a few hours swapping an old lease for a new one) Bob is clearly head and shoulders above the rest!! I knew what car/model I wanted but still had some questions which he answered well, giving pros and cons for each decision to be made. If you want a Ford and you're in this area I couldn't recommend him more highly- Bob gets 5 stars! One of the sales people answered the phone by basically barking "Sales!" He did seem nice and engaged if you can get past the initial greeting. I also saw a review about service. I've had my car serviced before here about 7-8 months ago for the 1st time and they were great. But somehow this time around, I wasn't treated as such. This was my experience: Dropped off my car on a Thursday night since my appointment was Friday, just so that the technicians would be able to start on it the first thing the morning. This was just a simple oil change with "the works" package, nothing fancy. I also asked if they could please check the brakes and call me if they needed to be replaced. Friday afternoon rolls around and I didn't receive a call from them about the status of my appointment, so I decided to call them to check in. From the receptionist Kyle who picked up, they "forgot" that my car was in the lot and they just were now starting to work on it (This was around 1:30PM EST). Around 2:45PM, I get a call from him that my oil change was complete but they needed to change both my brakes and my tires. He quoted me for $600+ for all 4 tires to be changed.....this was INCLUDING a discount?? I've gone to other Ford dealerships with my previous Fiesta and it did not cost THAT much to change my tires. So I only told him that I only wanted change my brakes (since it was under warranty) and asked about how long would it take. He said 2 hours and would call me by EOD when it was completed. Before 4:00PM, he called me again to say that the technician wouldn't be able to finish changing the brakes that day and it should be done on Saturday. I asked him "Why it taking so long? I thought you said this would only be 2 hours?" No valid response but that it would be completed by tomorrow. So, I asked them again that they please at least give me a notification call when ready and if possible, just lock my spare key in the car so I could pick it up without bothering them. Saturday afternoon rolls around and I haven't received a call that my car is done. So I call around 3:20pm only to be told my the sales rep that the service center closes at 3:00pm and that they only do minor services (oil changes, etc) on Saturday hours. Seriously?? I informed him that I wasn't told that they only do minor services and that they closed at 3:00PM. I also informed him that I was told it would be ready on Saturday but I got no call. He only replied that there wasn't anything else he could help me with. Since they were closed on Sunday, I was expecting to get a call Monday morning with my status, but nothing. I called them 3-4 times throughout the day with no response nor chance to leave a voicemail. So even though by EOD I didn't receive any notification that my car was done, I headed over to the dealership (4:00pm). Upon entrance to the lobby, I spoke with their receptionist if my car was done. She said it was and that it was completed on Saturday afternoon. I asked her why I wasn't notified, and she shrugged her shoulders and said that "I wasn't here so it's Kyle who would have the responsibility to call you back." I also asked her if she was present throughout the day at the desk and she said "yes". Then I asked her why no one was picking up the service desk phone after I tried calling today 3-4 times, yet she had no response for me. Just fed up with this lack of total respect, I just accepted the keys and the receipt and left (I didn't owe anything since all services were covered under a current service plan I bought with the car). Keep in mind, with Friday and Monday being a work day and me being without transportation, I had to spend $22 per day round trip to get to work in NYC. This money I will never get back. I don't know how or why I was treated in such a manner after my first time using their service center went so well. I wasn't rude nor demanding of the employees. The service that was requested wasn't complicated and took less time the 1st time around to complete than what occurred Friday. After this encounter and treatment, I'm really weary of ever using their specific site again to service my car. It's rather confusing to have this treatment when the FORD company prides itself on quality, respect, and loyalty. Rather look elsewhere than to be treated like this after I've purchase 2 FORDs already in the past. If you want to lose customer trust and loyalty, that was the perfect example of how. read more

About a month ago I took my Ford Explorer to Salerno Dwayne to check out an emissions recall and agreed to have an oil change and tire rotation at the same time. When leaving I was parked in the last space in the lot, by the street. In the rear of that space was a stop sign,(in my blind spot) which I hit causing damage to my car. An employee of the service department came out and informed me that I was not the first to do this and it had been pointed out to the manager. I e-mailed them and haven't had the courtesy of a reply. A few days after this incident I drove into NY and oil was rushing out of my car. It eventually shut down due to low oil pressure. I had it towed to my mechanic in NJ and was told that my oil filter was not properly tightened at Salerno Dwayne. I am out at least $150.00 for tolls and service. Luckily I am a AAA member and the tow was covered. I e-mailed them , sent a certified letter and have received no response. (I also contacted Ford Motor Co and haven't had the courtesy of a reply). My sales experience here was fantastic. The sales reps are friendly and not pushy and will work with you to get the bet deal that suits your needs. They even give you follow up calls and emails a year into your purchase/lease. The service department reps are pretty helpful and on most occasions (with the exception of today's bad weather) they are able to give you a courtesy ride to & from a local destination. Bad experience with sales dept so I went to a dealership further away. I also tried their service dept thinking I wouldn't have the same bad experience being a completely different dept. Not so. I asked them to perform a simple warranty repair and not only did they not fix it (my service "advisor" told me it was fixed) but they recommended other repairs totaling over $1,000. read more

This review is for service department and not the sale of new cars. Had a pickup truck in for a repair in which Salerno could not locate the part but instead offered to replace the entire transmission for 4 times the cost. We waited a month for the part to come in but to no avail. Finally we picked up the truck and brought it to a local garage to get fixed. He obtained the part easily enough and all is good with the truck. But then we started to get billed for the repair and parts from Salerno for work never done ! So each month we called and stated this was an error and Salerno said they would correct the error billing. Well on month 3 the bill came again ! We called the billing department and left messages twice and they did not even have the decency to return the calls. It was not until we went there in person did we get the bill corrected. But we're really not sure its corrected until we see what comes in the mail next month ! read more
