After all the holiday food, we were craving healthy. I stopped by Salata for two large salads. We went all out in the fixings category, the salads were super heavy. All the ingredients were chopped fresh and plentiful. The fruit and nuts we added to the salads pushed them over the top. I added chipotle shrimp, chicken and turkey to my husbands salad. My salad had chipotle shrimp, pesto chicken and turkey. Toppings included cucumber, tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms, bean sprouts, corn, olives, eggs, mixed and feta cheese, apples, grapes, strawberry and pineapple. As if that wasn't enough I added pasta and bacon bits. Good thing it wasn't sold by the pound. The buttermilk ranch and chipotle dressings are my faves. Actually all of their dressing is good. I wish they still sold them by the bottle. I cannot find a great bottled dressing for me. Also get the pita chips on the side so they stay crunchy. They had soup but I didn't get any. Two salads and two cookies came out to 53.00 but will be about 3 meals for my husband and possibly 4 for me. This is a great deal. We ate the salads twice yesterday and still have enough leftover for dinner today. The trick is to not put the dressing on the whole salad so it stays crispy. read more

This was my first visit to a Salata and I must say, I love the concept! It's so much fun being able to pick and choose from the wide array and variety of toppings! I, for one, love options so this is a true treat for me! The variety of meats is also impressive! I view it as the Subways of salads. Our service was great! We walked straight up and were served right away. And we moved our salads quickly down the line. The hardest part was deciding between all the options. The one criticism I will say is that I wish they had more of a variety of soft bread options: pita bread, roll, croissant, soft baguette. They only had hard bread options like bread sticks and I'm a soft bread lover. I feel like this would just elevate the entire salad experience. The salad was a good size and I was able to eat off of it for more than one meal so I'd say that's worth the price for the amount and variety of options. I'd definitely return. read more

This was a super late lunch stop. I just had my hair appointment and missed lunch, so I stopped by around 4:30 pm and the place was clean and had fresh food out. As I entered, I was greeted. I walked up to clearly labled salad or wrap options. They stated the size and price. I could asked for more radishes and egg or ask for little bit of red onions. The small salad was a perfect size since I also wanted a bowl of soup. They had 3 soup options that day, I do not know if they change daily. They have "protein" a.k.a. meat (because there is protein in dairy and beans) for extra $3 (chicken) or $4 (seafood). Such a great place, especially if you want to start the year healthy. I know what you're thinking salad I can make that at home, but sometimes we get lazy and we just want to be healthy so I decided to go to SALATA. I think the customer service is ok, and the ingredients were really fresh this is a great if you want to eat healthy in the go & if you want to sit inside the place has open windows and an overall good vibe. Made my first mobile order for this location, it said 18 minutes I gave them 30. 5 people in the restaurant eating, three people in the line. told them I was there for my mobile order and they said coming right up and they went to go make it. Completely ridiculous that it wasn't there waiting for me when I arrived. Next to make it even worse I'm sitting and waiting slipping through my phone on the gram. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Good healthy lunch option - however you hold all the cards in terms of how healthy it ends up being. You build your salad from greens to toppings to protein to dressing. While choices are good, it would be helpful if there were a few "staff favorites" or suggested combinations to use as a starting point. For context, there are 4-5 choices for greens, ~40 different toppings, ~8 protein options (including vegan choices), ~8 dressings and 3-4 kinds of bread. It can be stressful the first couple goes since there are lots of decisions to make - more than the typical chipotle for example. Key is to pick a theme (in your head) for your salad at the beginning so the flavored fit together. Soups are just ok, but then again it's called Salata not Soupata. Nice and clean! This is the first Salata I have been to that asks for a tip at checkout. I'm sorry for what? You have to ask for extra anything. The spoons are usually caked with whatever so it's not like you get a spoon full anyway. When you ask it's seems to bother them. This is concurrent in all Salata's. I'm sorry but I am not tipping a salad bar. That would be like tipping at James Coney Island, or golden corral. Fresh and healthful, clean and inviting. Can get very crowded during lunch, so be prepared. The only real downside of Salata is the only two fat free dressings are the Sun Dried Tomato and the Mango. Limit your dressing, this is where the calories will get you (well, and the bacon). Choose from their many ingredients to make a salad or wrap exactly the way you want it. And you've absolutely got to try that tomato basil soup at least once (you will want it more than once). It's a little pricey, but this fills a need to help me eat better, and still appeals to my laziness about cooking. My time is worth a few bucks. Its basically like a subway where you have your wrap or salad built the way you like it. The veggies and salad toppings were fresh and I enjoyed my salad down to the last bite. However there is some room for improvement. Like others have mentioned, when you ask for toppings expect a pinch of said toppings. Price wise I think its fair, but do keep in mind I'm happy with a small salad. Outdoor seating is always a plus, but when summer rolls in the A/C is nice and cool. You get your choice of greens, legumes, veggies, protein (if you want) and bread is included. $7 for a 'small' bowl, $8 for a 'regular' bowl and $2 for chicken/$3 for seafood. The dressings they offer were nice and tasty and everything blended together nicely...but again, it's all up to you and what you want on your salad. Granted, this is not like a buffet style salad place where you put your own salad together. Instead, it's more like a Subway style place where you tell your salad artist what you want on your salad as you're walking down the line. If youre going to charge me $11 for a salad, at least give me $11 worth of food. 7 grape halves, I couldn't even get 7 whole grapes after its sliced. Less than a teaspoon of each topping.
