More and more Saladworks just isn't living up to what it used to be. Stopped by this location as we thought a dedicated store would be a better option than the ones we visited in the Giants in Harrisburg. Only 2 other people dining here on a Thursday around 6pm and one getting a to go order. A man looked at us and continued to refill some toppings on the bar before gruffly asking "What'ya want?" I repeated my order twice as I didn't think he heard me and he just said "I heard you the first time. I wanted to know for here or to go?" He then preceded to fill my husbands order while another girl came from the register to help me. I ordered a Bentley salad with lobster bisque only to find out they were out of the soup so I went without that. Portion wise its mostly lettuce with a tablespoon of toppings (5 max) and dressing. You can add more toppings but at almost $1 each I don't think its worth the price. Location is small and quiet, we could hear almost every conversation. They did do a lot of take out so I think the dine in is just if you're really hungry. May or may not be back. Depends if their prices keep going up. read more

Not very fresh! For $14, It has chix breast from a bag. I am limited to what I can have on my salad because of allergies. I had mix of lettuces, Cucumbers, Onion, Roasted broccoli. I visited the Lititz Saladworks around 6:30 PM on Saturday, August 1, and had one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time. My husband walked up to the counter ready to place an order, but there was no one at the register. We could clearly hear several employees in the back room laughing and talking, yet no one came out to acknowledge us or even say, "We'll be right with you." We waited for about five minutes before deciding to leave because it was obvious no one was interested in helping paying customers. The most disappointing part was that as soon as we walked out, one of the employees came out--not to serve us, but seemingly to make sure we had actually left. This wasn't a busy rush with overwhelmed staff. It felt like the employees simply chose to ignore customers. If this is the level of service being provided, management needs to address it immediately. We won't be returning, and I certainly can't recommend this location to anyone expecting even basic customer service. read more

Although the salads are very good and you can choose your toppings there are a few big downfalls. 1. For a salad that costs a whopping $12 the portion is quite skimpy. The thin plastic bowl it comes in has a massive slant so the top looks like a lot but the bottom is a very small amount of food and is even raised in the middle 1/4 inch so you get even less. 2. Also for a $12 salad if you ask for some extra topping they use a little portion cup and do not give you any extra. 3. They provide a tiny little cup of dressing for the salad. If you ask for one more they want to charge about $1.25 for it. You can get a whole bottle of dressing at the store for about that price 4. The crew serving me were as bland as a dead fish. I was being very friendly. The girl never smiled the entire time I was served but did say thank you. Overall I was quite disappointed with the experience or value. read more

I won't be back. Why? Here are my reasons: 1. Stupid me. I thought with the name "Saladworks," I might be able to find good vegetarian/vegan options. But no. There was one vegetarian salad that I had to make vegan by omitting the cheese. They did have a vegan soup and a vegetarian soup. Let's not even talk about their sandwiches. 2. Their prices are ridiculous. I got a bowl of lettuce, a few different veggies with some chickpeas and a roll along with a bottle of water for over $10. That's crazy. 3. I'm not going to say I got food poisoning but I will say that just an hour or two later of eating there, my stomach gave me problems and I didn't feel well for quite a while. TMI So, no. The minute I walked into this location I knew that I was going to have to write a review. My mother had a coupon but because it was "$9 salad day" coupons were out. My the ingredients looked bad..I mean, bad. The salad was brown. the avacados were disgusting and brown. I commented on the salad being brown but I was ignored as they were filling up my mother's salad. I then said again that I wanted spring mix only because the salad was brown -- still no comment. I got edamane.. I counted. 14 of them. Brussels sprouts, about 5 and then some peppers and jalapenos and onions. I asked how much it was to add on. Yeah, $1.99 per item. Don't know what they're smoking. The salad was really pathetic -- so was my mother's. There was hardly anything there. And I am not one that goes for quantity usually. I prefer quality but this salad was the size of a side salad that you get someplace like Outback. Definitely felt that I was eating someone's left over salad from the day before dredged from the bottom shelf of some employee's work fridge. The bread tasted sweet and wasn't good either. This, along with the fact that the staff was completely ignorant to what I was pointing out about the freshness of their pathetic offerings, makes me really want to give this no stars. Take your caboose over to Moe's and get your money's worth. Give this place a wide berth unless you enjoy old food and feel the need to eat as soon as you leave. When I walked into this establishment I had high hopes. The girl making my food was extremely disrespectful to me. As I was ordering she was talking under her breath about how I should've been more thankful towards her. So the registered trademark says "America's best salads" Apparently no one at the trademark office ever ate here, because they had, they would have denied that mark First, display salads are never fresh looking and look like rotten food. Second, huge salad - lots of greens little ingredients. Typically a full service restaurant's ( which this is not) salad will have at least a few ounces of toppings. I went here for supper with a friend, we thought it was odd the workers weren't wearing any kind of hair net. While the workers were making our food a lid for one of the salads dropped on to the floor. It was picked up and put on to the cutting bored instead of just being thrown away it was later thrown away but it was still on the ground then on the cutting board. The food was great! I loved my salad. Although half way through it i noticed a hair in my salad ^^^ no hair nets!! I picked it out and when on because of the line of people...later my friend found one in hers as well!!! I loved saladworks until I came down with a violent bout of food poisoning the morning after eating here. I'm pretty sure it was E. Coli due to the time it took me to recover and symptoms, which means someone here didn't wash their hands! My daughter also got a little sick from her salad. My daughters like this place. I don't. I have no problem paying good money for a good product. What I don't like is paying over $30.00 for 2 meals when the meal is soup and salad. My daughter built her own salad which includes 5 toppings. Fine. She wanted to add those little curly tortilla chips to it and they cost 69 cents. I realize they have to draw the line somewhere, but she didn't ask for another helping of chicken or anything premium. She asked for 3 cents worth of tortilla chips. The salads are fine. The service is fine. Just none of it is worth the cost. My kids will learn once they start paying their own bills. read more

This is by far the absolute worst salad works to eat at. DO NOT buy from this location. I had went in earlier today and was met by a short angry man. I'm not sure but I think he was the manager . He was very short when asking what I had wanted and seemed to have little or no experience dealing with customers and orders. The store was not taken care of, the floors were dirty, there were fingerprints on the windows and food cases and they were also super short staffed. I think he may have been the only one working since my 2 favorite girls no longer work there sadly. What can I say....it's a salad! I love the fact that you can get a "make your own" salad which includes 5 toppings. Soups are hot for those cold days, but not home made. Panini sandwiches are made on thick sliced sour dough bread not thin slices that leave you wondering if there even was bread! Anyway... I will continue to make this a go to place. read more

Good selection of salads, the prices are a little high but they give you large portions. I've been to Salad Works over 10 times and never had any problems with my order. There is a Starbucks right next door so you can grab some coffee after your meal. When I'm in town I will be back. read more

Do you like throwing money away? Do you like over paying for small portions of food? If you answered yes to these questions then this is the place for you!! I ordered 2 "build your own" salads because we don't like there standard salads. The ONLY thing they'll give you plenty of is the lettuce or spring mix after that be prepared to get pissed off. Every topping was counted and 5 is the magic number here. 5 slices of cucumber is 1 serving....wait make that 5 half slices of cucumber is 1 serving. 5 small pieces of chicken is 1 serving. 5 pieces of broccoli is 1 serving. Get the idea? Now if this was a $5 salad I wouldn't care but when they charge you $11 for a salad, it better have some substance to it!! Don't stand there and count every goddamn topping like you're a fucking account using an abacus. And dressing....well, you can guess how that goes. 1 small scoop and if you want anymore there's an up charge for that too. Now I will say the girl behind the counter was very friendly and was just following what she was told. Overall the place is decent and would have had three or four stars from me, but they only get two for this reason... when your posted store hours say you're open until 9:00, don't lock your doors before 9:00. This is a five-star restaurant in the fast food category. It is not a fancy five-star place. The food is very fresh and clean, well-presented. Their signature salads are terrific, but they will change anything you want to accommodate personal taste. They always piss me off especially because I always want to order a create your own salad but I ask them to charge it as a garden salad (because it is cheaper and I only order vegetables).
