Healthy eating. Service and atmosphere: Very good service. Both staff members were polite, friendly and helpful. The place was clean, organised and played good music. Pricing: $ - definitely worth visiting considering the amount of food and affordable prices. read more

Salata - Salad Near Me - Houston, Texas

After all the holiday food, we were craving healthy. I stopped by Salata for two large salads. We went all out in the fixings category, the salads were super heavy. All the ingredients were chopped fresh and plentiful. The fruit and nuts we added to the salads pushed them over the top. I added chipotle shrimp, chicken and turkey to my husbands salad. My salad had chipotle shrimp, pesto chicken and turkey. Toppings included cucumber, tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms, bean sprouts, corn, olives, eggs, mixed and feta cheese, apples, grapes, strawberry and pineapple. As if that wasn't enough I added pasta and bacon bits. Good thing it wasn't sold by the pound. The buttermilk ranch and chipotle dressings are my faves. Actually all of their dressing is good. I wish they still sold them by the bottle. I cannot find a great bottled dressing for me. Also get the pita chips on the side so they stay crunchy. They had soup but I didn't get any. Two salads and two cookies came out to 53.00 but will be about 3 meals for my husband and possibly 4 for me. This is a great deal. We ate the salads twice yesterday and still have enough leftover for dinner today. The trick is to not put the dressing on the whole salad so it stays crispy. read more

Salata - southwest Wrap - Salad Near Me - Houston, Texas

Food is great, but delivery punctuality is sketchy. Do not count on their delivery time.

Great fresh food, and extremely hospitable staff, highly reccomend. The salads are huge!

After an 18 hour road trip, I got a flat tire 25 minutes away from home. I had a Salata order placed, so I called and asked if they could put it outside or something since I wouldn't be able to make it until 9. They waited for me until 9:50 PM to give me my order!!! What a nice ending to a not fun evening. And of course it was delicious as well. Thank you to the amazing employees. read more

This was my first visit to a Salata and I must say, I love the concept! It's so much fun being able to pick and choose from the wide array and variety of toppings! I, for one, love options so this is a true treat for me! The variety of meats is also impressive! I view it as the Subways of salads. Our service was great! We walked straight up and were served right away. And we moved our salads quickly down the line. The hardest part was deciding between all the options. The one criticism I will say is that I wish they had more of a variety of soft bread options: pita bread, roll, croissant, soft baguette. They only had hard bread options like bread sticks and I'm a soft bread lover. I feel like this would just elevate the entire salad experience. The salad was a good size and I was able to eat off of it for more than one meal so I'd say that's worth the price for the amount and variety of options. I'd definitely return. read more

This was a super late lunch stop. I just had my hair appointment and missed lunch, so I stopped by around 4:30 pm and the place was clean and had fresh food out. As I entered, I was greeted. I walked up to clearly labled salad or wrap options. They stated the size and price. I could asked for more radishes and egg or ask for little bit of red onions. The small salad was a perfect size since I also wanted a bowl of soup. They had 3 soup options that day, I do not know if they change daily. They have "protein" a.k.a. meat (because there is protein in dairy and beans) for extra $3 (chicken) or $4 (seafood). Such a great place, especially if you want to start the year healthy. I could eat here everyday! Can't wait to come back again! read more

I love how big the salads are and the variety of sides is endless. Line is fast, staff are friendly. The only downside is it's very pricy so I only go on special occasions. read more

As I was traveling for business, was so happy to see there was a Salata close by! The ingredients looked and tasted perfect! SOO delicious and fresh. Very clean and the staff was busy cleaning outside and inside of the restaurant. Such a huge salad for the $$. 5 stars for this location!! read more

I have been to the Salata at 290 and FM1960 (19708 Nw Fwy) a couple of times. I have never been there during peak times. No complaints about the service. The staff have always been friendly to me. The food was good too. read more

I know what you're thinking salad I can make that at home, but sometimes we get lazy and we just want to be healthy so I decided to go to SALATA. I think the customer service is ok, and the ingredients were really fresh this is a great if you want to eat healthy in the go & if you want to sit inside the place has open windows and an overall good vibe. The prices were a little bit bogus my meal was $16.00. But it's always like that when you try to eat healthy food if you want to eat unhealthy go to her McDonald's. read more

Made my first mobile order for this location, it said 18 minutes I gave them 30. 5 people in the restaurant eating, three people in the line. told them I was there for my mobile order and they said coming right up and they went to go make it. Completely ridiculous that it wasn't there waiting for me when I arrived. Next to make it even worse I'm sitting and waiting slipping through my phone on the gram. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Finally I get up and go over to the counter and there's food in the bag which was mine, that they didn't even tell me was done. Thanks so much for making this such a speedy trip ‍ read more

Looking for a healthy alternative? Meet Salata. This is an assembly line salad bar with servers adding anything you want to your salad. Choose any combination of greens, add any (or every conceivable) veggie, choose an optional protein, pick your dressing and dive in! Salads run from $8-$12 (depending on your protein choice). Salata isn't necessarily a cheap lunch, but for an extra couple of bucks you can get healthy food instead of a fried greaseburger. Not as much fun, but nowhere near as much guilt. Our service was excellent. Our salad ingredients were fresh. I'd certainly recommend Salata if you're watching what you eat. Even if you're not- it's a great change of pace. Just watch out for the toppings and add-ons. Nuts, cheese, ranch or blue cheese dressing will turn your healthy bounty into a calorie fest. read more

One of the best locations I've ever been too, definitely the cleanest and best ran with top notch customer service.

I've eaten at a lot of Salatas in Houston, Med Center, Memorial City, River Oaks, but never have I been to one where they count how many shrimp they give you. And pita chips-I got 4. I guess I'll get my salad on the way home instead of in my neighborhood. read more

Great food, healthy, consistently good. Atmosphere good, location easy to access. Friendly service!

Good healthy lunch option - however you hold all the cards in terms of how healthy it ends up being. You build your salad from greens to toppings to protein to dressing. While choices are good, it would be helpful if there were a few "staff favorites" or suggested combinations to use as a starting point. For context, there are 4-5 choices for greens, ~40 different toppings, ~8 protein options (including vegan choices), ~8 dressings and 3-4 kinds of bread. It can be stressful the first couple goes since there are lots of decisions to make - more than the typical chipotle for example. Key is to pick a theme (in your head) for your salad at the beginning so the flavored fit together. Soups are just ok, but then again it's called Salata not Soupata. Outdoor and indoor seating available. read more

Don't ask for anything extra even if you're willing to pay for it. I asked to buy an extra small cup of ranch and the FOUR people standing behind the counter could not understand buying extra ranch. They whispered back and forth to the point I just said forget it. Paying $9 for a salad abs not even able to get extra ranch will make this our LAST visit here. read more

The salad here is very fresh and the protein add one's are amazing. I had to ask for a few extras on my choices as if they were trying to give me as little as possible but it was still very good! The extra charge for artichoke I did pay but won't next time. I think it should be included... read more

Always happy with their salads. They serve five stars for their assortment of toppings!! They could have more green options but otherwise it's good. They also don't steep you for everything you add which I like. It's an order at the counter kind of place so it's usually fast and easy to grab a meal read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. I'm a huge fan of salads so this is always my go-to place. I love fact that you can order online and it'll be ready for pick up instead of having to wait inline during the lunch rush. However their site was down today so I was prompted to call and place my order. The employee who answered the phone was very rude in telling me they do not take over the phone orders. Well your site tells me different! I would rate it 5 stars if it wasn't for this inconvenience. Anyways- if you're looking for a delicious salad, this is definitely the place! read more

Love this place. Quick and easy pick ups. Saves me time and calories! Order ahead of time to save even more time!

i checked in and still got he free protein if you all do not honor please take it off, i will still ask for it

For the prices to be so high for a freaking salad, one would think they wouldn't be so stingy with the topping.. damn! You'd swear it was coming out their pay checks. I'm paying $15 for a salad I'm getting how much I want on it..... not like I'm asking for more protein it's just veggies and fruits... geesh! read more

Nice and clean! This is the first Salata I have been to that asks for a tip at checkout. I'm sorry for what? You have to ask for extra anything. The spoons are usually caked with whatever so it's not like you get a spoon full anyway. When you ask it's seems to bother them. This is concurrent in all Salata's. I'm sorry but I am not tipping a salad bar. That would be like tipping at James Coney Island, or golden corral. Sorry I may sound rude but it's not happening. $8 for a veggie salad and you want a tip!! read more

Salata - Salad Near Me - Houston, Texas

Fresh and healthful, clean and inviting. Can get very crowded during lunch, so be prepared. The only real downside of Salata is the only two fat free dressings are the Sun Dried Tomato and the Mango. Limit your dressing, this is where the calories will get you (well, and the bacon). Choose from their many ingredients to make a salad or wrap exactly the way you want it. And you've absolutely got to try that tomato basil soup at least once (you will want it more than once). It's a little pricey, but this fills a need to help me eat better, and still appeals to my laziness about cooking. My time is worth a few bucks. Between Vintage Park and Crossroads, we go to Salata about 4 times a week. read more

I have to say eating at Salata made me feel good inside. My tummy was happy, my wallet was happy, and my weight scale was happy. The reviews on Yelp are spot on! Its basically like a subway where you have your wrap or salad built the way you like it. The veggies and salad toppings were fresh and I enjoyed my salad down to the last bite. However there is some room for improvement. Like others have mentioned, when you ask for toppings expect a pinch of said toppings. Price wise I think its fair, but do keep in mind I'm happy with a small salad. Outdoor seating is always a plus, but when summer rolls in the A/C is nice and cool. Now if you want some ideas, my tastebuds prefer spinach with spring mix, broccoli, beansprouts, chestnuts, tofu, all the fruits, cucumbers, blue cheese, croutons, sesame seed sticks, and ranch dressing! Yummm, now a salad doesn't sound bad after all, eh? read more

Okay, so I read the reviews and decided to try this place and wow..the salad I had was amazing. My salad was $10 but came with all the veggies I could want and some chicken. Not bad considering you'll be paying more at other salad places for mediocre salad choices. Located near the corner of 290 and 1960, this little place...and I do mean little...does a booming business during lunch. The line can literally go out the door and for good reason...the salads here are pretty amazing! You get your choice of greens, legumes, veggies, protein (if you want) and bread is included. $7 for a 'small' bowl, $8 for a 'regular' bowl and $2 for chicken/$3 for seafood. The dressings they offer were nice and tasty and everything blended together nicely...but again, it's all up to you and what you want on your salad. Granted, this is not like a buffet style salad place where you put your own salad together. Instead, it's more like a Subway style place where you tell your salad artist what you want on your salad as you're walking down the line. You pick and choose your veggies and the salad person puts those items in your bowl for you...then at the end...tosses your salad for you...voila! read more

Salata is always great. The only downside is how little they give you which caused it to lose 2 stars. If youre going to charge me $11 for a salad, at least give me $11 worth of food. 7 grape halves, I couldn't even get 7 whole grapes after its sliced. Less than a teaspoon of each topping. I understand you dont want to give someone too much just in case they order every single topping but you dont have to be chintzy about it... Also, if you already put the topping in the salad, don't take it out! You get a little heavy handed once in a while, it's okay. Your boss won't kill you. read more

They are extremely stingy with how much food they give you! And it's insanely unorganized in there you can tell as soon as lunch hits they don't know what to do! They have left me in line while they answer a phone multiple times ! They need more staff and to be way more organized! read more

I fell in love with salata the first time that I ate there and I found myself back again within the next week!! The concept is SO simple; You can choose whether you want a salad or a wrap, and from then on you can choose whatever other ingredients that you want to add. You can also choose a bread or soup to go along with your meal. The peach lemonade is wonderful!! - Very sweet and refreshing. For those wanting to keep the numbers on the scale down or are looking for a great post workout meal, I would recommend giving salata a try. read more
