The salad itself is around $17. adding other ingredients is an upcharge of three dollars for each item which is steep. My salad came out to $30 almost for adding beets, avocado, and squash and mind you these are very small spoonfuls to the salad. For a $30 salad I expect all my toppings to be on it. I waited in line for 40 minutes and when I finally got to the counter they told me they were closed and refused to serve me. This place is perfect every single time. Clean, well-organized restaurant right off of route 202. Friendly employees. The ingredients at this location are always fresh. I'd never been to this location before today and am happy to say my daughter and I had a great experience when we stopped in for a quick takeout lunch. We both got combos - she got the vegetable soup and a Caesar salad and I had the butternut squash soup and a southwestern type salad called something cabo. We opted for wheat rolls on the side. Everything was perfect and delicious, and the service was great. I don't get out that way much but will definitely stop in here again sometime if I get the chance. She dropped my rolls on the floor mid nod, proceeded to charge me for the guys salad behind me after I told her it was his(she literally just made his and was talking to him) he came in after me and it was clear we were not together. Then proceeded to ask me what dressing I wanted on HIS SALAD. She still brought it over to me after I had already been waiting at the register with my salads for a few minutes. She then handed me back two dimes after i told her multiple times she owed me 10$ back, she fidgeted with the cash for a few moments and then her eyes closed and she nodded forward almost falling. Her words were slurred and she was clearly not responding to anything I was saying. There were multiple witnesses to this and the lady in front of me was also telling her how much change to give her. It's just Inexcusable and super inappropriate especially handling people's money and food. Horrible experience and I frequent this place often as it's right next to my job. Visit: Saturday November 26,2016 12 of us loved it here. Let me elaborate that point. These were 12 women! Do you realize how hard that is ? ( Tongue in Cheek). We gang of 12 gather monthly for lunch and whatever else pops up This was #ShopSmallSaturday so we needed to be fueled!! .We were the first 12 to get in line when they opened and the 3 behind the counter weren't even fazed to see a crowd. One took 3 orders, while 2 started meal prep and then the first one jumped in and assisted with the prep. Then she jumped out, took 3 more orders and repeated the process until all meals were made. 12 hungry women were seated with their soups/and or salads/and or sandwiches in way under 10 minutes. She was kind, courteous, and put just the right amount of portions on my plate (c'mon other reviewers - this isn't a damn buffet - they aren't going to fill your plate w/ whatever you want for a minimal charge). The salad was throughly mixed and done quickly. The lady at the checkout (Caryn, maybe?) was incredibly nice and courteous as well. Overall food opinion: I am a HUGE fan of the salad chain 'Chop't'. The salads and the ingredients are the best I have had for a salad restaurant- so my expectations were set a bit high. While the ingredient layout left very little to be desired, the quality was just good. Bacon was a bit over done (hard, burnt taste) and the cheese (Swiss) was a bit large. Soup was more like eating pizza sauce, and less like actual bisque - but the flavor was good and I (fortunately) love pizza sauce... Overall visit opinion - I'd come back if it were on my way to where I was going and hungry. I don't know if I would go out of my way to eat here - but I wouldn't avoid it. SaladWorks is not a make-it-yourself salad bar, rather a cafeteria style selection of their favorite combinations named after various unknown people or places (i.e. 'The Jake' or 'The Santa Fe' etc. ) You get almost any selection you could thank of for your salad, from a variety of beans to at least four types of greens, real ground bacon, large grated cheddar; the customer tells the line servers what he/she wants and you watch it being made. Pretty simple, straight forward. They offer a variety of soft drinks and bottled water and there is a massive, clean dining room to enjoy your greens if you prefer not to take it away with you. The one negative I found here was the price. Salads are all one size with no option to order a small salad; perhaps they figure it isn't worth it or cost productive. But at $10 for a salad and a very small bottle of water, I found this a bad option for lunch every day. Then again, fruits and vegetables in this country are incredibly over-priced which leads so many people to eat crappy, bad food. A-okay place for a great healthy lunch or dinner, but not a great daily choice if you're watching your wallet as closely as your waist line. read more

On July 3rd 2020 I placed an order at Saladworks. The food was good, but as others have complained about, my order was missing a brownie that was ordered. I decided to ride my motorcycle over to pick up the missing brownie. Unfortunately I never made it. I suffered what should have been a fatal accident on Foulk Rd. I was airlifted to Christiana with 8 broken ribs, a broken collarbone, and a severe brain injury. Generous salad portions for a reasonable price. There is a large selection of salad ingredients too. The employees are always pleasant and welcoming. I often stop by this place on my way home from work (around 7pm), and sometimes it is crowded and takes a little longer to get through the line; however, the meal is worth the wait.
