I recently bought a car from Century 21 Auto Group in NJ and had an absolutely horrible experience. 1st they are completely misleading and put ridiculously low prices online to sucker you into going in. I drove over 3 hours after calling to confirm the price on the phone and when I got there it was $4000 more because of some BS about military discounts and travel discounts etc.. When I told them I was in the military and qualified for all their discounts they still charged me $16,500 for a car that was advertised for $12,500 on their website. I agreed to purchase the car under the condition they fixed the tire sensors and cleaned up the inside. (Which was absolute dirty). I put $8000 down and agreed to come back in 2 days to get the car when everything was done. The next day I got a call from my salesman Issac who said they were going to sell the car to someone else if I didn't come back that day to get it... Keep in mind I put $8000 cash down on the car and it was less then 24 hours later. I reminded him of our previous agreement and went back the following day to get the car. I got to the dealership at 8pm expecting to sign some paperwork and drive away in my new car. Only one problem, when I was signing the paperwork they refused to tell me how much the purchase prices of the car was. They kept asking how much I wanted my monthly payments to be. When I finally got the paperwork it had the cars purchase price at $22,500!!! When I confronted them they said that was the agreed price. After getting my sales guy Issac involed and he seemed to lose his mind and forget everything we spoke about and agreed on. I was so pissed off I told them I wanted my money back and was leaving. At that point they said "What money" as if they were going to try to steel my $8000. And begged me to make a deal. After arguing about "Discounts" and bank financing charges we agreed on $16,800 which was still $300 above the previously agreed price. But, I was so tired at this point and just wanted to leave with the car. When I got back to signing the paperwork they were visually pissed off at me, (I guess because I didn't let them screw me for an extra $6000) and we began going over the paper work again. This time they had the purchase price at $17,800... WTF! And when I caught it they quickly apologized and said it was there fault and changed it to $16,800. I guess they have gotten away with that before. When I finally got in the car it was almost 1am. I drove off the lot and within 15 min the tire sensor light and the check engine light came on. I tried calling the immediately and got no response. I called 40 times the following day and kept getting pushed off by the answering service and promised they would call back. (This became a common theme with them. They never called me back. EVER....) I eventually took my car in Monday to talk with someone. First they tried saying they didn't agree to fix anything until I showed them the proof and then they reluctantly agreed. Over the next 4 weeks they had me drive back and forth 3 hours 3 times to pick up a car that they said was "fixed" only to have the check engine light and tire light come back on. I finally took it to a Mercedes Benz Dealership and they give me a bill for $8,600 to fix everything that was wrong with the car. I would love to elaborate more but my blood pressure is preventing me from continuing. The people at Century 21 Auto Group are the most dishonest, unethical, and unmoral people I have ever worked with in my entire life. I am surprised that so many people exist on this planet with their values, (let alone in one dealership). Over the months trying to get my car fixed and get my money back, none of them were of any help or any sympathy. Again, there is a lot more to this story including : they never registered my car or gave me a license plate, the warranty I spent another $4000 on from Century 21 didn't cover any of the $13,300 in repairs, I canceled their "Oil Change" service contract within the 30 days as the contract said and not only didn't get a refund but never even got a response! I am currently pending lawsuit with Century 21 Auto Group and wanted to save anyone else the agony I have been though dealing with them. They have been sued successfully many times before and even sued by the state of NJ for false scam business practices. I can't believe they are still aloud to be in business. If anyone is considering buying a car from Century 21 Auto Group I am happy to share my experience with you. Found a car advertised on the CarFax app, called to inquire about absolutely every single fee I would acquire upon purchasing any vehicle from them, I spoke to a lady named Yunis who advised me to make an appointment. I had asked a 2nd time, insisting, that if I were to come in, I am to buy the vehicle for the complete asking price as long as I am aware of all fee's up front -- I don't live anywhere near Springfield, and had to drive out from Brooklyn. Yunis tells me, "the price you see is the best price possible as it is already discounted if you were to finance the vehicle, but aside from that, every car is liable for taxes, registration and plates". I then asked, just to triple-check, "are there any dealer or miscellaneous fee's?" she says, "No". Once that was established, I literally put everything aside, including work, my family and my Friday, to make it out there, in traffic, to buy the car. I get there, with all 3 of my little ones and my wife, under lots of pressure to get out of there as fast as I can to satisfy their needs and get home. I'm greeted by a salesman, forgot his name, was a nice gentleman who didn't much push as a cliche dealer would, which I was happy about, and we went back and forth. To sum it up, here is the bait-and-switch scheme I was given; The car's price was 15k, and with a NY registration, I would pay a grand total of 16,756 if I were to take the car with my own plates and have no temp tags; this includes taxes, registration and new plates. Guess what? They start "negotiating" a price with me after everything was already said and done. The apparent new price was 17.6k and change, EXCLUDING TAXES and dmv fees. How did we suddenly increase the price of the vehicle by 2.6k? Apparently, for three reasons; a) I didn't buy a car from them in the past 36 months, b) I'm not in the military and c) I am currently not enrolled in college and/or didn't graduate college within the past 2-3 years. This is all a bullcrap rebate system they try to pull on people. I had told them that even their own advertisement did not have this disclaimer in their fine print and that their own represenative named Yunis had confirmed with me that this would not happen; otherwise, why would I come in? Of course, I didn't buy the vehicle, but one more important thing for everyone to know is that they even false advertise the vehicle itself. Even if the price ordeal didn't happen, I would not have bought it, as the pictures showed the car as in flawless condition, off-lease and 1-owner/personal use. In person, the car looked like it was abused, had dents, scuffs and dings on every single piece of metal surrounding the panels of the car, and I was told "if we can fix the exterior for you, would you agree to this price?" multiple times. I then asked, "are you asking me to pay your price up front so that you can "try" to fix the exterior and then make me buy it as-is, whatever the result may be?" My question was shunned and I was basically told to wait for the manager. I'm not an idiot, but this dealership is much worse than corporately owned franchise dealerships that try to pull the same scheme on you when selling a used/cpo vehicle. For all of you people trying to buy a car, do YOURSELF a favor, don't even inquire with these people, look around and purchase a used car from a private seller, it pays to bring a mechanic with you and pay that way than to deal with these slick haired crooks. They are looking to make a minimum profit of 4k+ on a car that they probably didn't even pay 14k for. If only these people were honest and didn't try to pull of a scheme, they'd truly be NJ's #1 used car dealership, as their location is nicely decorated and comfortable. Too bad, keep paying high rent and try to steal from hard working people's wallets. If I could give it a negative 10 star rating, I would, but better than that, I'm filing a complaint to consumer affairs and to the BBB, and if any of you employees are reading this, let the manager know, he should have not pulled that card on me -- I know you know who I am; I never write reviews, but you made me do it, I dare you to try to respond to me. I wish death upon your business and anyone like your establishment, swiftly. And fire Yunis, unless you're intentionally paying her to lie to people. read more

I just want to say that I was initially hesitant to go to this dealership based on other reviews I've read, I am glad that I did. I was looking specifically for a 2012 Mercedes GL450, and they were advertising a couple at what I thought were too-good-to-be-true prices. I called the dealer and the girl on the phone told me that the cars were in stock, and suggested very strongly that I make an appointment ASAP, since they are a high volume dealer, and cars sell fast. I was still hesitant at this point, since I speak with an accent, I feel that people are always trying to take advantage of me, and I'm familiar with the types of games that used car dealers play. The GL's they had on their website ticked all of my boxes as far as price, equipment, and mileage, so I decided to take the risk and go to my appointment. I was greeted promptly, (maybe a little too promptly), upon exiting my vehicle, and was taken to the front desk, where I was greeted by the usual assortment of eye-candy receptionists. I was then paired with a young Spanish salesman, who was polite, enthusiastic, and seemed to have quite a bit of product knowledge. He took me straight away to see the GL, which was parked on the showroom floor, along with like 100 other cars, which meant I had to witness a keystone cops routine of salesmen looking for keys and trying to move like 6 or 7 cars out of the way so my salesman could get the GL450 out. Anyway, after 15 minutes or so, I had a chance to get a good look at the truck, and it seemed to be in good nick, with only a couple little scratches on the rear bumper. I've looked at literally dozens of these, and for the price I ended up paying, it was the best deal. (more on that later). After test driving the vehicle, I was still waiting for the other shoe to drop, as far as what the catch was here...It all still seemed too good to be true. Comparable trucks to this sell in the low $40's, and they were asking $35995. I was guessing the hitch was some sort of dealer fees were not included. I've been to a whole bunch of used car lots and name brand dealers, and I've seen all the types of fees they add...Internet fee, dealer prep fee, military discount, loyalty discount, credit report fee, transportation fees, you name it, I've seen it in the last few months. The salesman then showed me the Carfax, which was clean, but indicated that the car was purchased at an auction. The salesman then proceeded to tell me that they do charge a dealer prep fee, but it primarily goes to cover the cost of reconditioning the cars after they buy them at auction. The one thing I had going for me was that all Mercedes come with a 50K mile new car warranty that is transferrable, so I felt covered that way. I then asked the salesman for the bottom line, and he said he could sell me the car for $38500. Bottom line was I liked the truck, and even with the fees, it was still a couple grand below other comparable GL's I've seen. Once I agreed to the deal, they whisked the car away to be detailed, and the guy in the finance office was very helpful in helping me set up a wire transfer to pay for the car. I drove the truck home later that afternoon, still wondering if I had made a wise choice or not, good price notwithstanding. I went the very next day to Ray Catena Mercedes, even though the car seemed to run and drive just fine, fully expecting them to tell me that the frame was bent, or the engine block was cracked, or some other catastrophe that was going to cost $10K to fix. Instead, I was surprised with a clean bill of health, and a service history showing the car had been maintained regularly at a Mercedes dealer in Pennsylvania. All in all I feel like I won. 21 Century Auto Group has been my family's dealership of choice over the past years. I wrote a review for this dealership a while ago but am back here again because we made another recent purchase. We are a family of 5 and 3 of our cars have been purchased at 21 Century Auto. Back in 2011, my brother purchased a BMW B7 Alpine and my mother, a Mercedes Benz CLS. My brother couldn't be more content with his purchase, to this day, he has not had one problem with his car and seems as happy with it as he did the day he purchased. My mother had initially purchased the CLS, she loved the car and she trusted my brother's recommendation to this dealership. As satisfied as my mother was with the CLS, she always dreamed of having a convertible. She purchased the car Last year in the month of November and just like my brother, NEVER had a problem with the car except...that it wasn't a convertible. Not that my opinion counted so much because it wasn't a car for me, I thought the car was exquisite and the price she ended up signing for was UNBEATABLE! This past week, after looking to see if this dealership had a convertible that caught my mother's interest, we found a beautiful BMW convertible in a teal color with a black top. It was exactly what she wanted and we were all thrilled to see she had finally found a car she really truly liked! A car is an investment, if your not completely sure it's what your heart and wallet want, then don't make the purchase! The salesman don't push the sale at all so take your time! My mother stopped by the dealership and was helped by Andrey. Andrey has always been a fantastic salesman. Andrey and Dmitry Zeldin (the owner) helped work together with my mom to make her completely comfortable with her purchase. Sitting down, they discussed the benefits of this car in comparison to hers, by the end, my mom was sure the BMW was the car she wanted. She traded in the CLS and purchased the BMW. Andrey and Mr. Zeldin make my mother the happiest woman in New Jersey! As always, these gentlemen handled themselves very professionally and offered their assistance with any problems in order to accommodate my mother's needs. I am very grateful that this dealership offers such great customer service, indeed it is a big part of purchasing. We picked up the car yesterday and a young man named Jeff took his time to show my mother everything in the car and helped her understand the cars different features. That helped A LOT, driving a new car for the first time without knowing anything can be nerve wrecking. Not to make this longer then it already is, I also purchased my car with 21 Century Auto group, a Audi A4 2009 about two years ago and I love my baby. In all honesty, this dealership really does live up to its fantastic reputation. We would not be doing business with them so frequently if we doubted their service and loyalty to their customers. We have gotten to know our salesman and feel very comfortable with their professional work ethic. I will try and include the pictures of our cars just to show that this review is completely legit, my family and I WOULD RECOMMEND this dealership to ANYONE! I purchased a 2005 Jaguar S from twenty first Century Auto. I usually don't write reviews but my sales rep. encouraged I write a review of my experience with this dealership, so if I had an issues, they could improve their services. Honestly, the only issue I had with these guys is that my appointment time got mixed up but evenso, when I arrived another sales representative accommodated my appointment and offered his assistance. The car I had previously to the one I purchased ended up going to my wife because her car needed to go. We invested so much money into getting it fixed and with over 100, 000 miles, the vehicle was beginning to constantly have problems so, she took my car and now I was in search of a replacement. We spent a couple of weekends going around to other dealerships to see what vehicle would interest us. I always dreamed of owning a Jaguar but never really thought that time would come. We already have an SUV for the family and I figured since I spend so much time driving back and forth for work purposes, it was time I invested the money into something I really wanted. Twenty 1st Century was the last dealership I stopped by. I went to the BMW right next to them and on my way out, I saw these guys and figured I would check the rides out. I looked at different cars along with a salesman and figured I would come back with my wife. When I called I spoke to a young lady and set up an appointment with a salesman for the car that interested me. I asked to make the appointment for 4pm and upon arrival the sales representative I had dealt with previously was busy but another very salesman named David assisted us. He was very well mannered, patient and encouraged us to test drive the car to make sure it was what we wanted. My wife really liked the car and for our family of three it was suitable. David took his time with us, answered our questions, offered us his personal opinion and stuck with us through the financial paperwork. The customer service was great and they offered us a better package then expected on the car without having to ask. I have driven the car to Pennsylvania and a couple times in the city as well as around NJ and I haven't had a problem. Evenso, they told me if anything happened, they stood behind their vehicles and would fix anything that went wrong or replace the car if something were to occur. That made us feel very comfortable and really helped push us to make our ultimate decision. I have already recommended David and this dealership to a family member looking to purchase a car and I would recommend this to anyone looking to purchase with a team that stands behind what they sell. 2007 Audi A4 : Anthony Hammond My first car was an Audi and it was a great car for me so, when the time came to purchase a new car, I was looking for an Audi as well. I went to different dealerships, including Audi on rt 18. At the Audi dealerhsip, I had a really bad experience. For work I dress in a suit and tie but on my days off, its sweats and sneakers. When I walked in, a young woman greeted me and asked a sales man to help me. When the man walked over, right away he looked me up and down and I could clearly assume what his expression suggested. As a customer, its really akward to have a sales representitive assume certain vehicles are'nt in your price range and this guy was just like that. It made me so angry! I didnt even bother sticking around, simply asked for his managers contact information and left. A friend of mine that purchased his car recently told me about 21 Century Auto Group. Being that I had not found a car yet, I figured it was worth checking out all of the spots and he got his car for a fantastic deal. When I first walked into 21 Century, a sales representitive by the name of Anthony walked over and very politely introduced himself. He asked me what type of car I was intrested in and I expressed to him that is was an Audi A4 or Audi A-8. Let's be realistic, some cars are really expensive and Audi's are usually pricey, even to maintain...but my mind was made up. Anthony showed me all of the Audi's available and we even sat down to look on the web at the 21 century website to see if any of those cars caught my interest. Anthony took his time and did'nt rush me or seem pushy. I was'nt expected to buy anything but he renforced that he wanted me to be comfortable and sure of the vehicle I would wanted to buy. Needless to say, I found my car at 21 Century Auto Group! I am a proud owner of a 2007 Audi A4 in black with a nice camel tone interior . Honestly, I would reccomend this place to anyone! Even if you dont know what kind of car you really want, their selection is great and the sales reps seem like honest people (which is hard to come by, trust me!) The price I got on my new car was awesome and they worked out the monthly payments. 21 Century Auto Group was the best dealership we visited. We purchased a 2001 Lexus Rx with this dealership about four months ago. I received an email from my salesman (Mark) asking to please rate my experience "so they would be able to work on any problems I had". I have to be honest, I usually don't write reviews but now that I think about it, the way I came across 21 Century in the first place was by internet. When my husband and I were in the market for a new car, we looked EVERYWHERE! We checked out different dealerships with all of the options possible before we made our purchase. Most of the dealerships we stopped by were nice and all but sometimes the staff was very pushy, at times rude and it felt a bit overwhelming. We wanted an SUV and found a couple we really liked but nothing compared to the one we purchased at 21 and the price, was incomparable. Mark was such a pleasure to deal with. His smile and enthusiasm really helped settle the anxiety of purchasing. He was very polite, and offered his opinions. Mark didn't try to sell us anything out of our price range and he showed us a couple of vehicles we really became interested in. At first we thought we would go with a car a Lexus ES but Mark understood the details of what we were exactly looking for and encouraged us to look at further inventory. We immediately fell in love with the Rx. I thought it was stylish yet spacey and had a better package. The price was OUTSTANDING! Mark offered us some beverages and really encouraged us to test drive the car before purchase, just to make sure it was what we expected, it definitely met our expectations! Marks commitment to his customers is evident in the manner in which he deals with them. Being the manager of the sales team, I feel Mark is a great asset and if his sales team is exemplified through him, they must all be great to work with. Four months later, we couldn't be happier with our car and our family WOULDN'T t hesitate to deal with this dealership again. 21 century auto is RELIABLE, has FANTASTIC DEALS, a WIDE RANGE OF INVENTORY and above all, they are EASY TO WORK WITH when looking to purchase or simply look around for future options. As much as car shopping can be fun, it can also be quite the nightmare! We recently moved to New Jersey from Florida and we wanted to purchase a family car to get around in. I have always been a sunshine state girl, born and raised so the big move was stressing on its own. My husband's job gave him a better oppurtunity and we took it. When we first began to look for cars, we basically drove around to different dealerships, looked at different cars and depending on what we saw, we kept note of it and moved onto the next place. By the time we reached 21 Century Auto, I felt like a pro dealing with ambitious and pushy cars salesman. My experiences with car dealerships wasnt the most pleasent. Most of them were pushy, and always tried to sell you something more expensive or "current" when you expressed an interest in something else. Both my husband and I went to this dealership together. A salesman approached us right away and offered his services. We walked around the dealership and the lot and looked at all kinds of different options. We took our time, didnt feel rushed and the sales associate seemed patient. He gave us his opinion when we asked and when we didint, he stayed quiet and gave us our space. My husband really liked an SUV, but being 5' 2...It did'nt really fit my desires of a vehicle, I preffered a car. I liked a 2007 Infiniti Coupe. Aaron our salesman, offered us to test drive it and afterwards, my husband agreed that this was the type of car we could both enjoy and use and the price was pretty good too. While filling out the paperwork, Aaron guided us with each step and helped us set up all the financial details. He was great! We were both very pleased with his customer service and even filled out a customer survey to show our appreciation we figured we would take it a step further and share our experience with people also looking to purchase. About three weeks after purchasing the car, the plates arrived. We met up with Aaron and again, he bothered to ask us how everything was, this was definatley the right way to go and as New New Jersians...we reccomend this dealership to anyone looking to make the right move with the right guys! - thank you Aaron! read more

On April 20th 2020, Denis Galeneco contacted me about my inquiry for a 2018 Toyota Camry SE. A few days later, I reached back to him and he informed me that the vehicle was still available. I asked on the phone if we could discuss pricing because I was in Georgia while he was in New Jersey, but he stated that pricing can only be discussed at the actual dealership. And so, on May 14th, I traveled to New Jersey to view the car. On the days leading up, I confirmed that I would be attending and he replied that he received it. On that day, I texted him that I would be a little late and he told me to come at 1:00 P.M. I said no problem. I arrived at 1:00 P.M. He was too busy to meet with me and so one of his co-workers did, instead. It turns out that the vehicle I had requested to see WASN'T even available - it failed an inspection that morning. Go figure? The Carfax was clean with no records of any accidents, recalls, or mechanical issues. I felt their professionalism was extremely egregious in not letting me know about the vehicle's condition until I arrived there! Denis also stated that he did not remember that I said that I was coming from Georgia (if you read other reviews, they have used this same underhanded tactic). I requested to meet with the manager and he tried to do the same bait-and-switch tactic that the co-worker did - tried to sell me different cars instead. I have never been to such a terrible dealership that also tries to incur THREE rebates that you must qualify for in order to get the internet pricing. And right before I left, the co-worker in an attempt to not look like the failure of the customer service that he provided stated, 'nothing changes' after the manager left. After reading reviews online, I was not surprised to see that others experienced this. This is the worst car-buying experience that I have ever undergone and I would like to let everyone know that they should stay away from this dealership - it is clear that the cars they sell are not in the condition that they seem online. Please note: After searching nationwide, this was my 4th BMW I was buying online "sight unseen" solely relying exclusively on John Garcia at 21st Century and Jacob the Service Advisor at BMW OF SPRINGFIELD next door to fully inspect the car inside and out for me for any blemishes, scratches, dents, dings, interior damage, body damage, or mechanical issues. And then in the end have the car shipped by car carrier to my Rockville, MD home. Both of these gentlemen took great care of me, especially John Garcia at 21st Century Auto Group. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BMW s. They are INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE CARS and INCREDIBLY FUN TO DRIVE. At 21st Century Auto Group, I was buying my dream car a 2012 BMW 750Li xDrive INDIVIDUAL COMPOSITION MODEL in Deep Green Metallic w/ Amaro Leather Interior & Honey Walnut Wood Trim. It's a gorgeous car! The Original MSRP was $118,445. I purchased the car with 42K miles for $39,000 EVEN WHILE "NOT" QUALIFYING FOR $2,500 WORTH OF THEIR STUPID SILLY NON-REBATES THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS "DO NOT" QUALIFY FOR. 21st Century Auto Group SHOULD DO AWAY WITH THOSE STUPID REBATES AS THEY REALLY DO IRRITATE THE HELL OUT OF CUSTOMERS AND "DRIVE DOWN" THEIR ONLINE REPUTATION. While John Garcia was incredibly helpful in the purchase process of my new 2012 BMW 750Li xDrive, my initial experience with another Sales Advisor "Justice" WAS NOT GOOD. For whatever reason JUSTICE WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY. I'm not really big on stopping by all different dealerships just to look at what they have. I figure, that gas at almost 4.10 a gallon is a bit too expensive then to be used driving around...its 2012 that's what the internet is for no? Anyways, I did visit quite a bit of online dealerships, contacted them via email and phone and also contacted 21 Century Auto Group about a car I really liked. When I called various different dealerships like Jaguar and Ray Catena, the sales reps were polite, amd always offered the best price but at one specific dealership, the sales rep gave me a higher price then the car was initially posted online for. Another dealership was great, except the salesman I dealt with, left me about 10 voicemails always trying to get me to come in and he would find something suitable or adjust the price, honestly, that comes off a bit creepy and I became skeptical and lost interest. The people at 21 Century were great to deal with. I called and spoke to Dalia the secretary, she transferred me to Andre and I dealt with him most of the time. Andre, was great he answered all of my questions and we set up an appointment for me to stop by. Basically, I stopped in with my wife and we test drove the car. Andre ran my credit, worked out a deal and we left home to think about it. Andre wasn't pushy and we spent about a week or so looking at different options. One day, I received a call from Dalia telling us they were having a Spring sale and the prices would be better. We looked online and plenty of the cars I had looked at before were cheaper then previously. Yesterday, I went to look at cars, I wasnt sure what I wanted so I looked at quite a few joints. I have been looking for a new car for quite some time and have porobably looked at over 15 dealerships in total! Some of the dealerships I checked out prior to this one were Dc Motors Kings Ray Catena Metro Honda Mercedes in Bridgewater Planet Honda and some others I cant recall at the moment. My last stop originally was JMK BMW, a friend of mine had purchased their car here and mentioned I should stop by, so I did. The dealership was nice but the prices were a bit out of my budget, the sales dudes were cool but I felt like they were ontop of me all the time as I looked around. Not Cool. My girldfriend noticed a dealership next door while driving back home, 21st Century Auto Group- we stopped by to check it out. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted. The dealership had an open lot in the front so we decided to walk around and check it out. The salesmen offered assistance but gave us our space and we took out sweet time. There were several cars that interested me right away, they even had my dream car- a silver 2010 BMW M6! FIRE!!!! I love it from the moment I laid eyes on it. Love at first site. Ali was the salesman that helped handle our sale. He showed me the car and insisted I test drive it. The crazy thing is, I had just seen the same car over at JMK and it had more miles and was priced over 2500 more. Crazy righ? Anyways my gf really liked Ali. He was professional, smart and an overall good businessman. He didnt push the car on me like other dealerships and he made sure we liked what we were buying. I couldnt pass this oppurtunity up and decided to buy my new baby here at 21 Century. Ali worked out the best price and I paid less then 62, 000. One word to describe me- THRILLED! We purchased a 2005 Cadillac Escalade with 95,000 miles from the Springfield NJ location. It failed MD state inspection for multiple issues, one being a very costly item. When we reached out to 21st century to see what they could do to assist us with these issues, we were continually told that we would receive a call back once the salesman had talked to someone about our problems. We never received a call back and called almost daily for three weeks. When we finally got ahold of someone that was in the position to help us, he was unwilling to help and spoke to us in a disrespectful and condescending manner. He told us it is not his fault that we do not have plates and tags. He said that it is our fault because we did not take it to inspection. In fact, we did have the vehicle inspected but it failed, which prompted us to make all those attempts to contact him. He said that he is the sales manager and if we had called sooner he could have offered to do the work for us at a discounted price. He then told us that he has been out of the office for 2 weeks since 12/23, although we had been calling prior to his vacation, but if we had called sooner he could have offered to do the work for us at a discounted price. The two week dealership tags expired 12/21 and with no response from 21st Century Auto we had no choice but to proceed with the largest repair. So since the sales manager did not return our calls before he went on vacation, we are now being offered no assistance with the predicament we are in and are left to remedy the situation on our own. Although the vehicle was bought as is, this is not the outcome we expected from a dealership that prides itself on quality vehicles and customer service as we heard repeatedly as we sat on hold. We are left with a vehicle that is not roadworthy. They are unwilling to help us in anyway besides offering a solution that would have only been viable had he called us back in a timely manner. read more

I was looking to purchase a car for my family for the past 2 months. I checked out different dealerships and looked at vehicles online. I used my optimum service to search for recommended vehicles and finally stopped searching dealership by dealership in total and saved us all the trips with the kids to different dealers. Our search online began and my family and I began to check out inventorys online. I found a few vehicles that really interested me but the car reports always had something sketchy that just didnt sit right with us. My brother in law has been a mechanic for almost 18 years and I reached out to him to help us find something. He said a customer of his always raved about a dealership in Springfield because he had purchased all of his cars there. 21 Century was the dealership and I easily found their website online. At first I was impressed by the dealership itself and their inventory. My wife and I looked at their virtual tour and really liked what we saw. I made an appointment with a salesman to stop by and look at 2 cars we really liked, one a car, the other an SUV. The service we recieved was fantastic and I was really happy with Greg (our salesman) he was very attentive and made sure he answered all of our questions. He took his time with us and was very professional. My wife was impressed with the car and the customer service and we decided to consult with my brother in law before purchasing. The 21 Century Staff were NOT at all pushy and gave us the time to look into finalizing our decision. We returned 2 days later and the car was still there. My brother in law thought it was a fantastic deal and we decided to go with it. We are very happy with our decision and very content that everything worked out perfectly. About a month ago, I was in an accident and unfortunately my car wastotaled. My insurance let me rent a car for a couple of weeks while theyfigured out what would happen with my car and the other persons insurancecovering the damage. WHAT A HASSLE!!! I was told my car was beyond repair andmy rental was beginning to run out so I began to check out differentdealerships. In the Princeton area (which is where we live) everything seems tobe more expensive. It's always been easier to check out cars online, and thenif you see something you like, go check it out. Gas is getting too expensive todrive from dealership to dealership. Very often, I would call a dealership andeven if I asked a few questions, they wanted me to come in and see the car, I wassimply trying to get details about the vehicles before stopping by. I saw a carthat interested me on the 21 century website. I called and spoke to a younglady, whom I assume is the secretary, she transferred my call to a sales repnamed Bavesh. I think that's how it'sspelled. He was very nice and gave me details on 3 different cars. I scheduledan appointment to stop by and he made himself available for the time that bestsuited me. The dealership is nice, the sales reps are friendly and Baveshwalked around with me to look at all of the cars that caught my interest. I wasn'tsure what I wanted, but I finally found an SUV that I really liked. My last carwas a Lexus and I rarely had problems with it so this time around I went with aLexus RX. I sat down with the finance manager and went over the details inorder to find a comfortable payment plan. Between the finance manager and thesales rep, I was very happy with their customer service and the SUV is reallynice for the deal they offered me.
