This place is a staple from my childhood. Still the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. Hash browns with gravy on top are also amazing. Good coffee, clean place, friendly service.

    Interior shot. Classic cafe.

Home style country folk food. Smothered Pork Chops with freshly baked biscuits, corn, and an iced tea. Very good!

Colorful, maximalist, and funky! I was greeted instantly by the bartender and we talked about the inspiration of the place, and how the sound system was right on for the theme. Let's hope they can get that vinyl system working with the digital monitors... that's always a tedious process! The food though, it brought it home. I got a to-go order and brought it home to my buddy who'd been working all morning. He took a bite and his eyes lit up man. I Love to see one of my guys visibly love good food. He got the fried chicken pozo while I got the meatball sub... once again. Bangers. This place has flavor. Aesthetically, and literally!! Go here. Go here. Go here.

The issue I have is they charge you for every extra, dipping sauce, extra charge , as a matter of fact the last time we were in the waiter, asked how I liked the pasta. I told him it was excellent he said what would you do different and I said perhaps a little more sauce but otherwise delicious. He brought some more sauce, which I thought was just wonderful over the top service till I got the bill and there was an up charge. I didn't ask for sauce, but I was charged for extra sauce, that's pretty shady :(

There was a mysterious macaroni noodle in my green beans, nothing crazy just silly and wanted to share. I wanted to try the cactus blossom again, but I didn't like the dipping sauce. The staff I've interacted with for curbside have been polite and apologetic when things run late. Unfortunately, the curbside to-go experience has been consistently frustrating. On multiple occasions, I've gotten the text notification that my order was ready, arrived within 5-10 minutes, checked in, and still waited 20-30 minutes in my parking spot for the food to be brought out. By the time I get home, everything is barely warm, which really takes away from what should be a good meal. It seems like the restaurant isn't set up well to handle curbside efficiently during busier times--whether it's staffing, coordination, or just prioritizing dine-in over to-go. Until the pickup process gets more reliable, I can't recommend ordering takeout here and choose another spot to-go in the future.

After eating, I see why it was packed. This place is great! We just HAD to try the "world famous" raspberry bean dip. You should too! I've been thinking about it ever since! Their burger menu is pretty impressive and they had several I want to try. However, I landed on the Aloha burger (thinking warm thoughts during this brisk Kansas winter). It was pretty tasty! Luckily, on my most recent visit, my girlfriend and I were able to be seated immediately. If you've never had a Nancy (light beer with a splash of pineapple juice), go ahead and order that first while you look at the menu. It isn't well known outside of Aggieville unless you are a KSU alum. Then order the raspberry chipotle black bean dip. It sounds odd, but is super good. On this visit, I tried "The Bird", which is a southwest chicken sandwich on a hoagie roll. It was super filling, and between that and the dip, I wasn't able to finish everything. Must stop in Aggieville (at least during the daylight hours).
