I really enjoyed my meal from Salata. I got a wrap and it's just a great feeling to be able to put whatever I want in my wrap. I had lettuce, kale, spicy chicken, chikpeas, edamame beans, onions, eggs and some sort of dressing. The dressing was a bit much and lady asked me if I wanted two laddles of it and I only got abou half of one laddle, so yea probably even less on the dressing next time! My only gripe was that there was no plain tortilla and no tofu as a protein option. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would love a tofu option for my salad or wrap! But they had some good options. The chicken was great. And for the tortilla, would have loved just plain flour. I opted for the cucumber flavored one which was probably the safest choice based on the other options. Will probably be back again because its such a healthy option and so fresh. Also, I always love their croissants!! Oh - also forgot to mention that I had their chocolate chip cookie. Today, September 12th 2023 about 8:00 p.m. or so I just came back from the same location which I probably would not go back ever again to that one if I can help it. So I went in today and the girls were nice Got my large salad and we are laughing and smiling back and forth about the toppings, so I get to the register (I do check in on Yelp) and when you check in sometime you receive free coupons.  So today I tried to use my free protein that salata has put on Yelp for customers to use; I'm in front of the girl and I literally push redeem now and she said we Don't take it. The confused looked on my face was priceless I asked her why not I've used it before? I told her It's Yelp You get a free protein when you check in check-in. So another girl comes over and I tell her and they kept saying It's not this location, I told her This is the one that I mostly come to because it's on the way from work. So when I check in sometimes I get a free protein. Basically they kept telling me no.  I asked her if there was a manager there she said no. I asked Can I have the manager name and number? She said she can't give that out but I can write your information. I said well what's corporate's number She didn't know that either. She said I've been here 5 months, I said well if you been here 5 months you should know this information already. So that's going on back and forth. Then I proceed to say well Can you make me another salad? I'm not going to take it when I can't have a free protein. So another lady maybe the lead I'm not sure comes in from the back and asks what's going on. Is everything okay? I told her no!  I told her I have a free protein from Yelp that I can use. Then she says we can't use that It doesn't have our logo. I told her ma'am this is Yelp I literally went back to the main screen of Yelp and showed her This is Yelp. When you click on it it has salata right here and it says One free protein. You push redeem now  the timer goes down like a countdown; and it says show to an employee or a owner to redeem. I told her This is what you get when you check in. So then she says I'm going to give it to you because I don't want anybody to leave mad. I'm just going to take a picture and send it to my manager. I said Okay so she calls her manager and I'm assuming the manager said Yes We do take it because she said Okay. Yes we do and I told her I know because I've used one before. Then what I'm mostly pissed about is that I have "had" a reward of $7. She's the one that comes out to call the manager or the lead lady. Not sure what she is; tells me my total and proceeds to put the $7 while my card is in there. So what does it do? Takes the $7 off! All I could do was pause and put my head down because I didn't want to go off. I said Did I ask you or did I tell you that I wanted to use my $7 reward? She says no I'm sorry I'm Sorry- sorry is not going to get it when I didn't tell you to use it. My reward didn't expire till "well" Did expire in November. I wanted to wait to November now I don't have a $7 reward. I don't know if she tried to reverse it or whatever but it already took it out because my card was already in there but I never told her to use it. I love coming here for lunch and picking out my own salad! The ingredients are fresh and appetizing. Base salad price starts at $7 for small and $8 for regular. I like mixing spinach, kale, romaine and the spring mix together. They have tons of add-ons including bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, edamame, snow peas, beets, beans, olives, and fruits. Each item is clearly labeled with a name, calories and price if it costs extra. Some items that cost extra include: meat (seafood, turkey, chicken), tofu, falafel, quinoa, and avocado. My salad varies from $11-$12, but it's very filling and satisfying. Bread is also included with the salad and the multigrain croissant is delicious! The food was okay (it's a salad). I went at lunch time and it wasn't very busy. That said, service wasn't an issue. However, the reason for a 1 star is because I got sick a day after. This was my first visit to any Salata for lunch today. All I knew was that is specialized in salad and wasn't a buffet like Sweet Tomatoes. My first choice was the size of my salad with a small for $7 or a regular for $8. Of course I went with the larger of the two and then requested what type of lettuce and fruits and vegetables, salad dressing, croutons, etc. to be added. When I came to the meat section, I decided to add the herb marinated chicken for $3 more and then saw the one scoop of it added to my meal. Not adding any other extra cost items, I checked out adding a soft drink and with tax it was $14 and change. After filling my drink cup at the self serve station and finding a seat, I notice that my total salad was quite large. Mental note to myself is next time go with the small even though it only saves $1. The salad was good in taste and like I said plenty big enough. The $3 of diced chicken was somewhat lost in the overall salad and I don't think I would order it again. My main problem with the meal was that my total cost was over $14 for a large salad and drink. If I return, it will be to cut out the meat to save that $3 at least. And maybe go with the small size but even then, I think this chain is overpriced. There is construction in the parking lot which is annoying but we still found a spot. I really wish the lemons weren't cut in like sixteenth. Salata is a good lunch spot if you are looking to go a little lighter with a salad/wrap. They offer to-go pickup, which is really nice if you can't be away from the office too long. There are lots of popular restaurants in this strip center, so parking may look intimidating, but I have never had an issue finding a spot (especially if you do to-go; there are reserved spots for that). They offer 3 options: $7 small salad, $7 wrap, or $8 large salad. From there, you choose your lettuce base, veggie add ons (free), cheese/dressings (free), and then protein + sides (additional cost). Overall, it does come out a little pricey if you add on chicken/protein and a drink (maybe about $12 total), but, the quality is good so it is worth it to indulge every once in a while - even if it is just on a salad. read more

This past weekend was my first time at Salata, and I really enjoyed it. My best friend goes to another location frequently and has been mentioning this place for so long. I finally tried it, and my salad was a good size and tasted great. I like the fact that it is similar to a salad bar except they put the toppings on for you. You can pick whether you want to be placed on a small salad ($7) or regular ($8). Of course I chose the regular size which I feel is significantly bigger so it is worth the $1. They have so many options - leafy green selections, veggies, fruits, nuts, protein, and more. By the time you are done completing your salad, you can practically have two servings. I love the selection of dressings and how it gives you the calorie breakdown for every ingredient. This helps with calorie consumption and portion sizes. The chicken/meat selection is a bit pricey in my opinion. It's an extra $3 which is a bit steep but at least the chicken is in large chunks and there is a wide variety. Everything tastes fresh! Salata reminds me of an upscale salad bar or salad buffet with a really neat concept. I would definitely try it out again because I enjoyed the atmosphere and the selection was great. I will probably get it without the chicken to see how it turns out. I also forgot to mention that the croissant type piece of bread that you get with your order is DELICIOUS! It's complimentary too! I wouldn't have known if my best friend didn't mention it to me because they didn't tell me but I'm so glad I asked for it. read more

I really really like Salata, but this location tries my patience every time I come here. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly enough, but they are the stingiest Salata I have ever been to. Ask for peas and they give you ten single peas if your lucky, same with every topping on the salad bar. Not sure if the owner of this location has the staff do this to control food cost, but you have to ask constantly to get more than just a thimble full of toppings. If I have time I will drive to the location on 290 near 1960, same food but you don't have to beg to get a fair amount of toppings that you as the customer pays for. read more

Awesome! This was my very first visit here, introduced by another Yelper, and a great choice if I may say so myself. So this is a full salad bar with various of choices, and as you walk the line, informing the staff what you will like to add in your salad. Yes you build your own salad, which I truly appreciate, because some days you don't want to purchase all the items that comes on a salad bar for you to make at home. You may not feel like eating those same foods the next day, and then what happens, blup, they go to waste. So why not let Salata, fix it for you! Seating, and restrooms are very spacious, parking, because it is located with so many other restaurants can be a little hectic, or it could have been that we chose to visit during lunch rush hour, and had to ride around a few time to find a space, how about you visit and let me know. I come out of this place STUFFED if I get the large salad and I feel very full with a small salad but that might be because I get a lot of topping on mine. I go to school in Austin and this is the first place I stop for food on the way home, ALL THE TIME! This is not your regular salad bar. Everything just feels different. I don't know what's in the greens but they're so good! I've been coming back to Salata at least three times a month for the past two years! (this should keep you coming back) I have started sticking with the small salad, only romain hearts for the greens, then celery, carrots, alfalfa, corn, garbanzo, parmesan, sun dried tomatoes, dried cranberries, apples and top it off with balsamic vinaigrette. Then, I add Asian BBQ chicken and add extra crab meat (this can make the salad pretty pricey). Lastly, I get sesame sticks (my favorite part) and croutons! This location is a hit or miss. I don't understand why this location sucks so bad sometimes. The parking is a death trap during lunch rush hour because there's a Potbelly, Chik-fil-A, Whataburger, Chipotle, LA Fitness, and Smoothie King in this plaza. Tons of cars, in and out, all directions. Seriously a hot mess so come at 11am or after 1pm to avoid the crowds. Portions are skimpy for what you pay, but I like the convenience and variety. I usually order and pay online, so I can just roll in and grab my order. I think it depends on the manager working that day. Either my order is ready to go, the line seems to be moving rather quickly, and it's a positive, busy environment. Other days, I see people waiting for their pre-ordered salads in the corner, the line seems super slow and backed up, and people are grumpy. It's happened to me before where no one had even looked at my pre-ordered salad UNTIL I arrived and they sent it to the back of the line, making me wait a half hour while I hear excuses like "It's almost done!" or "Oh, we didn't see this order til now."
